Amazing work from the guys at Alekshop! I dropped my car off for an alignment after upgrading suspension and control arms. I appreciate them taking my input on how i plan to use the car so they can properly make the necessary adjustments. thanks again! read more

I've known Aleks for years, and Paul and Kevin too! Alekshop is an absolute gem. These guys know cars inside and out, and Porsches in particular are their bread and butter. Honest, straightforward, and the highest quality work! Highly recommended. Wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. read more

I've trusted Alekshop with every one of my cars for over three years, and even after moving farther away, I still make the 1.5hr drive because I haven't found another shop that gives me the same level of confidence. I know my cars are in the right hands every time I leave them with Aleks. From the moment the car is dropped off until it's ready for pickup, I'm kept in the loop with detailed updates and photos of the work being performed without ever having to ask. Their transparency is appreciated, and they take the time to explain what they're doing and why. There are no surprises, no upselling, and no pressure to buy parts or services that you don't want. Every recommendation has been based on experience, not salesmanship. If you're a track rat, Alekshop is for you. I was skeptical about my car feeling better on the track with a few modifications but when I received my car back, it immediately felt like a completely different car, more composed, stable, faster. If you're looking for a reputable shop to perform any work on your toys, look no further. read more

I have been bringing my GT cars to Alekshop for more than 5 years, and highly recommend them for any track-prep, maintenance, or performance-based modification work. Firstly, (and critically), the performance and track-related services they offer are not purely for cosmetic or street-cred. Aleks is a regular on track, putting parts and setup to the test to ensure they work for his customers. That he is also one of the fastest drivers on track, and out there pushing his cars hard alongside the rest of us, speaks not only to the effectiveness of his setups, but reliability as well. I trust Alekshop for ensuring my car is ready and safe for track work. The services I've been using Alekshop for have been alignment and corner balancing, brake work (fluids, rotors, pads), aero parts and setup, and regular pre-track prep and checks. Aleks and Paul are honest, approachable, friendly-guys who are always open to questions and willing to help however they can. They won't oversell you on items or services they don't feel you need, and in my experience, have been really considerate for my schedule and completing work on time. read more

I can't recommend this shop highly enough! I recently had damage to my car, and from start to finish the entire experience was outstanding. They were incredibly responsive, got me in quickly, and had my car repaired the very same day. The quality of the work honestly exceeded my expectations. The damaged area now looks brand new--you'd never know anything had happened. The attention to detail was excellent, and they clearly take pride in their craftsmanship. What also stood out was how fair and reasonable their pricing was. It's hard to find an auto body shop that's honest, communicates well, delivers high-quality work, and doesn't keep your car for days. This team checked every box. I have before-and-after photos because I was so impressed with the transformation. If you're looking for a trustworthy shop that does exceptional work with great customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I'll absolutely be coming back if I ever need body work again (although hopefully I won't!). read more

I've worked with Aleks Doba and the Alekshop team for many years as an industry partner, and they're one of the best in the region at preparing Porsches for the track. Among the select few shops I refer for safety, suspension, and aero upgrades, Alekshop consistently stands out for their dedication and expertise. Equipped with the latest alignment equipment, they specialize in track alignments, corner balancing, and custom suspension setups. Aleks and his close-knit team regularly attend track events with their clients, giving them the firsthand knowledge needed to deliver upgrade packages that work. If you're looking to enhance your Porsche's track performance, Alekshop is an excellent choice. read more

Bummer. I reached out to Alek back in May 2023 for an E46 M3 SMG to Manual Conversion. We corresponded both through email and phone and I agreed to move forward with the quoted amount. Gave them my credit card over the phone and then, radio silence! Absolutely nothing. I followed up with multiple emails, voicemail, and still nothing. I'm seriously baffled by the lack of communication and unprofessionalism. With a plan of spending thousands of dollars at this shop and then to receive this type of treatment is seriously disappointing. I should've listen to my intuition when I first called the shop and it was a Google voice number. I echo same of comments that others mentioned. Be careful trusting this business. I understand things happen, but actions speak loud! No professional courtesy to acknowledge or respond to my several inquiries. read more

