I Love Love Love this salon! Everyone is so kind, patient, and talented. Anna is an excellent stylist and my hair has never looked better! She is super sweet too and also makes you feel valued and important:) Also, I'm a pretty high maintenance client with lots of unique requests and they make me look and feel amazing every single time I am in the salon! read more

I was beyond nervous coming and having my hair done. Marie, the most amazing stylist ever, was so understanding and knew exactly what to do! So happy with the results of my hair, would recommend her and this salon to anyone that is looking to do their hair!! Everyone there is SO nice. Can't wait to go back again :) read more

Brigit is a magician! I've had partial highlights done for the past 15 years, but was always curious and scared about doing full color. She set my mind at ease and gave me a GORGEOUS head of beautiful, multi-dimensional blonde hair! Along with that, she gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had. I'll never go anywhere else again! The salon atmosphere is great, the owner, Alexander is super nice, and I had an overall wonderful experience!! :) read more

I highly recommend this place. Tina was my stylist and she did an absolute amazing job with my hair. I hair really long and thick hair and she spent hours on my hair. She was very patient and sweet. She did a terrific job with my balayage and my haircut. Definitely staying with Tina ! read more

Excellent experience! Wonderful customer service with very nice ppl! Offered a drink and snack when I arrived... but I was most please with my cut and color! It looked GREAT! Best I've gotten in a long time. I was thrilled to learn they use a Toner when doing highlights, which helps it last longer. Overall I was really pleased. The down side: It is a bit pricey. read more

LOVE This place. I wanted a drastic change for my hair so decided to buy the Groupon and try this place. Everything about the experience far exceeded my expectations. Amber was my stylist and she is so awesome! I came in with a super vague idea of what I wanted, red but not too red and not purple but with some blonde but maybe darker blonde and she was able to turn that mess of a description into exactly what I wanted! Alexandar also helped to consult and he was super friendly. Everyone who works there is so nice and not pretentious at all, which you might think from the prime Buckhead location. I'm sold!! read more

Just moved here from NY and had no idea where to go. I called the salon at 7:30am on a Saturday morning just to get the hours and the owner himself answered. Because it was 7:30 in the morning he said that he would take me the following Tuesday. I was treated with the best service and he really paid attention to everything to make sure that I left happy. I walked out of the salon with possibly the best color I've ever had. Thank you! :) read more

I have been going to the same hair salon for years and have spent thousands of dollars and not once has the owner ever acknowledged me. Alexandar is amazing-greeting and talking to me and other clients. Inez did a wonderful job with color and corrected an earlier problem.Very pleasant atmosphere, upbeat. I am a middle aged professional, not one of the young, glitzy Buckhead crowd but felt very comfortable. I discovered them by using a groupon but will return and pay regular price. read more

I was recommended by a friend who is a hair educationist to get my hair done from this place. I came in with really messed up hair coz the previous place screwed it up and I had a consultation with hair stylist Tina who is exceptional at balayage, cuts, and color. I went in asking for high fashion color - purple, pink etc... And Tina hadn't worked on high fashion color before but had full confidence of how to acheive it on my screwed up hair. And after a full days affair I left the place with smiles and a head full of fifty shades of purple. Tina was just fabulous, loved the ombre effect she created. The blue that was a may be achievable territory was a very well achieved territory. She knew how to blend colors into a natural looking ombre. Such a sweetheart she is! Love her genuine sweet personality. How do you know so much you ask - well I just said I spent an entire day at the salon with Tina being my sole hair stylist. I entirely recommend this place, doesn't matter which stylist works on you - I'm sure you'll leave happily. Such a fun environment! read more

