I first meet Robert back in 2000, I wanted my 1997 Chevy truck lowered and have it done right as if it just drove off the show room floor . Robert made it happen, the truck drove and handled better then when it was stock , and looked smooth. Drop spindle's, springs,shocks,alignment etc. Robert is the Doctor when it comes to Trucks/Cars and takes care of business. So I went back in 2011 just to have my truck inspected, this time no question asked I gave Robert the keys, told him call me in a few days. Robert called back told me what he did, my front suspension was like new,ball joints, tie rod ends, idle arm, shocks, brakes, the list goes on and he even modified my right front fender . That is what you call trust and integrity Robert has both and I know he will do what is needed. Rob's shop was an excellent site to do the suspension and front alignment work for my 1992 Nissan Pathfinder. It had been many years and 300,000 miles before i decided to get a new suspension for my truck. The work was done on time and at the price that was quoted. In addition a small part broke while conducting the repair and Rob replaced it at no cost to me. I went to Custom Modified for new tires and was extremely satisfied and while I was there learned that Robert (owner/operator) also worked on car maintenance issues. I had issues with my gas tank and Robert was able to replace it for a lot less than any of the previous quotes I had received for the same job. i took my 1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD To Custom Modified Experts to upgrade the suspension. Robert took me thru the different setups and installed KYB AGX Adjustable struts and shocks all around and also installed Eiback Coil Springs... I spoke with Jose about the dull squeaking sound my brakes were making, and he explained that if that was the case, the issue could likely be repaired for a much lower price. Jose was awesome! Preface: 2006 subaru wrx engine build. I supplied brand new engine components to rob jr including…read morenew case halves, crank shaft, pistons, gaskets, everything and specifically requested my exact measurements for the engine build. Its been 4 years since then, and just now getting the build completed and ready for tuning. Before firing the engine, i disabled the fuel system to build oil pressure, and thats when the problems started. First it was the avcs solenoids leaking, the bolts were never secured, then the turbo oil feed line, again, bolt. I looked over everything, then fired the engine, ok great, runs wonderfully, then noticed the excess smoke from the front of the engine. Turned it off, saw the pool of oil on the ground. The oil was coming from the timing cover. I removed everything only to find the front crank seal WAS MISSING. Not incorrectly installed, straight up missing. Leak #4. I should have been suspicious of the build after receiving the bag of extra seals, and 2 rather important seals were in it. At this stage, because of the level of power im going for, im going to have to remove the engine and send it to another reputable subaru engine builder to inspect and probably fix more hidden hidden mistakes. Subaru guys, just stay away from companies other than the ones in our community. As a follow up, im a master mechanic for European and exotic cars, these kinds of mistakes are completely unacceptable for a specialized business. Pictures of my claim are attached
