I first met Rishie and his team at an EV meet at Sonoma Raceway and they were very helpful with things I could consider doing with my Tesla Model 3. He had recommended I should come in to the shop to get the suspension bushings checked because I had mentioned hearing a knocking noise when going over bumps. Meanwhile I followed ZEVCentric on IG and Youtube so I could learn more about the options for my Model 3. Fast forward about 8 months later and I happen to see Rishie at a Tesla meetup. He remembered me so we talk some more about the options I could consider but he also reminded me about getting the suspension bushings checked. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment in their shop in Fremont to get Tein Enduro Plus shocks/struts installed and to have the bushings checked and replaced. Just drove home and all I can say is WOW, what a difference. My model 3 rides more comfortably now yet steering is more responsive to input. Strangely, acceleration even feels more responsive but it may be due to my old OEM suspension being worn out. These are the guys to go to for your Tesla suspension needs! Rishie and his team put an upgraded suspension on my Tesla Model Y. The price beat out my local shop by a good $500 so I happily took my Y down for an install of Mountain Pass Performance coil overs. Best shop for wheels, suspension installation and wheel alignment, also Rishie is an all around solid guy too. First of all, not a lot of shops like to have outside parts brought in, so you're in luck as Rishie is ok with this. Due to positive reviews on Yelp and it's all true, I contacted Rishie and after several email exchanges, scheduled installation service for Tanabe coilovers and SPL parts cambers (upper front and lower rears), with alignment. A few years later, decided to change out Vertini Fairlady wheels for Enkei RS05RR, and had a great deal from Rishie on these that I couldn't pass up. He also recommended to order tires from Discount Tires and have them dropped shipped to RnD Auto, again glad his shop allows this, it's great cost savings! My experience with AutoRnD was complete professionalism and great tuning. I have a Scion FRS and enlisted Rishie and Mike's help to install my new coilovers and do an alignment. I got there at 8:30 am, and shortly thereafter Mike prepped the car on the lift so everything was ready for my consultation with Rishie. Rishie definitely knows his stuff and took the time to ask me about how I drive my car and what my goals for it are. I was debating how much to lower the car, and finally decided on a 1'' drop now so I can get used to any bumps where I drive now and still be able to track the car, and once I get wheels and rear lower control arms then re-evaluate the suspension. I came to pick up the car at 4:30 pm the same day and Rishie gave me the run-down of the values he thought were best suited for my FRS. Front: -.2 degree camber (slightly out), -.01 degree toe (slightly toe out) Rear: -2.0 degree camber (out), 0.11 degree toe (slightly in) By lowering the car and using the stock control arms, the rear gravitated to -2.0 degree camber (for better cornering), so Rishie compensated by giving me positive toe to decrease oversteer and the tendency for the rear to fishtail on the stock tires. For the front, Rishie adjusted for slightly negative camber and toe to improve the turn-in and make the car more responsive. My Ksport coilovers have a spring rate of 7.5k front and 6.3k rear, and the stock values differ on the branding (Toyota 86 vs BRZ vs FRS), which are 2.3k front and 3.8k rear for the Scion FRS. Due to the stiffer springs with 36 levels of dampening adjustments, Rishie tuned them to 10 clicks softer from the midpoint, so they still feel comfortable for daily driving. Did I mention he's a big fan of GT86's and tunes his own! So he definitely understands the platform. Before handing me the keys, he did a lap around the parking lot to make sure there were no noises or areas of concern. I walked away a happy customer and will definitely go to them when it's time to do wheels and rear lower control arms. read more

