I was on a road trip to Oregon when all of the dashboard warning lights suddenly came on. I stopped at an Autozone to get the codes checked, and was told it looked like a camshaft sensor issue. Since I was literally on the road and needed to get moving again, I called around to some local repair shops and A1 Auto Repair was able to get me in quickly. This is where I really appreciated these guys. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation, but after looking at the car they determined that the sensor itself didn't actually need to be replaced. They cleaned and reinstalled the sensor and reset everything. I was back on the road in a little over an hour.Since they felt they hadn't really done anything significant mechanically, they even reduced the bill from $160 to $80. What really impressed me was what happened afterward. They called me the next day to make sure the car was still running properly. Then after I had made the entire trip home, they actually called again a few days later just to make sure everything was still good. I honestly can't remember the last time a mechanic followed up with me like that. It's one thing to fix a car, it's another thing to actually care whether the customer made it home safely. A1 Auto Repair was honest, affordable, quick, and genuinely customer focused. I'm really grateful they were the shop I happened to call that day. Five stars from me, and I'd absolutely recommend these guys.

The only work that appeared to be done was cleaning the carpets and polishing the trunk and hood. When I asked about washing the car, I was told he wasn't equipped to do that. There were also dirty rag smear marks left on the interior, and the leather seats were not cleaned or conditioned, I believe he said that was extra. I was told that not else was done because I because I hadn't specifically asked!!!!! However, for $260, I expected a professional and thorough detailing, especially addressing the issue I brought the car in for. Should I have specifically asked a detailer to wash and "detail" a car aside from my primary request? When I texted him after about coming back, he said he did what I asked. BUT he didn't! I ultimately had to find, clean and purchase products to eliminate the smell and still had to have the car hand washed, and have the leather interior properly cleaned and conditioned. For the price, I expected much better service and communication about what was included. Had I known the "detailer" didn't detail, I would have hired someone else. So basically, I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend this service based on my experience. I'm highly skeptical of his reviews!
