It was time for a big cut for me.. 8+ inches. My hair looks better than I ever could have imagined, all thanks to Ali at Alexander Salon. I showed her a few pictures and she knew exactly what I wanted. I don't think I've ever been so happy with a haircut and color. So glad I found my new stylist and salon... I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Great salon! Amazing people! Alex, Bridget and Tammy are all amazing and accommodating! Bridget did my haircut and highlights and she did an amazing job, I came back for a toner and she was super! I can't wait for my text appointment at the salon! read more

I debated about ever actually writing this review. While I don't have anything bad to say about this place, I also don't think this is the salon for me. There was some sort of scoutmob deal, and I used it (up to $75 off a new service for old clients, or $75 service for new clients). I've wanted to dye my hair red for ages, so I thought I would try this deal out and get a bargain color in the process. I made an appointment, parked my car with the valet, and entered. There were maybe two other clients, who seemed very familiar with their regular stylists. Brigitte was my stylist. She was young, but attentive and seemed eager to learn. She kept referencing Alexander, asking his opinions on the color process and a few other things for my hair. Everyone was personable, but this place felt a little too Buckhead for my tastes. I'm not a pretty girl, so it makes me feel overwhelmed when I'm surrounded by well-dressed people who like to talk. As I'm a very quiet introvert, it can be intimidating being around people like that. I had some images that were used for comparison for the color I wanted, and Brigitte tried her hardest to make sure it was what I wanted. She showed me hair samples, and talked about the hair coloring process. It was a medium red shade. I guess I should have spoken up and explained that I wanted a more vibrant, light sort of red, but the red she showed me seemed like it would end up bright and vibrant. I guess in my mind's eyes, I was seeing a double process color, but she was trying to get me to save money, and she was trying to be helpful, so she suggested a single process color that I was assured would look vibrant. I should have spoken up, I know, so it's entirely my own fault I walked away with a perfectly lovely shade of rich red, but not what I truly wanted. It was the first time I did something like that at a salon and I was nervous and uncomfortable, so this will hopefully be a learning experiences for me to speak up because I'm a lady, and not a mouse! (cough, Game of Thrones reference) read more

I went in there for the first time yesterday and I am happy to say I think I've found my regular hair place now! I got a all over color by Marie and she was just so sweet and literally worked magic on my hair. I am sooooo happy! Bc of how much hair I have it takes foreverrrrr to do anything to my hair and while I was there they made you just feel so welcomed and even all the other stylist were beyond nice and went over and beyond as well. As well as the owner and his wife! They made you feel like you were just a friend hanging out. I will for sure be referring people and will be back myself. read more

My husband bought me a Groupon for my birthday (Feb) and I was very excited to get my hair cut and colored as I only go in once a year for color and get maybe 3 haircuts a year, so this was a big deal for me. Unfortunately I was not able to get my hair done here, since this Groupon was only good for new clients. I came to their Buckhead location once in 2009 according to their records. I was able to make an appointment online and mentioned the Groupon, but never received a call to confirm, or any heads up that I could not use the Groupon until I arrived for my appointment. I live in Stockbridge and the drive took me an hour, so to arrive with dirty hair and to be offered 20% off of a 200+ cost without being able to apply the 60+ my husband had already spent on the Groupon there was no way I could work that in our budget without taking away from the Stylist tip, so I left and managed to get squeezed in elsewhere and received a wonderful cut and excellent experience that turned my day back in the right direction. The blame is partly to technology I made my appointment online and mentioned the groupon, but received no call to confirm or to bring up the issue of new clients only which could have been done weeks before my appointment. I also should have looked over the Groupon for the fine print, but my hubby was so proud of doing his research and finding a great salon which in his defense he did, and how was he to know I had been here one time 8 years ago!! I also am very disappointed in how the issue was handled, it was almost a sorry not sorry conversation, I understand rules are in place for a reason, but at times unique circumstances arise. With so many great salons in the area I definitely will not return to this establishment. Also since the Groupon was bought months ago there is no way we can get our money back which is also very awful, but with the money spent on my hair from the other salon I went to that day plus the Groupon I spent less than I would have here. On my experience 8 years ago I remember my hair turned out great, but my experience was not, I recall the girls doing my hair talking to one another the entire time, complaining that they had to work and not really interacting with me at all, hince I only came here one time...in 8 years! When someone is coming in and spending over 200+ and tipping you 40-50 perhaps you should be more pleasant. All in all this salon is super high quality, but don't expect them to work with you if things get mixed up. read more

