First time checking this place out. First, I was really impressed with how small the place was, but how organized everything was. This place shows that a grocery store doesn't need to be so big to have a great selection of items @ great prices. It does remind me of some of the groceries from back east. Love Aldi since they have moved here. I used to come here only occasionally for certain items but now I also buy all my produce here. It is very fresh and well priced. The store is always very clean and well stocked. I personally love the fact you have to bring your own cart back to get your 25 cent deposit. I wish all stores had this like back home so you never have parking issues. My only gripe with the American Aldi is that they don't leave their boxes in the front corner of the store. In Belgium they leave the boxes out for the customers so they can use them to box up their purchases. In the States you will never see an empty box in the store and they are quick to break them down. read more

Customer service here is awful. The employees are rude and don't look like they want to be there. I've come to this store multiple times with the hope of some change. The GM here either needs to retrain his/her entire team on customer service or hire new employees. The bad customer service is driving people away!!! read more

This aldi in Santa Ana on Bristol is great, they have great selections! Better than alot of the other Aldi's I have been to.

Myra is amazing. She's always so sweet and helpful. Today she was particularly so. I was at the checkout and realized I lost my wallet. She saved my items for me and kept them in the cooler. I came back about a half an hour later after I found my wallet. She immediately had everything brought out and rung up. Her awesome customer service made my day. I love this place. The staff is always helpful. The place is not too big or not too small but ALWAYS has the basics. My favorite things to buy are the strawberries and avocados always sooooo much less than other grocery stores and very yummy. They have a lot of good, inexpensive snack I like to pick up during the summer or anytime my daughter and I are going somewhere. I recommend the "Pirate Booty" style Aldi brand snacks. I like them better than the original and they're less expensive :) I have recently moved and I am not as close to this location anymore but I always make sure I come on in when in the area. read more

It happened one time when I forgot the mask in my vehicle and I was nicely asked to wear a mask! (Shame on my Part). The prices over all are amazing! I'm a walmart usual but have begun coming to Aldis for a little over 3 months now. I usually do not write reviews but I am thankful on how fast this store is ran. I work in real estate, my schedule is always tight so when I go for a grocery run, it is amazing to be in an out of aldis in a little over 5-10 minutes. The employees always greet me and at times it does appear like they are having a hard day. I do not judge them as I know this pandemic has been crazy on all our essential workers both mentally and physically. Went here because it's new and wanted to buy a $80.00 storage box.. I didn't know they charged one quarter to use a cart. I only had my card and asked the cashier if there was a way to get a cart of some sort to put my 3 year old daughter and the large storage box to take to my car she said no I had to pay the quarter I said ok but I only have my card. She walked away not caring. This store won't last, there was about 5 cars in the parking lot and all were employees. Terrible customer service. I'll stick to Costco and target down the street. read more

Very rude short young lady at the checkout wouldn't let me talk or explain how I wanted to make sure my card worked before I put everything on the belt as well as why I needed two carts for just a moment to separate my orders. While visiting senior family members I took them to get some mangoes and other things. It was limit 6 on the mangoes. We picked out 10 to split amongst our 2 households. The female cashier didn't let us keep 4 to pay for separately-even if one of us went to the back of the line. After all the time picking them. I like the products, staff, and prices. I really, really don't like having to have a quarter on hand to get a cart. You have to use a quarter to get your cart because they hold your quarter hostage until you bring the cart back and park it in front of the store. Its to save money so they don't have to pay someone to collect carts. I doubt it saves money since I've had to buy less things because I didn't have a quarter with me. One solution they offer is to ask an employee to borrow a quarter and they make you promise to bring the quarter back. Yeah, I'm not going through that trouble. Next time I realize I don't have spare change to use a shopping cart, I'm just going to keep driving to Trader Joe's. read more

