While I was torquing a bolt to spec, the bolt hole stripped and cracked. I thought I might have ruined a low mileage Integra Type R head, but Jon was able to find a machine shop to repair the broken cam cap back to oem level. Trackspec took care of removing the broken part, shipping it to the machine shop, and when receiving it back, reinstalling it, while buttoning everything up so I could drive home. All done for a more than reasonable price in a more than reasonable timeframe. This is an awesome shop with many great enthusiast cars at the shop. I had no worries about my car while it was there. If you know me, you know that my Infiniti Q50 is my baby. I do regular maintanence. I wash and wax her regularly and when I do, I wax my wheels as well. The last 2 times I had gotten my car aligned, I noticed that my wheels were scratched up. They have a shiny machined face on them so the scratches are easy to see. Both times this happened I just used metal polish to mostly polish out the scratches. About a month ago I took my car to America's Tire to get tires and they also scratched the hell out of my wheels. To their credit they sent me to a wheel refurbisher that repainted my wheels at the cost of $750. So when it came to get an alignment, I started looking around because I didn't trust the previous company to not scratch my wheels again and another shop I went to, said they couldn't do it because my car is lowered on coilovers. When I Google'd alignment, one of the shops that came up was Trackspec. Quite a few years ago, I had a Mustang that was set up for spirited driving that I used to take to Custom Alignment in Mountain View to get aligned. Those guys were certainly not cheap, but my Mustang never drove better than when they were done with it. But Custom Alignment only works Monday - Thursday and they charge $400, while Trackspec charges $300. After looking at the Trackspec website and seeing that they were racing oriented and even do corner balancing I figured they would be similar to Custom Alignment. I called them up, (at about 10 or 15 minutes after closing by the way), but someone actually picked up the phone! Great customer service. I told the guy what I needed and he told me the best thing to do is to put in an estimate request via their website, so I did. I called the next day because the person I spoke to on the phone said that the owner John would probably get back to me the same day, but I had not seen an e-mail response. Of course he had indeed responded the same day but stupid Hotmail likes to filter out important e-mails but give me more Spam than I can handle. I had them resend it to my work address and made an appointment for the following Friday. Their shop is in kind of a weird spot and is easy to miss even with Google Maps. But when I got there and saw all the nice cars inside and in the parking lot I felt underdressed. The floor inside the garage is like a car show. To get to the office you have to walk through the shop which was a little weird but John greeted me and I told him about how my wheels had been scratched previously while doing alignments and he assured me that their equipment clamps on to the tires, not the wheels. I handed him my keys and the wife picked me up and we went to Osaka Marketplace to have lunch and kill time. After an hour or so, John texted me and told me that my aftermarket front control arms needed a little extra work to be able to get the car in factory spec and would cost an extra $60. Kind of a bummer but I appreciated the heads up before hand. Picked the car up about an hour later and she rides great. Trackspec runs an excellent operation. The shop floor is clean and John and his crew really seem to know what they're doing. I'm not much of an "app" kinda guy, but I like that you get communication with them via text and e-mail. All communications that John sent to me via text were also e-mailed to me. Trackspec is a bit far for me since I live in Morgan Hill, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. read more

The folks at Trackspec absolutely know what they're doing. It's the only place I'll take my 2005 Lotus Elise. They have service down to an art -- they noticed my rubber key fob had broken (common issue with the alarm system in the Lotus) and had the foresight to purchase a bunch of them so customers like me don't have to scrounge around trying to find the right part. Trackspec is probably the easiest shop to work with. I emailed for a quote for a brake job for my 997.2 and got a response right away. The price was fair so I booked an appointment. Some other suspension parts came in and I emailed Jon again and he gave me a quote and booked it for the same appointment. When I got to the shop I was greeted by an employee who talked to me about the car and what I used it for so they can get the alignment right and he also got the keys and started on the car right away. Later that day I get a text saying the job was completed. I had to pick it up on Monday because the shop was closed on the weekend. After getting the car back and driving it I can say that they really know what they're doing and I'll be coming back to Trackspec. Took my 2024 Model 3 Performance (Highland) yesterday for some wheel tires/rim installation and an alignment (classic horrible pothole hit), and it has been an absolute pleasure. They work with surgical precision, everything's clean, they do everything to prevent scratches and the owner Jon is always straight to the point. I could go talk to the technicians working on my car at any time, they were very open to get to see Tesla Service Manual info to play with camber/caster if needed (which needs