I am very picky when it comes to my hair trim/cut, and as a result of that, couldn't find anyone I could trust in Atlanta for the past four years. I FINALLY found someone at Alexandar Salon - Inez is a new hairstylist who is an expert at the "dry cut" method. I have very long, thick hair, so I like to have many layers that shape my face & make my hair feel lighter. Inez is a master cutter and very friendly. I tried this place using a Scoutmob promo, and was hooked afterward! When it comes to hair, you really do get what you pay for. I would recommend Inez to anyone! read more

!!!Excelent experience the all staff friendly and professional !!! I love my new look.. I recommend 100% satisfied Thank You Danae

Ali does an amazing job and she is very sweet. So glad I found her. Perfect color, cut and blow dry and a free glass of wine. Everyone is friendly and it's a great location. What more could you ask:) read more

I am SO pleased with my experience at Alexandar Salon. I walked in to the salon with no expectations and a large request: chop off about 7 inches of my hair. Ali was my stylist, and she did a fantastic job. Ali was able to tell me what style would look good with my face shape and I, thankfully, took her advice. I had gone to Van Michael Salon for years, but I think I'm making a transition to Alexandar Salon. read more

I'm fascinated with this salon! They are so professional, so clean and organized, the place has a futuristic & modern environment and they treat you so good that it feels like you're in a spa. Alex and his team work not only to make their customers happy and beautiful but also perfect. I am more than happy to go to this Salon and if I had more time I would go every week! Highly recommended! read more

Raena does my hair and I love her and how my hair looks. It's not many people that can do my kind of hair so I give her five stars.

I haven't reviewed anything in awhile, but my trip to Alexander Salon warranted one ! I'm super picky about my hair, but I think I've finally finally found my hair place in Atlanta! Thought I'd try it out cos of a scout mob deal and the great yelp reviews - and wasn't disappointed. Everyone was super nice at the location and shout out to my girl Brigit for just being so fun, helpful and giving me an awesome haircut ! Will definitely be going back there again ! read more

5 out of 5! Lauren is so nice and helpful. She answered all my questions and did a great work. The hair is totally smooth and pretty as I want. The service quality did not downgrade because I used a groupon. Important: I'm Asian so my hair has very different texture, but Lauren totally knows how to do it! It was actually better than the Asian shops I have been before. So if you are Asian too and want to try something different you should go. read more

I made my appointment last week for 4 on a Thursday I even took off work for this appointment and I called on Wednesday the day before my appointment to confirm my appointment and to make sure I can use my Groupon. Having done all of that I asked Tina if it was okay if I showed up a little early like at 3:30, and she said that'd be fine. I NEVER CHANGED MY APPOINTMENT I just wanted to show up a little early as a courtesy since hair always takes longer. Turns out I got there at 4:05 because of traffic and Anna said "YOUR 35 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT IM NOT TAKING YOU" and I reassured her my appointment was for 4. And she said it says 3:30 and I said I spoke to Tina and so Tina comes over and now I have these two girls yelling at me and arguing saying "WHEN YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT YOU HAVE TO BE ON TIME IM NOT TAKING YOU". Tina yells at me saying I said 3:30 and I'm just reassuring them both it is a huge misunderstanding. In the end, Anna says she's not taking me Bc I'm late and that she "CANT".. but if I was scheduled for 4 since a week ago I know SHE CAN TAKE ME. As she said she was gonna go home and didn't want to take me. They spoke to me with such an unprofessional manner and did not even apologize considering when she "tried" to reschedule me for next Friday I said I was going out of town. And had asked if anyone else could do it and she said ""NO"..... honestly Anna and Tina I read great reviews about your hair talents but you need to work on your customer service and social skills for that matter Alex, thank you for your quick response. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE TO BEING ON TIME ETC but I NEVER CHANGED MY APPOINTMENT. I asked if it was ok IF I CAME IN EARLY. read more

