I got my oil changed here and they also helped me repair my tire in the past. This time, I got my axles replaced. The service has always been quick, and they keep me updated throughout the whole process. I really appreciate how helpful and honest they are. I trust them with my car and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend! read more

5-stars, honest, high quality, cost effective, highly recommended. I came here a few times and each time they have taken care of my tires with the highest quality and have not tried to oversell or over charge me. In my most recent experience I got a flat tire, they patched my tire, checked the air in all of my tires, added air to the spare for $30 (as of September 2026). Their location is easy to find and the staff is very nice. If your in a bind, I would highly recommend Ray's Wheelhouse read more

Scheduled an appointment, dropped my car off for an oil change, alignment, and to replace all 4 brake pads. They called & said I needed to replace the front disks too so I did that. Took about 5 hours to finish. I live right around the corner so I walked home. It was $780 dollars for all services. Customer service was great & they gave a detailed receipt. Will be coming back. Edit: and they sent me pictures of my disks or rotors to show me exactly why they needed replacement. Professional and to the point. read more

Ray was a cool guy! Had him slap on some Eibach spring for me and do the alignment. Everything was perfect. Even did a second alignment for me 2 weeks after he put him on to make sure the alignment was still good after they settled. 10/10 would come back read more

Highly recommended. Easy in and out location. Great customer service. Quick, kind and reliable. Glad I found Ray!

Fast and good service. Very affordable and accommodating. Went to repair a flat and ended up upgrading my break pads as well.

From the very moment I walked in, I felt like family. I knew that I'd be taken care of. I think that makes all the difference when you walk into any business. Ray has a kind quiet humbling confident calm about him that makes you feel so at ease when you are there! And shout out to the lovely lady at the front desk! Been here a few times in the past and I absolutely 100000% recommend Ray's Wheelhouse. Thank you thank you, Ray! read more

Got a few things repaired and fixed from a past experience where a guy did my car dirty. He tightened bolts for my struts and sway bar and links for just 20 bucks and 95 bucks for an alignment and now it's not steer bumping when I drive (which was scary!) got me in same day and explained what was going on thoroughly and wanted to ensure I got the right parts for my vehicle and didn't want to up charge me!!! Will be coming here from Now on. (I have a 2005 Honda crv EX) read more

Ray's Wheelhouse - Reception and waiting room, with coffee and tea. - Auto Repair Near Me - Hayward, California

I unfortunately had a nail in my tire on my busy day so I needed to get my tire fixed asap. My boyfriend recommended Ray's Wheelhouse to me as he's been here previously. I gave them a call as they opened, and the guy who picked up informed me that if I just needed to fix the tire, I did not need an appt. Upon arriving, I waited maybe 15 mins before they were able to get me in. Once my car was in the garage, it went by quick. I saw the mechanic fix my tire in a timely manner but he made sure everything was okay. There was another mechanic who would then make sure all the air pressure in my tires were all the same and added more in each of them. I was quoted $25 for the tire. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs something fixed! The guys here are quick, affordable and do good work! read more

Tucked in middle of Industrial Auto Plaza is the BEST AUTOSHOP in HAYWARD, maybe the whole BAY! I contacted Ray through Yelp. I requested a quote for some suspension work and he replied quickly and was able to service my Tacoma that very same day! Their numerous 5 star reviews should speak for itself, but I would be TOTALLY GATEKEEPING if I didn't give props to where they are due. And RAY is a standup guy, who is friendly and knowledgeable! He gives the fairest prices in town and probably ALL AROUND, just call and find out. It's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic that won't charge you an arm and leg. I am fortunate to have my go to mechanic in Ray's Wheelhouse. read more

This place is amazing. Ray is very nice and they don't overcharge. I will definitely be going to this place for all my car needs. Thank you!

It's important to have a skilled mechanic, but it's also important to have an honest one. Not only does Ray do an outstanding job, you can trust him to do what's right. read more

Came by to get wheel and tires measurement so that I can order with Ray new aftermarket ones that we know would fit. After measurement, he said he would contact the vendor for the wheels and call me back to purchase the next day. I called him at end of day because I didnt get any calls from him and asked him about the vendor and he said he would call me back in 20 minutes. Never called back so the next day around noon, I called him again and he said he would call the vendor and call me back. Again, never called me back by end of day so I tried calling him again and this time, no more pick ups and no call backs. Ray seems like an honest mechanic and while I was there I could see he was very busy but this certainly shouldnt be an excuse to ignore customers and waste their time. Maybe take time management skill classes or invest in hiring a receptionist to manage the work but I certainly wouldn't be going or recommending this shop anymore. read more

I came into town from Sacramento area and caught a flat and called around first thing in the morning to see who was available!! Before they were even open they answered the phone for me and gave me a quote and let me come and get a tire early!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a tire fast and doesn't want to wait around!! read more

I've been going to Ray for almost 3 years now. I would only come in for tires or tire repair but he can do it all. I've started taking my cars here for general maintenance. During a routine oil change Ray noticed my engine belt and tensioner starting to ware out. He was able to quickly order the parts and got it replaced. If you're in the area, I highly suggest Ray's Wheelhouse. He's a cool dude too. read more