I bought a Groupon here. That alone will probably give some detail as to how this review will go. Hair is not something I ever want to go cheap on. But, Alexandar Salon is a "ritzy" salon that has been around for a while. I decided to give them a try to see if it was a place I wanted to continue to frequent for my hair care needs. I'm sure that the stylists are burnt out from all sorts of walks of life coming into their salon with a Groupon. Repeat clientele is always easier than constantly doing hair for a new client who you're unsure you'll ever see again....and unsure if they'll even tip appropriately. Maybe that's why my stylist seemed dazed and completely out-of-it? She had the personality of door stop which is a little insulting to door stops. I'll refrain from using her name since I want to give her the benefit of the doubt in that maybe she was having a terrible day. I tried so hard to make conversation. But all my questions were met with one word answers. I stopped trying after the first 15 minutes of my appointment and spent the rest of my 1.5 hours there in complete silence. She also moved like molasses. I needed to get back to work and thought that my appointment would take 2 hours max. That's how long it takes to do my hair at every other salon I've been to, and I've been to a lot of the nicer salons in Atlanta. Van Michael, Salon Deco, Jamison Shaw, etc. My Groupon was for both highlights and a cut. After 2 hours, she STILL was not done with my highlights. I finally told her that I'd be forgoing the cut in an effort to save time. It was the first time I had seen her smile in the whole 2 hours that I'd been there. At the end of my appointment, she gave me her card and told me to ask for her when I call to make my next appointment. Her card was promptly thrown into the trash as soon as I stepped outside. The highlights were just ok. Normally I have lowlights thrown in as well, but somehow 2 hours wasn't enough time for her to do those either. Overall, not a positive experience. read more

I had a fabulous experience at Alexandar's! I purchased a groupon for a haircut, blow dry/style, partial highlights and toner, and as others have mentioned still felt very welcomed and treated as if I was a full-price paying customer. Alexandar took the time to come introduce himself and approve my pinterest photo inspiration for my hair, which came out amazing! I had Kelly as my stylist, and she was wonderful. I came in with a rather vague idea of what I wanted, which in the past I've learned can be dangerous in the wrong hands, but I loved the end result. I told Kelly I wanted some warmer, blonde highlights that were subtle enough to not require a ton of upkeep, but not so subtle that I would come out looking like nothing was done to my hair at all. She did some beautiful blonde balayage highlights along with a great cut, and the whole process was very fun; I loved being able to enjoy a glass of wine while relaxing in the chair and chatting! Oh and all of this is to say I came on a day when the air conditioning wasn't working (which the entire staff was super apologetic about) in the Atlanta summer and yet still had one of my best salon experiences, so I think that definitely says something! read more

Alex is the best. I found myself going to his salon after an awful experience with another salon. He brought me in and completely redid my hair. I've been going ever since for about a year and I always walk out loving every hairstyle or color made. Would definitely recommend!! read more

I love love love this Salon!!!! keri was amazing!!! okk granted I spent 5 hours there to get a color and cut but trust me the outcome was awesome!!! this is a Chic trendy European salon. Alexandar makes sures you are comfortable, being the owner, he will make conversation with you and will make sure you are content!! The best part..I have long hair and every salon in ATL that I went to wouldnt take me cause they said they needed extra time with my hair, but at Alexandar...everytime I need to get my hair done, I get my appointment, no if buts or ands :) They will def not turn you down...yay! :) They treat you with special care and attention and they give you wine and chocolates :D yummooo..lol You get freee valet parking..yay :) and they advertise by word of mouth, so every new person you recommend...gets 20% off and you get 20% off :) soo if you go try them out, mention I recommended you and we both get 20% off..yay :) Trust me if you want a trendy wow hair cut and color that everyone will notice....try em out :) read more

Best cut and color I have had in years. Alexandar is up to date on latest fashions, styles, and trends. He takes into consideration your profession, face shape, and hair type before making a suggestion on style. If he thinks something looks bad-he'll tell you (which I appreciate). I am getting compliments from complete strangers on my new cut & color. Yay! It's pricey but worth it. read more

I went for my visit after finding a groupon deal. Usually when you come with a groupon they kind of rush you through the haircut or add extra surcharges. Not this time - my stylist was Amber and she spent over two hours on the cut, highlight and blow dry. She worked meticulously to give a great cut and color. No crazy charges because of my length. There is comp valet parking so that's a bonus. Enjoy a glass of wine and be in a swanky salon! Amber has a new client! read more

I am so happy to be an Alexander's client! Everyone in the salon is terrific and it's like visiting friends. Brigit is a phenomenal colorist and she always cuts my hair just the way I like it. I've made another appointment for tomorrow afternoon and can't wait! read more

After several visits to different salons over the past two years my hair was truly a mess, and I had not gotten what I asked for no matter how much money I spent. I made an appointment with Tina at Alexandar Salon and for the first time in a long time felt truly heard. She took her time, and did exactly as I had asked. I love my hair and am so happy to have finally found a hairdresser who knows how to listen, and actually do my color the way I was asking. read more