I had a groupon for a base color and style. Tammy did my hair. She was super sweet and really listened and took her time. My color came out beautiful. I also absolutely loved the way she styled it. The salon itself was very stylish. I hope to come see Tammy again in the future(if finances permit). read more

Crystal was amazing! She did my balayage, cut, and style and I love it. Everyone is really friendly at the salon. Will return!

Suzy is AMAZING! I have thick, coarse hair that tends to look like a mushroom cloud when most people cut it. But Suzy is the only one who can tame my hair. She does unusual things to make it lay down and behave. And she consistently gives me a good haircut (something I have not been able to get with anyone else). She recently started doing my color and WOW it looks fabulous. I would highly recommend her. The salon is very nice, conveniently located next to Seasons 52 in Buckhead, AND they have Valet parking. read more

I purchased a groupon for highlights and a hair cut. My hair had been breaking off pretty badly due to dyeing it myself for so many years, so i was really hoping they could help get my hair back to a healthy place. I made an appt with Alissa and when I came in, she looked at the condition of my hair, made recommendations and then had the owner also come look at it to get his opinion also. I walked out with my hair looking amazing and a 'plan of action' with Alexander Salon to have my hair back to it normal, healthy state!! I love coming here...everyone is very friendly and Alissa is an amazing stylist! read more

Moved here recently, and had been trying to find a go-to salon I could trust. Bought the groupon a while ago, almost let it expire. Made my appointment (very quick and painless), and came in the next day. I could not be happier with EVERYTHING! Tammy took such great care and really listened to what I wanted. Very talented, patient and sweet. Every person who works there was super nice, including the owner. Nothing pretentious about anything or anyone here. Very nicely decorated, relaxing open space, and top-of-the-line equipment. I left with great color, cut and style, for a SUPER price. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend this great salon to everyone! read more

Alexander Salon is magnificent! My mother and I went there for the first time after purchasing a Groupon. I thought for sure we would be treated as second-class citizens, but this was not the case. Alexander (the owner) is a very funny and welcoming man. Bridget did an amazing job turning my recently dark brown color into a beautiful golden blonde ombre. Ali did a fantastic job on my mom's platinum colored highlights. I then went back for Bridget to put highlights in my hair, and she did not pull bleach all the way through onto the ends where my hair is already bleached from the previous ombre look, leaving my hair as undamaged as possible. She even gave me 20% off for coming back! This salon is truly beautiful... I will be back! read more

Kelly was my hair stylish. She was AWSOME!! Alexandra and she decided the exact tone of my highlights and it is absolutely amazing! It seems so natural and I am so happy with the results! At first I wanted the hair a little shorter than the hair cut she did to me and she was so patient with me to leave my haircut and the style perfect. I would totally recommend the studio. read more

The greatest haircut I've ever gotten!!! Crystal gave me a phenomenal balayage and haircut and Alex made me feel like a regular. Couldn't recommend this salon more for color / cuts. I will definitely be back. read more

I really enjoyed this salon. You get complimentary valet parking, as well as wine or beer during your visit. The ambiance is very modern/ Vogue, and while you're having your hair washed there is an impressive gallery of competition pieces. My stylist did an amazing blow out/ round brushing and my hair looked fabulous. At $90 for a cut (including tip), this isn't somewhere I would come on a regular basis. read more

