I am really disappointed! This used to be such a great place to eat. We even had them cater our daughter's birthday party. But since the owners changed the food has gone seriously down hill. I used to order here at least 2x per week but I think we just had our last order. They forget to put in the pita and the sauces, the flavor is bland and the ingredients listed on the menu are no longer in the dishes. For instance, we ordered the vegetarian combo and it no longer contains the dolmas. This is the fourth time we have ordered since the owners changed and each time its the same thing so I am sure it is not a fluke. I'm just sad. read more

Disappointed in this place after my experience here. The other 4 star reviews raised my expectations. The problem was with the food (which may or may not be an isolated incident, as it possible when dealing with food issues) The place itself it clean, easily accessible with good parking, has friendly staff. The food, specifically, the salmon I ordered was really bad. #1: it wasn't fresh. #2 It was totally pink and undercooked inside. Since I ordered it togo, I didn't realize it until I got home. Tried microwaving it but ended up having to toss it. Edited on 4/15/15: I received an email from an anonymous internet troll disputing the authenticity of my review "because this restaurant does not serve salmon". My response to Mr. Genius: (1) Get a life. You in fact seem like the kind of person who posts made-up reviews if you so easily (and falsely) think other people post false reviews (2) they do in fact serve salmon. Very pleased with Aleppo Kitchen. This mom-and-pop eatery had AMAZING food and great service. We ordered #36, the mixed plate, and a small side of baba ghanouj, and this was the perfect amount for two people. All of the meats were amazingly tasty and juicy. Usually, I'm not a huge fan of ordering chicken, but the chicken here was perfect - not dry at all and packed with flavor. This is definitely my new favorite Lebanese restaurant! read more

So good! It's a cute little family owned place, when I went it, there were 2 women working there and they were so nice. I got the beef shawarma and it was so good! Nice portions and they had it ready really fast! The meat was perfect and not fatty at all. The hummus was really good too. This is a substandard eatery. The filet mignon was unseasoned, the rice pilaf was soggy and tasteless, and the salad was so so. This is no longer a Syrian kitchen. The only thing it has going for it is a little tent outside to smoke a hookah. Otherwise, don't bother. read more

PLEASE GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!!! Why? First, the food is good. For example the Chicken Shawerma or whatever they call it....lightly flavored chicken meat with no fat in it and good quality and quantiy chicken meat...not the junk meat one sometimes gets elsewhere. The chicken meat can be "dry"...because it's cooked of course...but...in the same plate is the lovel "Humus", as they call it, which you can use to dip the chicken meat into that....and you don't have "dry chicken" anymore!!! :o) The beef kabob is also tasty and with meat that has little if any fat..just tender beef! Loved it!!! Then there's the desert....starts with an "H and has some noodles with honey....very different and very good. The second reason to go to this place is that the people are "nice to you" there. They seem genuinely GLAD that you're there and they try to please you! The restaurant is not large and there are only about maybe 12 to 15 chairs in the place. But you can eat the food there...or...as we did...get take out and eat at home. Either way, you'll be happy you tried this place!!! We drove 40 miles from Thousand Oaks and we were glad we did!!! :o) read more

Wow what a great find! Was in Burbank yesterday and went on yelp to look for middle eastern food. I came across Aleppo kitchen and happy I did. The are delicious and extremely affordable. We ordered the vegetarian falafel plate, extra rice, fries and extra hummus. Their orders come with complimentary pita it seems. The pita was okay. Not sure if they make it in house. The falafel was great, on point and authentic hummus and the rice like my partners grandma makes it in their home country. Rice with noodle? It was yummy. When I picked up the order a nice man helped me check out and I couldn't believe that my order was under 30 dollars. We had plenty of leftovers and it was delicious. The salad that came with the order was a bit soggy but not sure if that was my fault for picking up a bit late and had to drive home 15 minutes more. Cant really blame others for the travel time. They are tucked away in a little shopping center. I missed it twice lol. I was very distracted but this was a great surprise read more

Great spot for lunch. I always get the vegetarian plate which comes with hummus, babaganoush, dolmas, tabouli, falafel, flat bread, pickled turnips and chili peppers. Very tasty, well seasoned and satisfying for those days where you just want to go meatless. Costs $10 and it's very, fresh and filling. read more

Silva was helpful and kind helping me plan menu and they delivered on time (even though understaffed on Sun nights), but best of all the food was excellent and abundant. We ordered delivery and the food was well prepared and packed. They followed all of our instructions and we had quite a few. We really liked the falafel. It was fresh and full of flavor. We have had a lot of falafel and this was outstanding. The hummus and yogurt were also delicious. The tabouli was too spicy for our taste but it was fresh. The only disappointment was the pita bread which was tough and without flavor. We will definitely eat their food again. read more

Went there for lunch. Food was very good, but portions are small! The two of us got one soujok and one beef shawarma sandwich and two fried kibbe. Total came to over $17 and it was like little snack food! Kibbe was so tiny the price should have been $.50 instead of $1.50 each. We were still hungry so we had to order more food. We got an additional beef plate to share for another $10 plus tax. So total I spent nearly $30 bucks for lunch and we were barely full. Would not go back again. read more