Had a flat tire on the freeway. Was thinking Costco but the wait would be crazy so we quickly searched yelp. Found Ray and he put a used tire for us at a super reasonable price, all done in 10 min so we can continue our trip. Thank you Ray! Highly recommend read more

I have taken my vehicles to Ray's Wheelhouse for years. They have my complete trust. They have never pushed more than I needed and got the job done on time and efficiently. I highly recommend them to friends and family. Thanks again Ray! read more

My car was in need of an alignment very badly. I had to wait until the weekend to get it done because by the time I'm off work, most places are already closed. I called another establishment prior to calling Ray's Wheelhouse to find out how long it would take to align my car, they said an hour and a half but I could leave it there so that the guy working on it could take his time and I could pick it up in 6 hours. I thought that was insane. Then, I called Ray's Wheelhouse. I was told about 40 minutes. I'm so glad it only took me two phone calls to find this place. I drove there straightaway (no pun intended) and was in and out of there. The price I was charged was even better than the competition. If you ever need your wheels aligned or anything else that Ray's Wheelhouse can fix on your car, since they don't just work on wheels or tires, I recommend you call this place first so you don't have to waste your time. read more

Ray is honestly one of the better and more honest mechanics out there. Ray's Wheelhouse - Brought back to complete stock within the day. Suspension, exhaust, body kit, etc. Amazing work! - Auto Repair Near Me - Hayward, California

I can't believe I have not written a 5 star review for Ray yet, he is amazing! We found him last year right around the holidays because our insurance were being buttheads and said they couldn't find anyone that was able to take our vehicle in and that was willing to work with them, so I called Ray who picked up IMMEDIATELY and said "Yeah no problem bring it on over!" Problem was the insurance was also having an issue with getting our vehicle from the tow yard (basically we should probably have looked for better insurance...) BUT we explained to Ray what was going on and he still said "No problem!!" I was still a little skeptical considering we actually already had a bad morning with other mechanics... but Ray kept me completely updated when my car was finally dropped off to him, kept me updated when he met with the insurance assessors, he also gave me a heads up that due to Christmas being the following week, parts may likely be delayed-which I figured would be the case. Even better, Ray called me to let me know parts came in - sooner than expected, and even better, Ray got our car back to us the day before Christmas Eve. I have never had a mechanic that cared so much to be so communicative and also not be overpriced. I have told all my friends about him but I can't believe I haven't told Yelp yet! read more

I have a 2000 Camaro SS that needed suspension work done and also my A/C. He has been by far the best mechanic I have ever worked with. Took the car to several places and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and within the first 20min Ray already knew what was wrong. Excellent customer service, fair pricing, quality work. What more can I ask for! He definitely earned a customer for life and I have and will refer my friends and family to him. read more

My fiancé and I have been coming to Ray's since before the pandemic. We even referred many family and friends to him due to his work and reasonable prices. Ray's Wheelhouse - Thanks Ray for taking care of our family - Auto Repair Near Me - Hayward, California

This was my first time at Ray's Wheelhouse, but definitely not the last. I called on Friday to get a quote about my brakes and he was able to give me a great price and get me in early Saturday morning. My brakes ended up being cheaper than what he quoted me which was awesome and he ever rotated my tires and checked my air pressure. I will definitely be back and I'll recommend this place to anyone who is willing to listen! read more

This place is really affordable and served with honesty. I've been procrastinating on getting my brakes fixed for over a year and recently my AC stopped working (due to leakage) mainly due to the fact that I don't trust mechanics, and dread having to deal with them. My bro recommended Ray's Wheelhouse and my dad was raving about it. That is speaking volume given my dad is super cheap and always had issues with prior mechanics. I knew this place had to be that good. I setup an appointment with Ray via phone during the long weekend and he was available that day and the next day... so I setup sometime a couple days later on a Monday morning 10am. Parking lot is a bit cramped so I just parked in front of a bunch of cars temporarily. Ray took my car and worked on the AC for about half an hour, then I told him to check my brakes and he did that, but it took another few hours. Fortunately I didn't have to wait there and got picked up... although I had to call/text him to follow-up. While I was waiting I treated myself to a chocolate and a coffee, which they provided complimentary. The finish time took longer than anticipated, but I didn't mind given it was the holiday and I didn't need my car. Got my car by end of business day. The check out process was quick, he showed cost and the breakdown of what he's charging me for on his computer screen. Total came out to $420, which is pretty affordable for labor and fixing my brakes. Overall I was pleased with the honest and affordable service, so I'll definitely be back here and will refer my network. read more

I had gotten some tires through a friend and needed them to be put on. I was sent to a shop (that I won't name) in Hayward. The place was pretty dirty and the guy told me to come back in an hour - I checked another shop and this guy seemed to make up his own pricing as he went along, so it was a hard pass. I requested quotes from Yelp around the area and Ray's popped up. I was greeted by Ray and he was very responsive and friendly. We set up an appointment and he was even flexible about the time. I felt the work was done very professionally and proper care was taken on my car. I would highly recommend Ray's. I'm usually weary of perfect 5 star review places but I have to say, the service and quality was top notch. Thanks Ray! read more