I haven't had a haircut this bad, ever. I want to cry. I was holding back my tears at the salon. Now I have to have this hair for Christmas and the New Year. I'm really sad. Had high hope going in with all the raving reviews. There is no shape at all, just looks like a scissor cut straight through all my hair at once. The highlight is OK. I'm not gonna mention the stylist's name, because she did spend plenty of time on my hair and was nice. But I hate my hair! read more

My husband and I love this salon. Have been coming here for several years. Aleks does a great cut and color. I'm a brunette and his ability to color my roots to my own natural color is amazing. Staying power of the color is great as well. My own sister did not know that I colored my roots - kid you not. My last hair guy starting going way too dark insisting he could not make it match without fast fading. Would highly recommend the salon. Wella is a pretty amazing product. Recently have also had another stylist color my hair because I waited too long to make an appointment and the color was exactly the same. Can't say enough about these guys. read more

My hair looks great and highlights look SUPER NATURAL thanks guys and, again, Lidia is the best!!! read more

Alex and his team at the salon are top notch. I've been coming to Alex for years; following him from Buckhead to Chamblee because he's irreplaceable. His balayage skills are unmatched, and I whole-heartedly rely on his creative judgment. Alex is great company too! Highly recommended! read more

I actually came here about a few years back but just opened my yelp account so figure I would give everyone a heads up. I am a blonde from Califronia and made sure the owner knew before my service that I was very picky about my color and I wanted something NATURAL. Needless to say, I came out of the salon with orange looking hair. Before I left, I told them I was disappointed (more like mortified) by the color but they told me not to worry and that it would fade. Ok, if I were a salon owner I would make sure everyone left the salon happy. Even if they had offered me another service to change the color back to normal (which they didn't), I would be worried that it would come out looking awful again. read more

Kelly was wonderful - got full head of highlights, trim and blowout. Great location, super clean and modern, candy & wine, and free valet.

The salon is great and very welcoming! Alexandar cares about everyone who walks into the salon even if he isn't the one doing your hair! My stylist Brigit gave me a complete hair renovation and I can't be more happy! :) read more

Thank you Alex for responding to my review. I didn't receive a voicemail somehow but I appreciate really the effort. Thank you being kind and trying to reach out to me. You run a very wonderful salon. Tell Marie I'll be back next time I need to get my hair done. read more

Best salon ever! The atmosphere is so inviting from the moment you walk in the door with"how are you and can I get you something to drink." The stylists are amazing! I'm not actually a customer here--I've been trying to be one for months. When my salon closed and this place had a groupon I bought the groupon and thought I'd give them a try. It expires the end of this month. That was last summer. Five different times I've tried to get in on a Saturday with no luck. They've been booked for January since October/November. I can't come during the week since I WORK (which the girl on the phone didn't seem to understand). Saturdays are my only option. I'd love to at least give them a try but again, have had no luck. I guess they don't want or need new customers. Your hair may look great when you're finished, but the customer service just to get an appointment leaves a lot to be desired. Disappointing to say the least for an "upscale salon." read more

Alexandar has cut and colored my hair for 13 years! Obviously, I love his work. He is an internationally acclaimed expert in his field, understanding both the science and the fine art of HAIR! We are fortunate to have him in Atlanta. I am frugal with many things but not my hair because great hair matters! In face, several friends have left him because of price and it shows. If you want mediocre, go elsewhere. If you want fabulous, book an appointment with Alexandar or one of his other well-trained stylists. His is a long-term relationship I cherish. read more

Man I really want to love this salon because the staff is awesome especially Alex the owner. He made me feel like we'd been friends forever. Sadly though my hair color came out orange instead of a blonde. I called back a few days after to ask if I could come back to get it fixed because I hate the color and was told I had to pay to fix it. Almost exactly what I paid to get it done a de days before. I didn't think that sounded right so I called a few days after to talk to Alex and was told he was busy that he would call me back before the day was over and I never received a call back. Not cool. Sad because it's an awesome place just don't think I should pay to fix something that I wasn't happy with read more
