Hummus
Joe G.

Went here on Memorial Day weekend and the food was fresh and very tasty. The hummus was very good and the lavash bread was made fresh and came to our table steaming hot . We will definitely be back on our next visit here

Mezze platter was astonishing. The "Pide" is cheese inside of a special tender bread. This place is authentic Turkish deliciousness.

Delicious, authentic food at a great value. The owner was great. Want to come again and bring the family.

4.5 stars. Good food and came timely during the crazy Labor Day weekend. We had chicken with cherry sauce. The chicken was a bit dry but the overall dinner was good. I would definitely come back to try another dish!

I forget the exact name but it's some kofta dish with tomato sauce

The food is a little on the pricey side but overall it's been incredibly good. Would recommend at least coming by to check it out. Their staff are so kind and accommodating

Wife and I decided to try lunch here for the first time. There was only one other party of three while we were there. Spacious, clean, open eating area and the wait staff was very friendly. We ordered a couple of Mediterranean dishes with soft drinks and was kind shock at the bill. This eatery wasn't a 4 or 5 star restaurant so I thought honestly the prices were way overpriced. Almost $70 for 2 simple dishes? For lunch? Come on now. Will we go back to dine? Don't think so but may return if the prices decrease a bit.

Limited menu. Smaller portions. And expensive for what you get. No complaints about the food. Fountain drinks are $2.99 and NO free refills.

Courteous service from the reception to the waitstaff. The food is authentic, carefully and thoughtfully spiced and just really fresh and delicious. We got the lamb vindaloo, chicken biryani and cheese naan. It was easy to order, only waited 10ish min and was given all the necessary utensils, sauces, napkins etc. The iced tea was fresh and they gladly gave me extra lemons. The bathrooms were clean, one sink defunct but not a big deal. Its quite spacious and you can elect to eat outdoors or indoors. There's not much of a view however there's no bugs and you can watch a beautiful sky roll through with peace and calm. They didnt play any music while I was there on a monday evening at 630pm

They didn't hold back, as I requested. The vindaloo had great flavor, in addition to the spice, and the chicken was not dry at all. They also gave a nice helping of rice pilaf. The Roti was spot on and not too oily. The family was incredibly friendly and service was prompt. You order inside at the register and they bring your food to you. The only issue I had is that the place needs some serious maintenance. The bathrooms inside were not well cared for. That's the only reason I had to take off a star. Definitely worth visiting, as long as you don't need a bathroom. Remember to tip well.

Lake George, NY - I can never resist a halal cart plate, so when we needed a quick late dinner…read moreafter a longish drive up, I was glad to find Gyro Hut within a short walk from our hotel. We ordered a couple of rice platters: chicken kabob, and the chicken + lamb mix, and both are heartily portioned, with a salad, and a heap of marinated jalapeños that my husband requested for a side since we are both spicy people. The kabobs are fragrant, and the rice slightly over-seasoned, edging toward flavor packet territory, but that didn't stop us from devouring both platters with zero complaints and zero leftovers. Is it my favorite NYC halal cart level good? No. But still quite tasty, filling, and generously sized. Excellent hot sauce too - not some weaksauce. I appreciate that the fresh squeezed plain lemonade comes in a huge tub and is just water and lemon - not the sugar bomb you typically get. Sugar is available for self-administration, or, if you insist, an artificial flavored syrup can be added (bubblegum flavored lemonade? Hmm I don't know...but I won't judge.) The also offer Hawaiian shaved ice, but I'm not banking on its authenticity. The outdoor patio is open in warmer weather.

But the salads had shredded lettuce, black olives, onion tomatoes then jarred jalapeños, banana peppers ... PICKLES... and whole pepperchinis. I felt like they were just trying to get rid of food and threw it in the salad. The man who answered the phone though was super nice I assume he owned the place. And when I pulled up he was right there in the window waiting for me. Needless to say I was disappointed. I don't think I'll be back. I'm sorry

Really good! Stopped in yesterday at an odd time - around 4pm - to order early dinner take-out…read more We were hoping to try the masala fries - but they didn't have any fries. So, we ordered the Channa Papree as the appetizer. Dinner choices were the chicken tikka masala bowl and the chicken bowl...both are served with salads. We were told that it takes about 25 minutes to prepare the tikka masala (in case we didn't have the time to wait). We did! It was Saturday and we grabbed a strawberry lassi to enjoy while we waited. There is a nice seating area near the entrance so we hung out in the big armchairs. The lassi was good; it could have been blended more as most lassi concoctions that I've had are very creamy with just the right amount of yogurt tang....this one was "ice-chunky". But it was still tasty. As promised, the meals were ready to go in about 25 minutes. They traveled well and were still hot when we got home. I really enjoyed the channa appetizer; lots of different flavor layers throughout with just a subtle hint of spice. I tasted the chicken tikka masala; well spiced cubed chicken over basmati rice (same rice that I had with my chicken bowl). Some of the chicken pieces were really big and the portion was definitely generous. My sliced chicken was also really good - different flavor profile from the tikka. Since the salad is served in the same container, it gets pretty warm....but it saves having a separate to-go box for a small salad. They also have an entire rolled ice cream selection - plus chai-inspired hot drinks and other desserts available. I wanted to try the naan and asked if we could order a side of it. Unfortunately, they still considered it "lunch" time and couldn't sell me a piece or two of naan. I found that a little weird, but I chalk it up to being a fairly new business. Plus, the girls that were working in the front - I'm guessing - are not related to the owners. Friendly and competent enough, but always embrace an opportunity to upsell! I'll be sure to check this place out again soon.