Aleks is the guy that does exactly what you ask on the car without trying to oversell you the extra thousands of dollars of parts you don't need. His work has been meticulous and his domain knowledge has made the car handle like a dream on the track (we are talking record setting pace)... Highly recommend for all Porsche GT owners in the bay - all the good work without the hype! read more

I heard about Alekshop on a few of the BMW Forums and everyone seemed to really like this place. I recently purchased a new BMW M3 F80 and had Alek and his crew install H&R Super Sport Springs, 12MM spacers and perform an alignment. Paul and Alek were very helpful and did a great job! Just got done getting my Akrapovic exhaust system put on my car, and must say I am very impressed with this shop. It came highly recommended. Aleks owner of the shop is real cool down to earth guy that I had pleasure to meet, and the techs are also really nice and professional. The work is top knotch. I have brought my car to other shops with many disappointments, but this place blew my expectations. I will return for all of my future work. Thanks!!! read more

I brought my M3 to Alekshop to have their Rear and Front camera system installed with the Multimedia unit. Got the system installed, got the rearview camera, didn't get the front camera (didn't have available), and the multimedia unit can only be used as a rearview camera with F***** up angle! I questioned him on his advertisement per his website! He repeatedly kept saying this would only work as a backup camera, I said "Well, that is not what you are advertising!" Now he doesn't pick up my calls through Google connect, don't go to this shop, he will ripe you off. Save you your money, find another shop that will do a better job! I paid over 1K and didn't get what I wanted and it's just really bad service, they don't stand behind their product! read more

I recently had a rear backup camera installed in my car. My inquiries about product compatibility, features and scheduling were responded to promptly. The shop is clean and installation was done in a timely fashion. I opted to wait at the shop, although they did offer to drive me over to Starbucks while they worked on my car. My car looked EXACTLY like it did when I brought it in - no dings, no dents, no scratches, no errant bits of wiring debris left in my car. Nothing rattles in the dash or center console that didn't rattle before. To date, the camera does exactly what it's supposed to and I'm very pleased with the work. We did have one minor communication mishap that was rectified fairly quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alekshop to anyone looking to get aftermarket parts installed in their performance vehicle. read more

My car was stolen on Christmas and then recovered. I went to Alekshop for inspection. I asked for full inspection in advance detailed to suspension and brake and they agreed. But what they actually did was just OBD scan and visual inspection(only cosmetic)overall just 10min. Yet they charged it for $500. Honestly I could have done OBD scan myself at home. They told me car was fine but later on was found brake failure at the other shop. Tried to contact Alekshop but got no response from them. Really disappointed and please avoid. read more

UPDATE: Alex contacted me a week or so later after I posted my initial review to apologize and offer a replacement unit which solved the problem. However, still sucks that I had to resort to bad reviews to get attentions. read more

Since my initial review, I've returned the cameras. Alekshop hasn't returned ANY of the money. I'll send him a demand letter and then probably report this to the better business bureau and, if necessary, the small claims court in Freemont, CA. If that happens, I'll seek attorneys' fees and court costs along with the direct damages. I wonder how he'll answer a judge: "So, Mr. Dovbnya, why do you think that it's okay to keep the money and the returned item as a means to unjustly enrich yourself?" read more

I came here for a rear camera. The installer was friendly and it looks like a pretty clean install from the outside. But there were some issues with the camera. First, after shifting from reverse the video signal was lost for 20 seconds before I could see any of the car's normal displays again (GPS, menus, etc.). Second, the image is very low to the street, nothing like the view a normal backup would give you. When the installation was finished the guy couldn't reach Alek, the owner, but he said Alek would email me my receipt. But he didn't. I called and emailed and did finally get a call back from Alek saying I could fix the problem with the loss of video signal in the settings but it was too complicated to explain over the phone and he would email me the manual. But he never did. I have called and emailed repeatedly (it's been a week now) and still have no receipt or owner's manual, nor an answer to the question about the poor angle of the camera. This was an expensive camera and install, but it would have been worth it to get a good quality product and good service, but that is not what I have received. I messed around with the settings myself and was able to fix the problem with the video signal, but I'm still unhappy with the angle of the camera, and I feel that I'm going to be stuck with that or return the whole thing and get a system somewhere else. read more