These guys came up on the site as a performance shop one of the few they had and I took a flyer on them. They were super helpful and accommodating as I was1) Late to the appointment 2), didn't have the tool for my rims, (which they called a shop down the road and ordered for me and the guy walked it over) and 3) unpacked my car to fit my old tires in the ride when I left. Basically I was a hot mess and they were super cool with everything and were great to talk too and hang out with during the whole process. I initially came to AutoRnd for a Stance damper clicker, but came out with my car feeling like it had never felt before in my 6 years of owning, Rishie diagnosed all of my suspension issues within just 2-3 hours of talking with me and fixed them completely after 2 more hours of working on it. My small issues included uneven front caster, uneven preload, -3 degrees rear camber, rear toe limitations, natural drift when driving. It was surprising how all of these small problems add up. Most was all caused by misinformation, needing new parts and previous tire shops not aligning correctly. Rishie was considerate, knowledgable, funny, high quality and a great guy to talk with. He taught me a lot about suspension geometry, proper alignment and how the car should feel in corners. While working on my car, Rishie and Mike were both really cool guys. They knew what they were doing and seemed like they were working as a team. They walked me through each and every step. They updated me on what they found wrong, and informed me why, as well as how they were correcting it. Rishie genuinely cared about me and my car. He made sure I left his shop with the highest quality workmanship. My car now feels amazing going straight, and going around corners. Auto RnD is like the Panerai of the watch world, people may have never heard of it; those people probably didn't know that Panerai uses to have Rolex movements either. It may not be the shop with the biggest glitz or glam, it's tucked away in a corner and doesn't have a huge sign that says "Yes!! We are the go-to place for slammed cars" but when was the last time you saw a Ferrari commercial on tv? If you know, then you know.. This is the standard and anything else is uncivilized. Auto RnD has been around for a long time, I've heard stories about this place; there are guys that have been to SEMA for 20 plus years that tell me that this is the BEST and ONLY shop they go to for ANYTHING SUSPENSION RELATED. I originally scheduled my appointment for an all-wheel alignment and received a great experience throughout the entire process. Rishie who is probably one of the most informative guys I know, found out the previous aligners had messed up and the tie rod ends weren't torqued to spec as well as a other nuances that were not good. He makes sure everything is perfect and inspects almost everything to ensure your vehicle is how it should be. I recently installed a new set of struts and springs on my RX8. I made the mistake of going to a typical alignment shop that was rated high but is a quick in out kind of place. The car has not driven right since. I was recommended to Rishie and told he can't do a bad job, its not in his nature. Well, that is very true. He not only involved me in the set up so that I was confident in the job he was proud of his work and walked me through exactly how the car would respond and why he set it up that way. That in my opinion is the mark of a master mechanic and someone that enjoys what they do. After driving home the car did everything he said it would exactly. Its very impressive. Rishie and his staff are extremely professional but not to a point of alienation. they don't just take your car and sit you off to the side. They made sure I knew exactly what was going on and made sure I approved of everything before the car touched the ground which I find lacking in most shops, and the shops that do let you in on what they are doing usually are too relaxed and not very thorough, This shop has a perfect balance in my opinion. While I often read Yelp reviews, I very rarely, if ever, write them, basically only when I feel I have been treated exceptionally well. This review is one of those times. AutoRnD was recommended to me by a friend. I brought in my lowered G35 coupe for an alignment and Rishie was able to get it back into the specs I requested, as well as elongate my toe bolt holes. Just to begin with. RISHIE is THE man to go to! Got my car in reno, nv used and from the beginning the car was off on the alignment and no matter what the dumb Reno mechanics would do, the car would still lean to the right. Ir was so bad that i would put my steering wheel straight, the car would change lanes to the right in 2 seconds. (No it's not a new auto lane changing feature..... ) Went to two shops in reno and one blamed it on the tires and one just gave up saying well, we did the best we can!...... So i gave up for around a year and when i moved to the bay, i heard Rishie from Auto RnD was good with Genesis Coupes. So this morning i went to him and VOILA! Done. Car alignment? Dope shop. Dope workers. Dope merchandise. Rishie and his boys will take care of you to the fullest. All their equipment is brand new (~24ft alignment rack to get the lowest of low up there) and they have amazing deals. It's conveniently placed right off the freeway and is one of a few shops like this in the tri-city area. The only thing that may scare you is 1 minor speed bump to get to the back. But if you know what you're doing you'll make it back easily. Waiting