I am so glad I found Alexandar Salon ! I had very damaged hair from color and heat and Alissa was able to bring it back to life ! For my first appointment, I had a very bad haircut from another salon that needed fixing and about 4 inches of roots that I wanted highlighted blonde. I have very thick hair and the highlighting process took a long time but Alissa did not rush through it, which made me feel better. They used a toner after the wash which is amazing and really helps the color look its best. Alissa dry-cut my hair and made my layers look even and natural without taking off the length I wanted to keep. The highlighting technique they use blends my natural blonde with the highlights so naturally that I am able to go 2-3 months in between highlights which I LOVE. I get compliments on my color all the time, even months after my highlights ! I would definitely recommend for all blondes ! read more

I had a wonderful experience this past weekend! I purchased a Groupon deal so I was worried about the quality of service I would receive...they treated me wonderfully! It was my very first salon experience ever (I'm in my 30's) and it was my first haircut in over ten years so I was nervous. Rachel put me at ease and made me comfortable with every step. She layered my hair perfectly and the highlights were the exact shade I wanted. I felt she was really taking her time to give me quality service. The salon was beautiful, clean and sleek. They provided complimentary wine which was a nice bonus. The owner, Alexandar, was very personable. As someone else mentioned, there is complimentary valet parking (which I didn't know but they made me aware of it and even switched out my parking ticket I got from the deck). My friend booked her Groupon appt at the same time and she loved her stylist and the results as well. As someone who doesn't have experience with salons, the regular price for their services seemed pricey at first but for the quality and the exceptional level of service, I would have paid full price. Would highly recommend!!! read more

Best haircut ever! Kelly Chrisman was amazing. She understood how I wanted my hair to be and took her time and gave me a wonderful haircut. Totally satisfied with the service. Will definitely go there the next time. Highly recommend it. read more

I went to this salon for the first time this past Wednesday. Bridget did an excellent job with my hair. She asked me what I wanted before she started to cut and tried her best to make sure I got the haircut I wanted. She was super welcoming and nice! I would definitely recommend this place and I would go back in the future. read more

I have been getting highlights for 20 years and was loyal to another salon until I felt like my guy was losing his touch. Went through a few different stylists, using Groupons, until I found Brigit at Salon Alexander!! Omg! I bought a Groupon for Salon Alexander a few months ago and tried it out!! Brigit is The Best colorist I've ever had... I now have the perfect pale, natural blonde hair I've always wanted. After the Groupon, she gave me a 20% off for the next time... Went today and am sooo loving my color. It was $104.00 for a partial with the 20% off and she threw in a nice dry/style, which typically is extra.. With tip, I spent $124.00. That price is perfect for me, but will be more next time. It could be closer to $180.00 when all is said and done and next time I won't have the 20% off but I'm just going to have to save up for it because my color has never been this pretty and natural looking. The only reason I gave four stars is because of the price. I would give 10 stars for the color if I could!! Love this place!!! read more

For a first impression with the salon I give it a one star due to the fact I made an appointment for today New Year's Eve at 1 PM with one of the stylists. Conveniently I receive a call this morning from someone at the salon telling me the stylist that is supposed to cut and style my hair today is out sick therefore my appointment is canceled. Instead of them trying to work me in with another stylist the lady who called me was exceptionally rude and didn't care on the fact my appointment as a first time new client was being just cancelled due to lack of customer service on their end. Highly suggest no one goes here as they are rude and unreliable. Keep in mind that you may have had a wedding today to go to and this was your one hair appointment you made at a salon in which it is the busiest day of the year to find an appointment and you get canceled on and not worked in with another stylist how would you feel? read more

Sophisticated, personable, remarkable are all fitting descriptions of Alexandar Salon. From the moment you walk in, you feel special. And when you walk out you know that, besides Alexandar being extremely talented, he paid attention to your personal wishes. I was visiting from out of town and visited Alexander Salon for a color, highlight and haircut. I spent a lot of money, but decided to splurge and treat myself to what i thought would be a well deserved experience. The color and highlights were excellent, but I was very disappointed with the haircut or lack of one. The stylist cut a very little off the very ends and didn't touch my bangs. I explained what I wanted and again she took very little off the ends and nothing with my bangs. After three hours and two attempts to communicate what I had in mind, I gave up. The next day, i made an appointment with my hair designer in my home town and spent more money to get my haircut. read more

