My bangs definitely look a little weird right now, I'm gonna have to give them a few weeks. I do wish she had cut them heavier though, cause my bangs will take a lot of styling to get them to fall on my forehead the way I want them. My layers are still pretty uneven, one side is longer than the other. I wish she had been able to fix those too but again, like I said she was very green and Supercuts it's cheap, so I'll live. Eyebrows is where this young one excelled. Super gentle touch, precise, my brows look awesome! I got stubbornly aggressive hairs on my upper lip that cannot be gently coaxed into abandoning their domain and this gal struggled to wax me. She was too gentle, didn't pull hard enough or pull my skin taut. The wax kept peeling off me instead of ripping the hair out. She had to ask her boss to help. The problem is that the only part the boss waxed was the corners of my upper lip where my lady stache is at my Frida Kahloiest. They didn't wax my actual upper lip and I still have hair there. I couldn't tell at the time by looking cause the hair was slicked down but when I got home I could still pull the hair there. So #fail. I'm gonna have to bleach it. Will stick with getting threaded.

She happened to volunteer in conversation that she was a long time devotee of this Augusto that was recommended to me before. What? This as-yet-unknown-to-me man was able to cut two completely different hair styles for two completely different lengths and types of hair on women from two completely different generations, and pull off a striking look for both?? I was sold! As someone who knows relatively little about hair I am able to give him a very vague idea of what I have in mind and he inevitably will come up with something simply PERFECT. I have very thick, wavy, course hair which I have been told is a challenge to cut. Well, I know from personal experience that it is definitely a challenge to style!! Augusto changes all that. I got my hair cut with Candace, and she looked at my hair dry and asked me around where I wanted it to hit afterwards, which I really appreciated with curls. She was able to blow dry it straight afterwards, and I was scared it was going to be too short once it dried curly. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised! It might have been 0.5-1 inch shorter than I anticipated, but it looked great! Deep Blue was the perfect combo of well priced with awesome results. and I might have finally found a place that I can go to regularly! P.S. The online appointment system is also pretty helpful.

I was there 20 minutes tops and wasn't shown the back with a mirror, and when I got home and looked with my own mirror, I found the cut was uneven, angled, and longer at the front. Sure it looked nice after being blow dried, and I typically play around with my hair afterwards to to be sure the cut flows nicely, but I felt uncomfortably rushed with her standing at the register waiting for me. The floor should also be swept between each client. That was definitely my last visit there.
