This is may favorite orchard in the Columbus area. It's small, quaint, and has a wonderful staff…read more If you pick the apples yourself you can get a HUGE (like 45 apples) bag of apples for $8!! They also sell apple byproducts and americana decor in their little shop. It's also just down the street from downtown Granville so I suggest making a day of it and grabbing a bite to eat in the cute downtown.

Went here for my bday this year to pick some apples. I love cortland apples but they're really hard…read moreto find. This orchard is 30+ mins from my place but my parents were in town so I decided it was a good excuse to show them a bit of Ohio on the way. The place looks tiny from the parking lot but it goes back for acres. The lady in the small produce market was very friendly and gave us directions to the apples that were ready to be picked, handed us a few bags, and we were on our way. I wish i knew that we could had driven back there since all we heard was 'it's a lovely walk.' It was a LONG but very nice walk. We passed a pear orchard, a nice small lake and a couple orchards before walking up a large hill to the far orchard where the corn and apples were waiting to be picked. Each bag she gave us was half a bushel and each (filled) is $10. If you dont fill a bag then it goes per pound. We got 2 bags of gala and cortland, and some pumpkin butter, and jams, and etc. This place has lots of stuff, not so cheap but worth it kind of stuff. $5.25 for a jar of blueberry jellies. We'll be back here for the many other fruits they have 'pick your own' for. The corn is also pick your own. They make their own products in the store too. I did not, however, see any cider. I have may been too early for that this year. I went very early in Sept. I have told friends about this place and all have loved it. It has the real family owned orchard feel and not the large scale agra buis feel which is what we were looking for. I'll be back for sure.

Uptown Westerville Farmers Market - Best pierogi in Columbus, maybe in all Ohio.

Went to get coffee today at Espresso Air and learned the farmers market was today (Saturday) so we…read moredecided to walk a block and check it out. The ambiance is very family friendly, dog friendly and includive. Great vibe! It has gotten considerably larger since they moved it to the big public lot behind Jimmy V's. The market was celebrating its 10th anniversary and was giving out free reusable sacks to every person/family that entered, which was a nice bonus! Our small dog, Loki was given his pre market pep talk (by his humans) of no barking and no fighting with the big dogs or taking ice cream out of babes hands.... He promised to be on biscuits best behavior. There were plenty of dogs there.... Loki was happy about that. Kids werent off the rails here, that was nice. However, people need to realize not every dog wants a human, kid or big dog to surprise it to say hello without asking its owner first. there may or may not of been a bit of barking at that occasion. Lol. There was a nice selection of vendors. Many local farmers. Good selection of freshly butchered meats. We left with some lamb, Tulip Cafe desserts and a dozen pierogis from our most fav vendor "Sweet Cle-bus" I have to give the vendor, Tulip Cafe, big props. Seldom do I think a cookie is worth 3 dollars let alone four... but their nutella cookie is completely worth it. I would of been buying this often and by the dozens if my kids were still little. Its the perfect amount of sweetness and you just feel better about it being made with Nutella vs chocolate. Would of had a close up picture for you all but I ate it and did not and would not share. Thank you Westerville for hosting such a nice variety of vendors. We enjoyed our visit and hope to stop back!

We left with local honey & peanut butter, and our friends left with lemonade, strawberries, herbs and more. Was hoping for more fresh produce, but it was only the 1st week of opening so I'm sure more will come! Definitely worth a look!
