We were greeted by a wonderful young lady who looked around at all the empty tables and said, "Sit anywhere!" We looked around at all the available tables and chose a round four seater by the door. As we were sitting down, an older lady who appeared to be the manager said not that one! You have to sit at a square table. I looked around and only four of the 12 tables in the room had guests. I asked why and she said it is a rule because if a group of five or more come in they need the round table. I looked at three large round empty tables that could seat five or more. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and she replied she is not here and walked off. We went to a square table and had our meal. Only two other people came in while we were there and the same lady told them to sit anywhere. The food was good, the young people who served us were excellent but the manager was rude, devoid of any concept of the importance of good customer service and unyielding in her effort to follow her rule. Had I been alone, I would have left. I definitely will not go back.

If I were one of the other randos who have reviewed this place, that would probably be enough of a review. I am highly suspicious of their legitimacy so I will make sure and be a little more descriptive. I am a breakfast loving lunatic. I prefer my breakfast joints to be more traditional than modern fancy pants. Daisy Dukes is slightly more fancy pants that places I normally frequent, which is odd considering it's named after super short jorts, but it is causal enough that you don't need to dress up or anything. The breakfast menu is kind of all over the place. There are a few omelets, but no traditional western omelet. To me, it seems that offering lunch and breakfast at the same time makes both meals suffer. I hate brunch which could make me biased, but I was hopeful for more traditional breakfast offerings. If you are more of a fancy breakfast person you will probably not be bothered by this fact. I ultimately decided on their Cajun omelet which promised hot sausage, cheddar, onions, tomatoes, paprika, pepper, and parsley. It contained all of those things, but had issues. The first was that it was very dry. I'm not sure if this was an issue with it being overcooked or something else, but omelets should be a little more moist. The next issue was the lack of flavor. When I think Cajun, I think of flavor. It may be ok to call something Cajun and sell it to tourists in the FQ with their lack of LA taste buds, but here it is false advertisement. I drenched in hot sauce which improved it considerably. Speaking of hot sauce, this is an area where DD shines. Their house hot sauce is a blend of Tabasco peppers and Habaneros. It is phenomenal. If you know anything about me you know I love hot sauce on almost everything. Their hot sauce is really stellar. If the issues I listed about my omelet were the only ones I experienced, this would probably be a three start review. Unfortunately the service was also pretty awful. The server was friendly, but she seemed far too busy to serve us effectively. Ordering took far too long as did getting drinks, refills, etc. When the food was delivered it came out at different times which seemed odd since the restaurant didn't appear that busy. There was a car show going on outside when I ate here so I am not sure if that is what made the service suffer. I'd estimate half of the tables were open when I sat down, but maybe there was something else going on I didn't see. But service really was not good. Would I go here again? Maybe. I say that because I do like supporting local breakfast joints. Based on this experience will it be my go-to spot? Negative.
