Ivan's Mobile Detailing and Car wash

When Ivan was done, my truck looked better than the day I brought it home from the dealership. The Shift INC appraiser took one look at it and offered me to dollar for it. Ivan was quick, reliable, respectful and had reasonable prices. I will definitely be calling Ivan's Mobile Detailing for any future detailing needs.

This time, I had recently gotten back from a 10 day trip down to San Diego and back via the coast, so while my car wasn't really dirty (I put it through a touchless car wash about a week ago), the exterior was definitely in need of some love. The first time I got my car detailed, Ivan's staff came out and washed the car thoroughly, used a clay bar, and polished. I was really happy with the result. I just moved into a new house and hadn't gotten around to buying a hose, so I wasn't even sure if Ivan would be able to do an exterior detail. We corresponded via text and he assured me that he had all the supplies he needed and we made a plan for him to come to my house first thing in the morning. He arrived on time and got right to work. He used a waterless cleaner with clay to start, cleaned and dressed the tires, wiped down the windows, and polished. He answered my questions about the products he used and even recommended a plastic restorer he sells. In the morning sun and with my mask fogging up my glasses, I missed some bugs on the side mirrors and front end during my initial inspection. I also noticed that the wheel wells were still really dirty. I took pictures and let Ivan know, and he came back in the afternoon to clean everything up. He even offered to throw in a bottle of the plastic conditioner he had mentioned, which was a nice gesture. I'm pretty happy with the result, though I still think a proper wash would have removed some of the dirt and hard water built up in some crevices. I'll do a hand wash later in the spring to take care of that. While I'm not as happy this second time as the first, I would definitely ask Ivan to detail my car again and am willing to bump up to a 5 star review for a really spotless finish.

The car…read morewas driving fine, but obviously that's not something you want to see when you're several hundred miles from home. I stopped at an Autozone to get the codes checked, and was told it looked like a camshaft sensor issue. Since I was literally on the road and needed to get moving again, I called around to some local repair shops and A1 Auto Repair was able to get me in quickly. This is where I really appreciated these guys. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation, but after looking at the car they determined that the sensor itself didn't actually need to be replaced. They cleaned and reinstalled the sensor and reset everything. I was back on the road in a little over an hour.Since they felt they hadn't really done anything significant mechanically, they even reduced the bill from $160 to $80. What really impressed me was what happened afterward. They called me the next day to make sure the car was still running properly. Then after I had made the entire trip home, they actually called again a few days later just to make sure everything was still good. I honestly can't remember the last time a mechanic followed up with me like that. It's one thing to fix a car, it's another thing to actually care whether the customer made it home safely. A1 Auto Repair was honest, affordable, quick, and genuinely customer focused. I'm really grateful they were the shop I happened to call that day. Five stars from me, and I'd absolutely recommend these guys.

I called them to ask them what was done to my vehicle, and they told me they can't give me a confirmation because the invoice was already paid? I took the car to the dealership after, and they confirmed nothing was complete on the car, nor replaced. They charged me $800 for labor and parts. Traveling north on I-505, just a few miles south of the junction with I-5, my wife's car broke down (steam was pouring thru the hood). We called AAA road service and within a reasonable period of time, we were attended to by a tow truck driver. He recommended that we have the vehicle towed to Precision Auto Care in Woodland (about 15-20 miles away). Not sure how the tow truck got there so quickly, but by the time we arrived, the car was already there and mechanics were beginning to evaluate the problem. We were greeted by a Service Advisor, Lorena Torres, who quickly gave us a best case/worst case scenario of the problem. She said they would have a better diagnostic analysis within the hour. We returned to the news that the worst case scenario had occurred. A cracked radiator led to damage to the cylinder head resulting in a partial rebuild of the engine. Long story short, it would take a week to 10 days to fully repair. We continued our trip to Oregon in one car then flew back to the Bay Area to await the completion of the repair. Throughout the 10 day repair, with periodic calls to Precision, were were kept fully aware of the progress of the repair by Lorena. And, as promised, it was completed in the quoted time and within the quoted price. Once the car was back in our possession and we were driving it regularly, the car functioned perfectly. We were delighted to realize that, with the new radiator, the heater worked better than before too. Something else, too, that no other auto repair shop has ever done for us...About a month after getting the car back, we received a call from Precision to inquire if everything was OK with the repair. We'll soon be living about 500 miles from Precision, so the chance that we'll ever use them again is pretty slim. Yet, they took the time to follow-up to determine our satisfaction. That is pretty rare in today's world. This last week, we attempted the trip to Oregon in this vehicle a second time. I am happy to report that it performed flawlessly. No one looks forward to a multi-thousand dollar car repair, but we justify it as being better than having months of new or used car payments, as we pride ourselves on taking really good care of our older automobiles. Thanks to businesses like Precision Auto Care for performing such a high standard of repair that we can continue to justify our preferred method of transportation.

Involving and promoting other shops in your review while making accusations about our work is inappropriate and unfair, especially when those businesses were not part of the original transaction. Because of the tone and conduct in your messages, you will not be meeting with me or any of my staff on Monday or at any other time going forward. I will not tolerate being spoken to in the manner you have been addressing me. If you believe you have a warranty concern related to XPEL products, I am happy to refer you to another certified XPEL installer who can assist you with evaluating or processing any potential warranty claim. That would be the appropriate path moving forward. I wish you the best and hope you are able to resolve your concerns through another certified shop." keep in mind he's the one who contacted and showed up first . to multiple shops after I chose his competitor(s) haven't seen this man since 2024. Not even asking for free work or anything warranty related. After he did this whole act he must be called out especially as an adult business owner with a law degree like himself. My response; Michael Justis This response is exactly what I expected. Instead of addressing the workmanship concerns, you're choosing to label my feedback as malicious and shut down any opportunity to actually review the issues. What's inappropriate is refusing to stand behind your work when a customer raises legitimate concerns after spending around $7,500 on a full vehicle wrap and related services. My intention was simply to have a professional conversation and give you the opportunity to inspect the areas I mentioned. Multiple installers have already pointed out the same issues with visible edges and areas that were not properly tucked. That's not an accusation--it's a quality concern. Your decision not to even look at the vehicle or discuss a resolution speaks for itself. I will continue addressing the issues with another certified installer as suggested. Take care.
