Called them to unlock my home at 7:50 PM at night. They answered the phone (it wasn't an answering service), they were VERY reasonably priced, told me what time they would be here and actually showed up in that amount of time (1/2 hour). The gentleman that came, Alfred(o?), was professional and skilled. He popped the lock in two seconds and then offered to make me a key for free! This kind of crap tends to happen to me often....lol...so I've dealt with lots of different locksmiths after hours in the city of Denver. These guys were definitely some of the top - professional, fair-priced, and prompt. Decided to re-key my locks out of safety, for denver is a crime infested cesspool...well more for my peace of mind. Called these guys, got an exact quote, saved $10 with the yelp deal, and they got the job done 90 minutes later. Paid $80 to re-key two commercial locks (not kwikset). Another 5-star review. We purchased a new townhome, and the front door had a Schlage Sense smartlock -- it includes a keypad and a regular lock and key (just in case). The key had been lost. I first called Mile High Locksmith who promised to call me back, but never did. I then called Alexius and talked to Gustov (the owner). He arrived in an hour, rekeyed the lock to use the same keys as the back door, made two more keys for me, and charged me a nominal amount. I definitely recommend his company. read more

I called Alexius yesterday to see if he could come fix my 100 year old front door lock which was sticking and had a weird trick to unlock it that I wanted to get rid of. He said he'd be there between 7 and 7:30 and arrived at 7:10. He fixed the lock in about 10 minutes and it works like a charm. He made me a total of 5 keys. Charge was $82.50 - a bargain! Called Alexius on a Sunday and they came to my home within 24 hours. Gerson (who provided my service) called to let me know he was on his way, and showed right on time, even during a snow storm! I had 2 doors that needed to be rekeyed. I encouraged him to walk through my home to get from one door to the other but he insisted on walking outside instead so he wouldn't get snow on my floors. Gerson honored a coupon I found on their website and even threw in an extra key. Did not add on any fees on top of what was on coupon. He was very polite, worked quickly and my locks are awesome. My house was recently burglarized and all of my spare keys were stolen. We called Alexius on a Friday night after it happened and Martin showed up 20 minutes after the call. I had a total of 7 different types of locks with various keys, but Martin replaced them all and consolidated them all to two keys. He spent ~1 hour in his truck working on one of the locks that was giving him trouble but he never seem annoyed and i was so grateful for his diligence and overall great attitude. He stayed until midnight and the price was more than fair. My one complaint is that the Square credit card device used, limited the tip to 15%, but we found more cash to give him. My nephew lives in Denver (I live in Texas) and he lost his one and only key to his truck and the first company he got in touch with quoted him a very low (too good to be true) price. I called the company to confirm, since I would be paying the bill to have new keys made, and the quote ended up being over $350. After calling a couple other locksmiths in the area I came across Alexius Locksmith. I spoke with Gus who gave me a no-nonsense flat rate and assured me he could be out to my nephew before lunch. After one more phone call to ensure I was giving him the proper vehicle information and receiving a new quote (we needed to have the door tumbler changed as well to make the lost key inoperable), Gus still gave me a very reasonable flat rate fee & threw in an extra key for good measure. I was very impressed w/his willingness to help in a crunch, and straight-forward approach (no breakdown of service call fee, parts, labor, etc.). He accepted my credit card information by phone with ease and immediately sent me a receipt by text. I have a self locking door between my house and garage, accidentally locked myself out while taking out trash at night. The temperature was just below freezing & I was wearing a lightweight fleece pullover, jeans, and tennis shoes, but luckily I had my cell phone & truck key in my pocket so I could stay warm and call a locksmith ... easier said than done!! Most lock & key companies will NOT help you after business hours! I called at least 7 companies advertising 24/7 emergency service who actually did NOT provide locksmith service after normal business hours. Some answered the phone and stated they do not have technicians after hours, others went directly to voicemail with no call-back whatsoever, even the following day after I called. I was discouraged but anxious & it was getting late. Before I called Alexius lock & key, I read their bio on YELP; they are a small business providing locksmith service to customers in Denver since 1998 & earned a BBB Gold-star rating. They answered the phone promptly and said a locksmith could be at my house in 20 minutes. It was 9:40 PM on a Thursday & I was skeptical, but someone arrived on time as promised and was able to unlock the door for me. It was such a relief & I was grateful. The locksmith was courteous and professional. I offered a tip which he politely declined. The cost was very affordable. This was the only experience I've had for a locksmith emergency/after hours, but it was very positive and I recommend them for anyone in a similar situation. read more
