A few weeks late on my review! But my words stand true, Alanis F. is the dream stylist to book with! not only is she an amazing person but i left the salon with my dream hair. I went here twice. Both times were extremely disappointing. The first time she cut my hair uneven on the hair that falls out of my ponytail (this hairdresser has since been fired). I tried again with another male hairdresser and I wanted fringe. After an hour of waiting (even though I was on time for my appointment), I finally sat in the chair and explain what I wanted and he seemed like he understood. He pulled the bangs straight and cut at the longest point I wanted which made me have micro bangs in one spot. It was horrible and very uneven. I ended up crying in the chair and the owner came over and said he can't fix it but I can come back in a couple weeks to fix it up when it grew in. I never stepped foot back in there after. The male hairdresser also was pressuring me to dye my hair multiple times when I told him I only wanted a cut (I have never died my hair and have no interest in dying it). After saying no and basically telling him to stop he finally did. All being said, I don't recommend going here ever to anyone. If you need to go here then go see the owner only (he's the only one who seems like he knows what he's doing but then again he hired the two people who messed up my hair). read more

I am so happy I found this salon and my stylist, Sam. The salon is very busy but that doesn't take away from the welcomed experience I have. The front desk is friendly, the assistant was so nice and very accommodating. Sam listens to what my vision is for my hair and his cutting is impeccable! Haven't had highlights in a very long time so we decided to do a balayage which resulted in a beautiful and natural look! I truly feel blessed I found a salon and stylist that is a great fit ! I almost never write reviews but had such an uncomfortable experience here that I think other young women need to be warned. I came in last week for a haircut and partial foil with Charbel. Charbel proceeded to ask me inappropriate and frankly predatory questions throughout the haircut, additionally making comments regarding my sexuality and appearance. I was left feeling trapped as it was in the middle of my appointment and I felt like I couldn't get up. The atmosphere was generally uncomfortable and I left feeling violated and horrified. I'm sharing this so other young women can be made aware before booking an appointment with Charbel. UPDATE: I reached out to the salon to share my experience. Not only did they initiate a refund process, but apologized profusely and kindly. I am very impressed with the way the owners took accountability and made sure this will not happen to anyone else. I have been coming to this salon for two years now. I am always so satisfied when I leave. Such a great team of great hair stylists. My visit today was so different than any other visits. I went to a hair salon overseas and they just burned my hair. I needed to save my hair. My hair was no longer healthy, dull and weak. I booked my appointment with Charbel ( a few of my friends recommended him) he looked at my hair and told me " I got you" and sure he did. The haircut, the color, and the waves are amaaazing. I unfortunately did not have a great experience at Alexander. I arrived on time to my appointment, and was seen 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time. The funny thing is there was another client who also was seen 30 minutes after their appointment time. Someone did apologize, but it was unfortunate because I was already on a tight schedule for the day. I asked for curtain bangs, which seemed fine when I was in chair, but when I got home to thoroughly inspect they were a little uneven. My left to my right side was a noticeable 2 inch difference, so I had to even it out myself. Also my stylist dropped clips on the floor at least twice, picked it up and just put it in my hair. For these reasons I unfortunately will not be returning. read more

So after endless research I settled on Alexander Salon. My hair was literally canary yellow from a previous hair stylist so I had very high expectations. They did an amazing job and now I'm able to look in the mirror and not cringe! The *only* downside of this salon is that they have more clients than hairdresser. I was moved around about 4 times and at one point I was waiting up front with could in my hair. Maybe they shouldn't overbook people? Anywho, at least that's my only complaint but would still recommend this place read more

Ended up really liking my haircut but the guy was kind of rude. When I told him I wanted bangs he looked at my hair and said "what do you want me to do with this?" I also tried to describe what I wanted but didn't know the proper terms so I showed him some pictures and he said "that's not what you described." Like I'm not a professional which is why I came to receive help. Plus, he made fun of my hair to another guy working there. And this was still a better experience than the friend I went with had... I came in 15 minutes before my appointment and my hairstylist saw me in less than 3 minutes. Charbel was great. I had long, thinning hair and I wanted a big chop. I honestly needed a new look, so I said anything he thinks is good- please do. I gave him a length I wanted and he made additional recommendations. He was a little distracted and would chat with his fellow colleagues, but that did not impact my cut. He blowdried my hair and it turned out great. Today was my first appointment with Mariam. My previous hair salon closed after the owner retired. My experience today was mixed. I arrived on time and was seen on time. A lady other than Mariam washed my hair right away. Therefore, I only met and consulted with Mariam once my hair was already wet. I have pretty easy hair but found it strange that she didn't do even a quick dry hair consult to start to get a sense of my hair. Mariam was pleasant and understood what I wanted from my hair cut. I like my hair cut and the beach waves styling she did for me. However, the entire appointment was slightly stressful as Mariam seemed to be helping manage various other stylists while doing my hair, answering lots of questions and looking away from my head various times. In addition, she, the front desk lady and another stylist spent my entire appointment discussing some client that was coming in later. I was in and out in less than 35 minutes for a $80 hair cut. It was all a bit chaotic and rushed. I think I will continue my search for my next salon. read more