isn't even that bad as they have wifi as well as a xbox360 to play with. I was looking to pickup new tires from TireRack and they listed AutoRND as a local installer. I was about to order some 245/40/18 tires since that's what I had on before. I never like to write bad reviews as I usually just suck it up, however today's experience left me a bit sour. I tried working with Rishie the past month to get my car on the road with my new wheel/tire set up. I figured all the good reviews on here would make the 25 minute drive to his shop worth it but I only found myself disappointed after this last visit. My car, unlike most in the area, has corrosion on the underside due to seeing snow in the past (which I know is a pain to deal with) and after my first alignment with him we found that the front tie rods were seized. He did his best to get my car driving straight until i could get those replaced which i really appreciated. Today I went in to get the toe dialed in and figured I would throw on my old wheels for the alignment (of course not knowing that this would be a problem) and as soon as he looks at the car he starts cursing at me and telling his employees to take my car off the rack and that he's not going to touch it. I would've understood if Rishie approached me about this in a nicer manner however he really treated me as if I should've known and I was not cool with that. His excuse was that he is a perfectionist and likes to do things right, which is good, however his attitude towards me was totally uncalled for. After all of this he ended up "being able to get it close" but the damage was already done. I really would've thought the owner of the company would want to treat his customers right in order to build a lasting relationship with them but I guess that is not the case here. Claims to be a Volk/Ray's Dealer, and that he 'was doing me a favor' by ordering these for me, because minimum order is $1,000.... 6 weeks later my money was returned and he said it was 'too much trouble' to order new valve stems for my GT-7's. I had ordered a set of AME wheels from a place called Flawless Rides in December of 2010. They promised delivery in 30-90 days. When that came and went I check on my order. They gave excuse after excuse until 7 months had passed. I found Auto RnD because they're AME's North American distributer. I asked them to check into it and it turned out they never ordered my wheels. Rishie from Auto RnD helped me get my money back. And since the wheels I originally ordered were discontinued after I ordered them, he gave me a great deal on a set of Works. Only took a month to get them custom ordered from Japan. They made up for another company's mistake when they didn't have to. I would definitely do business with them again. read more

I recently went to AutoRnD for the first time shopping for some new tires. Rishie helped me decide on a perfect tire for my needs and budget. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He explains everything about a product or service to be done. As for pricing they are very reasonable. My tires with alignment was about $100 less for just tires at other places I shopped at. I am glad to have found this shop and I will definitely be a repeat customer as well as recommend them to friends. When I showed up Rishi had no idea that I had an appointment . So, I had to wait about two hours to get this alignment done. The long wait was due to him finishing working on a friends car. I was little irked about that. Recently I phoned Rishi to get a quote for an alignment and to install a camber kit. He refused to give me a quote because hes said my car was too difficult to work with to install the kit. What the hell just charge me for labor time that it takes. Don't refuse a customer because their car is difficult to work on. What pissed me off was that he was the one that recommended that I get a camber kit after they last aligned my car and could not get the rear 100% aligned. I have a feeling that they are only knowledgable in a small select few cars. I called AlignTechs to get a quote and they said no problem on installing the kit and gave me a very good quote. read more

Hidden charges everywhere. Called over the phone and got a quote. When I got there, they were going to charge us a whole lot more for using a credit/debit card, charge to ship items to the store and refused to give us a written quote/estimate. Owner was rude. Different prices for CASH purchase? That's just proof that you don't report taxes on all your earnings. That's pure shady and bad business. Also, writing down quotes for customers is as normal as putting prices on restaurant menus. People have the right to shop around or at least know what they are paying for. And oh, Btw, your sales people were not the issue. The owner was the one who made it look bad. read more