frunk access). They inspected my suspension, and accommodated every request I had, including the little things. Brought my NSX to Trackspec for a pretty long list of work which included JDM short gears, final drive, diff, clutch among other things. They had the transmission apart within hours of drop off and reached out to let me know about other worn components they observed (which I fully expected), along with detailed photos. I decided to replace them with all new OEM parts, and wanted to source the parts on my own which they had no issues with. This was important because some shops aren't down with that. Trackspec helped me build an itemized list of part numbers and waited while i ordered and had these shipped from Japan. They buttoned up the car quickly after parts arrived and had it washed and ready to go. Driving the car home was great- not just the mods but also the new parts replacing old and worn bearings, joints, bushings etc made everything tight and quiet again. Mike was the tech (excellent work, Mike) and Jon communicated everything transparently and quickly with me. Even the quote was granular, upfront and via professional software so I knew exactly what was happening. Pricing was fair - there were no unexpected charges which, when paired with top quality work, is very hard to find. I had the most amazing shop experience with Trackspec. I had first seen them on Instagram working on really nice cars. I noticed they offered corner balancing which I don't know many shops that offer. I had been waiting to get my car to a certain point before I set up an appointment. Once I had the parts I wanted on my car I set up a 6:30am appt for corner balance & alignment. Was quoted $570 which may seem like a lot up front but for the quality of work it is well worth it. They have many high end cars in their shop and the entire area is well kept including the office which shows their attention to detail. I arrived a bit early as I had drove down 3 hours but they greeted me with no problem. They said it would take about 4 hours give or take so I sat in the lobby and read a book. Every now and then I would glance up and see Jon working hard on my car. My Subaru is a low end car but they still treated like a top dollar ride. I do all my own work on my cars but obviously I don't have an alignment rack in my garage. After a couple hours Jon said my car was ready and he described the corner balance process to me. He also told me of errors he found with my suspension due to mistakes I made. He corrected those which aided in dialing in the cars responsiveness and reliability. I ended up paying $600 but as soon as I drove my car I was INSTANTLY impressed. When I got home I just had to call Jon and let him know how happy I am with the car. It drove really bad on the cheapo alignment but now it drives like an arrow with razor sharp steering input, planted acceleration and smooth evenly distributed braking force. His techs spotted an issue with the used 3rd party engine, which was minor, but would have been catastrophic if not detected. His team was further able to resolve the issue timely and get me back on the road. Jon kept me appraised through every step of the process and was transparent and upfront with pricing. The shop is immaculate, and when I came to check on my car while work was in progress, I was amazed at how organized, clean, and well cared for my car was - despite it being in pieces. Brought my 982 Cayman in for a X73 retrofit suspension upgrade. The service was fast and smooth, communication was effective ever since I got in touch with John. The price was competitive and reasonable, I pretty much call all reputable Porsche shops around the bay for quotes. The drive was 1000% better after the upgrade and customized alignment, they did a fantastic job. Unlike other shops, they not only did an initial alignment after the suspension upgrade that matched my customized spec perfectly, but also offer a re-adjustment after 300 miles once the new suspensions are settled. This really tells you how solid they are. Can't recommend this place enough. I'll definitely come back in the future. These guys are extremely great at communication, we managed to coordinate shipment coming from Germany land at their shop a a couple days early. Jon accommodate me with an early install the day the package landed. Have I mentioned that they even bought me lunch while I waited for my car? They have Wi-Fi and all sorts of amenities to keep you entertained while you wait for you car to get finished. What else can you ask for? This is your one stop shop. "Shop going out of their way to accommodate customers needs" Their shop was already crowded and full and couldn't accept anymore more random cars. I told them that I was fine leaving the car outside and i take full responsibility. i got a call at the end of the day and TS didn't feel comfortable leaving my car outside, they shuffled bunch of things around and was able to squeeze my car in. *saving the customer money and time* So now comes the troubleshooting part , you can find a John Doe mechanic that might work for cheaper per hour but end up spending 3-4 more additional hours troubleshooting or purchasing the wrong parts. Jon and his team will identically the potential problem and start trouble shooting from the small stuff until they nail the actual problem. their systematic approach helps eliminate unnecessary parts being ordered and labor being wasted, in the long run you will be pocketing more money compared to some random mechanic. *attention to detail and finish* I had battery relocation job done the same time as my pc680 just wasn't able to keep up with my