I have had nothing but issues with Rural King and there background checks system, anywhere else I go, have my stuff in a couple of days. Then, for a store to sell firearms and not uphold the law, you are not a supporter of 2A. After further research, seems that plenty of people have issues with Rural King, my business will go elsewhere from now on. read more

Exceptionally poor compliance with Ohio's mask requirement in this store. I was very disappointed and concerned and I could not get my supplies and check out fast enough. About 80 percent of customers were wandering the aisles bare faced. Everyone should know better and the store should enforce the mask requirement for the good of their employees and customers, to say nothing of the fact that it is the law. I will not be stepping foot in this store again. read more

Ah, Rural King. I've passed this so many times, on my way somewhere else. Dropped in today with a diverse list, and found some of the things I needed. There is a lot here, but it is a bit odd. What can we compare this to? The farmer's Target? A small Fleet Farm? A smaller Menard's? A supersized Tractor Supply? My friend calls it TSC meets Odd Lots, and that comes pretty close. Do you need supplies to raise chickens? Check here. Camo rollaboards? They're here. Did you ever dream of Mossy Oak salsa? It's here. (I know it might not sound appetizing, but if you know what Mossy Oak is you probably have no problem eating branded salsa.) They actually have a big snack section, with bulk candy, potato chips, etc. Even some oddball pops, including a root beer I've never seen (and I have had a lot of root beers.) Boots, hardware, pet food, gardening stuff, serious yard equipment- they have it. I left with some storage tubs and some candy, but in summer I could have gotten some yard stuff. You'll see lots of trucks in the parking lot, and the occasional boat. There's country playing, of course. Service is very good. Prices are about average. I think I'd rather just go to Meijer, Menard's, and a garden center, but if you think of this as the intersection of those three it might be a useful place for you. read more

Have driven by Rural King for years and only recently became a customer. They honestly have a little of everything from tools, boots, work wear, day to day wear, hunting, fishing, food, home and garden, farming, stuff for inside the home, pet supplies, painting supplies and much, much more that I haven't noticed or shopped there for yet. I made this stop to purchase a home defense shot gun after seeing some advertised on sale. Guy working in the fire arms department was friendly, knowledgable, knew his inventory, and was able to give feedback on some different models, compare them, and share some customer experiences. Obviouslly he enjoyed his job and listened to his customers. I didn't get the gun I thought I was going to buy, I think I got one a little better at a good price. Background check was faster than expected and check out was easy. I like that coffee and free, fresh popped popcorn are part of the Rural King experience. I always get a bag for the store and another as I walk out the door. Store was large, clean, and organized. The parking lot was clean, well lit, and they do a good job of handling the snow. Only complaint is that I wish they had more overhead and end cap signage to help direct the customers to what they need when an employee is not available to direct. No problems recommending Rural King to anyone. read more

Not the cleanest store, but certainly cheaper than Menards. Also, we love the Christian music and the Carhartt selection.

Treated very rudely when trying to return boots. Not sure ill be back. Usually shop for dog food and other stuff... very unhappy anout the treatment at the "customer service " desk read more

This is a great store which is fun to shop in and lots of helpful happy employees. We find our dog food brand the cheapest there also we use blue diamond in like it and my dog does too. read more

An update to my previous review. I've been back here a few times since and have to take away another star. This place is really meant for a last resort for lack of other options (I.e. We go there for feed because it's the closest place). Definitely not a place I would visit if there are other options nearby. Bad customer service, and since they have a little bit of everything they have no real options on anything. read more