Carlsen Porsche charged me $100 to tell me that the check engine light came from a O2 sensor fault and I should change them all for $3500. They didn't even bother to check and tell me which sensors are bad and just wanted to take my money. I towed the car to Alekshop and Aleks found out it was just a bad fuse. Saved me $3500 which replacing the sensors wouldn't have helped because the fuse wold still cause the check engine light. Aleks took my car in on short notice and stayed late to finish it for me so I can sell my car to the new owner Saturday. He saved my sale while Carlsen and Stevens Creek Porsche almost ruined my sale. read more

There's shops that come and go in the Bay Area. I've been a car fanatic since I was a teen and have spent a lot of time around key shops in the Bay Area tuning a lot of different types of cars. There are a rare few that I would ever consider writing a 5-Star rating for, and Alekshop is among those few. Aleks' mode of operating his business is simple: he personally looks after his customer's car and his customer. This means that his shop doesn't get packed with 10 customers at once asking him when their car will be finished. He handles each and every car individually and works within the timeline of the customer. His honesty and dedication to solving problems has earned him a solid reputation among the local and international customers, especially in the BMW community. His partnership with key businesses fosters his ability to provide the best and most advanced services around to his customers. Why is my review so positive? Aleks is responsible for making my 2008 M3 feel like a 2011.75. Everything about my car feels new again including the navigation system, which he retrofitted to latest and greatest that BMW offers. He's also responsible for the installation of my exhaust, my ECU tune, countless front lips, rear taillight retrofit, and rear PDC retrofit. There's much more to come as well. Sometimes I scratch my head wondering how it's possible, but this is truly a honest business that is founded upon a genuine enthusiasm for fantastic performance and beautiful looking automobiles. Aleks is a trustworthy person that cares about the product he delivers as well as your ultimate impression of his work. Naturally 5-stars or more if I could. read more

I have visited Alek Shop since he used to be in Pleasanton. About 6-7 years ago. He installed my back up camera in 2009 and multimedia mod. Both work great. No issues. I have visited other shops for simple issues before and Alek has always had the best quality work. He doesn't hire help at $11/hr to rotate and balance tires. I visit the shop often as I have 3 M cars and he has worked on all 3. When ever I show up, I have never seen him in his office sitting in a chair. He usually has his head in side a BMW or Porsche. Never tries to up sell. He is very busy and you will need to make an appt. His prices are very low compared to others. He does this by not having additional office staff. Him and a couple of mechanics. read more

I trust VERY few people with working on my E46 M3, and Aleks simply does fantastic work. In addition to being a BMW genius, Aleks is a great guy - he treats the cars he works on as if they were his, and his customers like family. In addition to a few other electrical fixes, I had him build my custom Valentine 1 in-mirror setup about a month ago, which is PHENOMENAL. He provided me with a loaner mirror while he was doing the build, and then, since I live and work in Southern California, he drove down here and I met him at his buddy's shop, where I watched and helped him with the install. I'm more than happy to shell out the cash to have him working on my car - the prices he charges absolutely reflect the superior quality of his work. Won't go anywhere else for work on my car if I can avoid it - Alekshop FTW! read more

I brought my 335d here on a few recommendations after the dealer had my car for a whole week (with full factory warranty) and failed to resolve a problem with the rear of my car wobbling while driving. This wobbling was driving me mad. Aleks found an issue with my subframe and fixed it same day along with installing my 19s and an alignment. Boy was I happy that he found what the problem was and fixed it. My car drives much better and I don't have to worry about the rear bouncing or wobbling over bumps. Aleks is cool, very knowledgable and seems honest. His shop is super clean and I was impressed with the nice M cars he was working on. The dealer is a joke. This is the place to bring your BMW if you want it diagnosed and/or looked at properly. I'll be coming back for some more work/mods to be added in the future. read more