daily driving need and cranking that 6.2l was an issue. Son performed the battery relocation and he did a great job. The routing was short and direct, the battery was mounted hidden inside the passenger bin to an agm battery connected to a circuit breaker. the holes were drilled clean. I purchased a new-to-me NSX in June 2020. It had a bunch of overdue work -- timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, lost motion assemblies, rotors, oil pan gasket. Jon was incredibly responsive over Trackspec's online quote system. The parts vendor experienced severe (months-long) delays, but Jon kept me apprised of the situation, and reached out once he had everything on hand. The shop did all the work quickly and provided updates on a couple of new (minor) issues they noticed. I went out of town before the work was done, and Jon even held the car in the shop for a month as a courtesy. The NSX runs amazingly, and I was thrilled with my experience. I dropped my car off here for my car's alignment and corner balance right when they opened at 9am. This place was tucked away almost at the end of Stevenson Blvd. They were friendly and helpful. My friend recommended this place as he had been here in the past to get work done on his car. This was the closest place I was willing to drive to that did both alignment and corner balance. It took a few hours to complete and they called me when it was done. My car felt so different after the alignment and corner balance. It was probably the alignment that helped a lot and the corner balance was as close to perfect as possible. If you need both of those done to your car at the same time, then I recommend Trackspec. read more

First off, let's start with my history with cars: I am very meticulous and love building high performance fast track cars. There are very few places in the Bay Area I trust with my evo, scratch that... There's ONE shop I trust with my Track car and that's Trackspec Autosports. A few shops in the past had screwed me over, so I was skeptical when Jon hit me up when I was looking to have a seat base fabricated for my Sparco seat. I thought it was a good opportunity to give them a try. Their customer service turned out to be top notch and the base came out amazing. I thought I would give them more chances to prove themselves worthy as a shop that I could trust. Well since then, my car has been there between every track day and they have completely taken over my build as my go to shop. I literally hand them the Keys and tell them to call me when it's done. Their shop rate is VERY reasonable for the caliber of work they do. My car has gotten THOUSANDS of dollars in upgrades with them, not one thing has left a sour taste in my mouth as I have never had an issue with an install or any work they have done. I beat my car to death and everything has held up 100%. Their customer service is amazing as well, David Han, a mechanic and fabricator took the time out of his Saturday off to come assist me at Sonoma raceway when I was chasing down a misfire my car was experiencing. Overall I give this shop 10/10 and 5 stars, I will continue to endorse and back this shop 100%, Jon was a lotus master tech and all their mechanics know what they are doing. Not only are they fair in price but they took good care of my car. Right when I came in, Jon and Jeremy brought my car to the state of the art ramp and started working on it with precision and expertise. You can tell that these guys knew exactly what they were doing. Layout : You step one foot in the garage, you instantly know that these guys are professionals. They have multiple high end vehicles that they are working on from a Bentley to multiple BMW's, Lotuses and even a Nissan Skyline R33 ! The shop is HUGE, clean and very well organized with state of the art equipment. Just by looking at their shop, you wouldnt want to go to any other shop EVER. Being such a car enthusiast myself, they even let me go around looking at the other cars they had sitting while they worked on my car. After about a day after the installation, I started hearing something "clinking" on my rear coils so I called them and Jon told me to bring it right over. Once I got there, they stopped working on their current job and jumped my car back onto the rack. They figured out one of the spindles were just loose so they made sure they were all tightened and even realigned my car for me! - Great customer service! I have already referred them to my business partners and friends and I will continue to because of how rare it is to find a shop you would trust! First I'd like to say that I'm very happy with the service with Trackspec especially because of how inconvenience my car might have been to the staff, with my beat up Toyota MR2 Spyder, with special tricks that you gotta wiggle the key to get it to turn to unlock the door, to not having a working hand brake, and I can't be there during working hour to drop off or pick up my car. All worked out very smoothly with good service and communication. Through emails, Victoria assigned me a lockbox with my very own passcode to safely drop off my car key. And throughout the day she email me to confirm everything including a small issue they found which was not part of the original scheduled service (alignment) and they took care of the issue for me same day. The level of detail impressed me, when she ask about my weight, since they want to incorporate the drivers weight within the measurement to ensure a accurate alignment was done. Even though my car was only a $3000 beater and the job is just a small basic alignment. They treated it and myself like no others with excellent service and care.
