He leaves and grabs another gentleman to help me (who's much friendlier). I tell him I'm only looking to have my 4 speakers replaced and maybe a sub &/or amp install. The given budget was about $1,500 (reasonable imo). I was told they only install premium audio systems such as JL and it would be a minimum of $3,000. I was also told you cannot bring your own equipment to have them install for you. I was then told to take my business away and out to Sac. The biggest bother was the fact that this could have easily been communicated over the phone. Not once did they look at my car, just researched its specs on the computer and asked for my budget. If you don't have a minimum of 3k to spend, don't bother with this place. It was a waste of gas and time.

Our cars looked like brand spanking new. Manny and the other guy worked really hard to make our cars looking very clean. They were very professional, friendly and helpful. My only negative was they were late but I think Luis, the owner was confused. Nevertheless, we were very happy with the results. We will definitely use them again.

I was on a road trip to Oregon when all of the dashboard warning lights suddenly came on. I stopped at an Autozone to get the codes checked, and was told it looked like a camshaft sensor issue. Since I was literally on the road and needed to get moving again, I called around to some local repair shops and A1 Auto Repair was able to get me in quickly. This is where I really appreciated these guys. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation, but after looking at the car they determined that the sensor itself didn't actually need to be replaced. They cleaned and reinstalled the sensor and reset everything. I was back on the road in a little over an hour.Since they felt they hadn't really done anything significant mechanically, they even reduced the bill from $160 to $80. What really impressed me was what happened afterward. They called me the next day to make sure the car was still running properly. Then after I had made the entire trip home, they actually called again a few days later just to make sure everything was still good. I honestly can't remember the last time a mechanic followed up with me like that. It's one thing to fix a car, it's another thing to actually care whether the customer made it home safely. A1 Auto Repair was honest, affordable, quick, and genuinely customer focused. I'm really grateful they were the shop I happened to call that day.