Big fan of ALDI! They have great prices and sure if you are not used to the European ways such as a quarter for the cart or bagging your own stuff then you might find the place a little odd. Kind of small not too much selection of meats. But as someone who lives down the street walking distance and doesn't like shopping at el Super this is perfect. They have all the basics and more. They have some organic fruits vegetables and meats. They also have beer and wine small selection but never the less a selection. This is the opening week will see how they do. So far it's awsome good prices, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. I went saturday afterrnoon there was a lot of people shopping but no wait line at the register. They charge you for your stuff then they have a section where you can go and calmly bag your stuff. Plenty of parking. Oh yeah if you want to use a cart bring a quarter as a deposit you get it back once you return the cart. Overall good experience and as long as they keep fair prices and fresh groceries I'll continue shopping here. read more

Didn't know what to expect with ALDI being new in So Cal. Checked it out on New Year's Eve. Pros:Low prices compared to the big chains but you're getting generic off brand stuff. Store is new and kept neat. It's like a high end 99 cents store. Cons: I was immediately put off by their grocery cart vending policy where you have to deposit a quarter into the cart slot you'll get it back but be ready with spare change. Off brand/Generic items. Small selection. The meat is questionable. We bought some ground meat for Spaghetti but it didn't look like regular ground beef when we cooked it. If you're on a budget this is definitely a step up from the 99 cent store down the street. read more

The cashiers are super fast and very courteous. At the large chain store, it seems like the cashiers are always talking to each other about their breaks and schedules. Prices are very good and I've been pleased with the quality. They don't have everything, but I buy the bulk of my groceries here. read more

First time I heard about it was yesterday. My friend said they had low prices and the coffee store brand is delicious so we stopped by and the price of their brand coffee was amazing... one pound only $3 dollars and a few cents. I'm going to try it soon. The other prices looked good too. Noticed that the toilet paper prices were real affordable and the wine too. Been there once awhile back in Anaheim and loved it but it was too far. However we just recently got an Aldi in Santa Ana that i wasnt aware of. I dragged my husband with me to check out the store but of course shopping with him is a marathon cause he never really lets me look at everything. 2 days ago my 5 yr old daughter and i visit the store again and when we went to check out i grabbed a paper bag to purchase and the checkers first question to me was "will you be paying with food stamps?" I was like, really? After i had been bragging about the store for two days i was a little annoyed. After i payed i told the checker that i was insulted by her food stamp question and more so that she didnt even greet me with a hello before insulting me. Of course she apologized and then explained that the paper bags are free if your paying with food stamps. I told her that she should consider first saying Hello and then asking "how will you be paying today" its so easy to make a customes experience so much better. But now i cant stop telling everyone i know this story when i could have still been bragging about the store. read more

We absolutely love Aldi. It's one of the stores we always go to. The prices are great and the selection has everything we need. We love the staff that we encounter here but our favorite person is the security officer at the door, he not only makes us feel safe but he is such a nice man and our kids love seeing him. read more

The store may be new, but it is still kept very neat and the products are many. Parking is abundant as it shares a big lot with Burlington Coat Factory and it has some additional spaces right next to its building that would probably only be taken by Aldi customers. In order to use their shopping cart, you need to remember to bring a quarter each time. If you are stubborn like me and like to carry around tons of groceries, the cashier might be annoyed at you to have you briefly borrow a cart to organize yourself before leaving the store with your heavy bags OR you might have to work like a packing ninja and match their quick checkout pace as you stuff your bags at the register. Make sure to check out the weekly Aldi finds and take any that you love because the do NOT last...they are there for that week or so and then they go bye-bye. I learned the hard way and now look forward to checking their website to learn about he finds for the week and plan on taking what I like. This location seems to have a long isle for hosting the Aldi finds that some other stores my not carry. read more

Super cheap and clean store from Germany. I went there last week to check it out and was amazed how need the store looked. It wasn't busy and the lady at the check out was very nice. She explained the whole system to me. They have real good quality groceries and they give a double guarantee on their store brands. She told me that I should not be afraid of testing food because it is basically a win win situation. She also recommended some items to me and told me how to prepare it. I went home and did like she said. It was delicious. She had a accent and I asked her where she came from because she was speaking spanish to someone else before. Turns out she was from Germany, too. The other lady there was arabic. Great idea to hire people with different languages. I will definitely tell all my friends about the store and come back for sure. read more
