I should start by saying that this restaurant takes putting a couple visits under your belt before…read moreyou can form an accurate opinion. On our first visit, it took a while to be greeted and it took forever to receive our food. I think we were there for two hours altogether on our first trip and we did not think that we would be returning. Fast-forward a few months and we came here because it was one of the few places open that had down home cooking, which we were wanting. I'm so glad we came again because it was such a great experience and we've gone again a handful of times since. I've had a few things here, but my favorites are their burgers, hand cut fries, the fried zucchini, and the lemon meringue pie. All of them are delicious. They also make a mean club sandwich, although sometimes they forget to cut it in quarters and just cut it in half. Not a big deal, but I personally prefer mine in quarters. The staff are friendly for the most part. There is one lady who I assume is the manager, who is almost always being rude to someone, whether it be her own staff or the customers. She always has something grouchy and negative to say, or she's belittling her staff in front of everyone. I personally would hate to work for someone like that. Hopefully she will have some joy in her life so she can turn things around. We can always tell when we get her on the phone for our call-in orders because she is the only one who is grumpy about having to type in the fact that we want to make a substitution for a burger topping. It's kind of sad that she stands out in this way, but that does not make it any less true. Anyway, the tables could use a bit of cleaning, especially the ones nearest the wall where there is dirt and dust. Aside from that, I really have no complaints about Rosie Jo's. It is one of our favorite places to eat in Ozark and we will definitely be back.

The menu has a lot of creative options, so it's easy to find something a little different from the usual brunch or lunch spots. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the area and looking for something a little elevated but still comfortable.

I've been here quite a few times since moving to Springfield and it has never dissapointed!!…read more Such a good variety of sweet and savory crepes, sandwiches and more! On top of that, the decorations on the inside make for an "upscale" and cozy vibe. Of note, I've gotten to try: Drinks: Cafe bon bob, lavender latte Entrees: Breakfast Smashburger with Tomato Bisque soup, Steak and Eggs Crepe, Shrimp Scampi Crepes Dessert: Funky Monkey Sweet crepe with all 3 fruit Both of the drinks I tried were delicious, though if I had to choose between the two of them, I'd recommend the Cafe BonBon In terms of entrees, the Breakfast Smashburger was by far my favorite!! So many different flavors that blend well together. And if you're worried about the Sriracha aioli being too spicy, I can assure you that it isn't! I'm a wimp with spice and this wasn't spicy at all for me, it was more of an added flavor. The steak and eggs crepes was decent; however I wouldn't personally recommend the Shrimp Scampi crepes. Finally, it's hard to go wrong with the funky monkey crepes if you're looking for something sweet! A must visit Breakfast spot for any newcomers to Springfield!

At 35 feet tall and 11 tons of stainless steel, it's less a utensil and more a chrome exclamation point stabbed into the sidewalk.

The fork is some 35 feet tall... it is located on Chesterfield Avenue... Location... the south side of Springfield, MO... the James River Freeway circles Springfield... at the southern point / intersection is with the S. Kansas Expressway... go one road north... turn left onto Chesterfield Blvd... the fork is less than a quarter mile away, on the right side... the road gently turns left... as it begins to turn back to the right, you'll need to turn right there... and then you'll see it. According to Atlas Obscura, and Roadside America, this is no longer the tallest but it is second tallest and the fork with the largest mass "At 35 feet high, the fork rise in front of a three-story building occupied by Noble and Associates, a Springfield ad agency. Although no longer the world's tallest -- it was bested by a 37-foot-high fork in Oregon in 2022 -- it remains, at 11,000 pounds, the world's heaviest." Roadside America shares: "Our own local associates tell us that in 1998 the fork stood in front of a restaurant that failed on South Glenstone, in otherwise booming Springfield. The ad agency hauled the fork across town to its new office building, where it's been ever since. Noble does a lot of work for the food service and retail industry, so in that respect the fork makes sense." Thank you to any and all, at the now closed original restaurant, at the Noble and Associates ad agency, and any/all who helped relocate this treasure! We've now visited twice and we'll visit again! ----- -----