With curly, frizzy hair, it is always scary going to a new salon. With a Groupon, I was worried that I would be treated like a peon. I should not have worried. When I called and spoke to the stylist who would cut and color my hair, she was delightful, like talking to a friend. Since they only booked two Groupon customers a day, she didn't have an opening for over a month, so I said I would go back to my regular salon, and then schedule with them since my roots couldn't wait. A little while later, the stylist called me back, and said that she enjoyed our conversation so much, she would try to fit me in, so that I wouldn't have to wait. That was so nice! On the day of my appointment, I walked in and the place was practically empty - never a good sign. Yet, my stylist, Crystal, made me feel welcome and spent hours doing my hair. When I left, my hair looked gorgeous! One big issue that made the day stressful was that the stylist was complaining about her customer who cancelled eariler that day, how she wasn't making any money on the Groupon customers, how their salon is not getting customers and other personal complaints. Not only was this unprofessional, but it made me feel really uncomfortable. Though my hair was stunning when I left, the Wella products used made my hair feel like dry straw. It stayed brittle and stiff for a few weeks. Since Alexander Salon only uses Wella products, I won't be able to return as my hair did not respond well. read more

Saw Brigit for a cut/color/highlights. My fine light ash brown hair is difficult to cut and style with varying growth patterns, hair type, and color. I wanted something nice and natural, with an updated shape and layering. She knocked it out of the park. Alexandar came by with refreshments and was so nice and welcoming. I love the décor and video screens everywhere in the salon. The location is very nice, too with valet parking and in a nice setting. Definitely will return. read more

I recently moved to Atlanta and bought the groupon for the salon, not knowing where to go as a new resident. I had a few warnings about using a groupon for something as drastic as hair color, but I was not let down. Amber did an amazing job and got my hair the exact color I was looking for. She made it look and feel super healthy and gave me advice to keep my hair looking good. I don't trust a lot of people with my blonde hair, but she was able to perfect the color and get rid of any brassy tones. I felt like I had been going to her for years after only fifteen minutes. Alexander was welcoming and present and everyone was very nice. I have already recommended the salon and Amber to as many people as I can! read more

Just moved to this salon to follow Drew, my dearest friend and main reason my hair is glorious. The results from the other stylists I saw working were fantastic, too. The place is just great, cool but friendly vibe. Enjoyed meeting the owner, very friendly, flirty, and sincere. Made the experience more fun! Saw a lot of happy customers, too, except for 1 annoyingly high maintenance chick who was trying desperately to suck all the oxygen out of the salon. Apparently she got confused about the difference between a professional stylist who partners with you, and a personal body slave who reads your mind while sprinkling unicorn tears in your path. There should be a special salon for people like that...oh wait, there is, it's called the 11th Circle of Hell. (Apologies to Dante.) I loved my experience and can't wait to return, minus a followup performance by Demanding Angst Girl. Free on-street parking and easy location off Peachtree Industrial Blvd. read more

I bought a Groupon for this place about 6 months ago and have been going ever since. Brigit was/is my stylist and I cannot say enough about her. I arrived the 1st time with terrible platinum blonde hair (I'm naturally dark brown) and just told her to make me look better. And she did!!! Complete transformation! Did a warm base with highlights that complimented my skin tone and an awesome haircut that showed my personality. I really like when the stylists ask for input from Alexandar...who wouldn't!!!! It shows they really want to do the best job....shows they're a team & not some cut throat salon. The staff is very friendly and professional. If ya wanna talk, they'll talk. If you don't, then you don't feel like you have to. Also, Brigit listens to want you want, but also knows what the heck to do if you don't! I've returned 5 or 6 times since and always amazed how much healthier my hair looks and feels. Brigit is the bomb!!! (And all because of a Groupon) read more

I do not praise lightly. After bleaching my hair last week at Red Salon's Alyssa, I wanted to put a bag over my head. I had lemon lime hair and the extra $30 treatment to supposedly tone and protect my hair did not include a toner. Back online and I found Alexandar's. I chose this salon for multiple reasons. Central European's know hair. Alexander and Vladamir, brothers, are beyond cool. I felt like family there. Vlada cut my hair and then applied the mid violet toner to my off colored hair for just a few minutes. I'm the pickiest woman when I get my hair done. I have colored my ash blonde hair for 34 years. What a pleasure this salon is. I'm loyal when I find talent and am treated like family. They are moving after tomorrow and open November 1. As an entrepreneur I cannot tell you how important it is to support local talent. I haven't been this impressed in a decade. read more