Excellent and honest service! I've known Alek for a few years and he's just a great guy! He's a huge car enthusiast and his work reflects this. Finally had the chance to visit Alekshop to get some work done on my E60 M5. Although I have known Aleks for a while, I never had a chance to have him perform any work on my car. Recently though, my car's brakes had been consistently squeaking, got them inspected, and it turns out my rotors were pretty much at their minimum thickness. Immediately I contacted Aleks to setup an appointment to install new brake rotors and brake pads. Aleks was very flexible with my schedule excellent with communication. His shop completed the job in a timely manner and even allowed me to observe the work and check out some of the other jobs he had going on. A week after the successful swap, he even followed up with me to check in to see how things were going. Of course, the new rotors have been performing wonderfully and no squeaking! There was actually another time when I visited Alekshop when one of my lugbolts had snapped. Aleks was able to quickly assess the issue and luckily it was a very quick fix with no drilling required. No doubt saving me a pretty penny compared to if I had gone to the dealership to address! You can always expect to see a nice collection of BMWs, GTR's, and other performance vehicles at Alekshop, thus help solidifying the fact that Alekshop is one of the most professional and trustworthy indy shops in the area. They also have quite a few of their own impressive project cars, including a S65 stroker! In addition, Alekshop will also have private track days for its customers to enjoy. A+ in my book for Alekshop. Keep up the great work!! read more

Easier than easy. I emailed Aleks for a labor quote, and he promptly replied within a few hours. He gave me a great price, and from there on I scheduled an appointment. Once I got to the shop, Aleks was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The waiting area is clean and organized, with fast WIFI. Time flew by like nothing since I was able to get some work done. That's a HUGE difference compared to other performance oriented shops, where they make you feel like a second-class citizen and wait in a dungeon. As for the work itself, Alekshop is top-notch. They finished faster than I expected, with incredible attention to detail. Now I know why people trust Aleks and his crew with their expensive European sports cars - they are the utmost professionals and take care of this customers. Thanks Aleks, you have earned my business going forward! read more

I generally like to support the local shop with my aftermarket needs. I spread the business around to all the shop I've had a great experience with. I've had lots of bad experience in other shop and I'm not mention any name for sake of keeping the peace. So about Alekshop, Aleks run a very clean shop with all new equipment with state of the art modern tools. They do the job and make sure that it's done correctly. Not only that he takes care of you but follow up with you to make sure that the job was to your satisfaction. If you ever get a chance to meet Aleks, at the track or meet him in person. He's will and ready to share with you advice about your car and tips on the track. Aleks have lots of track experience and that get transfer to his work on your car. Went to Aleks to get a full slate of performance parts and full clear bra installed on a new F80 M3. Was beyond impressed with the quality and turnaround time on the work. Parts were installed without issues and clearbra was outstanding with minimal seams. Aleks was able to accommodate a very tight timeline without sacrifices in quality or upcharges. Aleks is extremely knowledgeable on all BMWs from e30s to f80s. I'd recommend consulting his advice to get helpful insight prior to getting any work done. He's up to speed on the newest technologies and enhancements (including some custom proprietary items R&D from his shop) and can always recommend something to bring your car to the next level from either an aesthetic or performance point of view. I will definitely be back for more work. Recommended to all! Thanks again Aleks! read more

Aleks is a great guy to work with. A true car enthusiast who is both very responsive over phone and email, but who also goes out of his way to accommodate your schedule. I heard about Alekshop on a M3 forum where he had nothing but positive feedback from Bay Area M owners. I just had a simple wheel powder coat done and some new tires to go with it, so its not like I was dropping a ton of money at his shop. None the less I got treated like I was a priority. The wheels came out looking amazing, and the new tires make the car feel like a whole new animal (in no small part due to Aleks correct mounting and balancing). I never thought there would be much difference in the way my car felt just by virtue of a tire mount and balance, but now I'm a believer. I had been meaning to visit Aleks for awhile, but I didn't know that he moved to Fremont from Pleasanton. I finally had the pleasure of meeting Aleks a few weeks ago and I will not be taking my car anywhere else to have work done. Now that I have visited his shop, I would have been willing to drive the extra stretch to Pleasanton to have him work on my car. Aleks is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and it really shows. Aleks lives and works by the motto "If you aren't going to do something right, it isn't worth doing". I can honestly say that I truly believe this is the case with him as showcased by his M3 GTS build. Aleks is a really friendly guy and eager to help with whatever project you may have in mind. I think he has me close to pulling the trigger on a set of BBS FI even though I already have 2 sets of wheels Great guy that does great work and can source some hard to find, rare parts.
