I am very sensitive about extreme alterations to my face, so I have been careful to only go to plastic surgeons and Dermatologist for all of my injections. My regular doctors were booked up and I was desperate for an immediate appointment. I thought I should let my guard down and try something new and go to a Medi spa like everyone else does and not be such a snob about having to have a doctor inject me. So I went online and LA skin beauty kept popping up everywhere I would look. It looked like a chain and that made me a bit nervous because they had so many locations and such a massive staff, but I thought to myself they must hire the best of the best because they have such a big reputation to protect so I went for it. I gave them a call and somehow they had an appointment as early as 30 minutes away available for me. They also had 10 other appointments all scattered throughout the day that was available for me to take, which should have been a red flag for me to begin with. Most of the injectors I visit are booked for months in advance, but this one was available within 30 minutes. I went ahead and booked the appointment because I was desperate. The injector Betty, was so lovely and nice and spent so much time with me explaining all of the things that she could do to help me with my problem areas. I trusted her and told her to do what would be best to solve my issues. I like to let professionals do what they do best. Or so that's how LA skin beauty portrays itself! She gave me almost 80 units of Botox throughout my entire face and neck. A number that I had never had before. I paid my nearly $1000 bill and went home to only wake up 48 hours later with a crooked mouth. I contacted Betty immediately and sent her a picture and a video showing her that I was having a difficult time speaking, and that the right side of my mouth was not opening properly. She suggested that maybe I did something to my own face. After realizing that is an impossibility, there was still no admission of her injecting the wrong muscle. Instead, she suggested that the Botox must have seeped into a neighboring muscle, which caused the paralysis on one side of my face. I am clearly distraught and have to live with this for the next three months of having a crooked smile, difficulty speaking, difficulty eating, and even difficulty kissing my husband. I can't go to out with my friends! I can't talk to my clients!! I've had to cancel two video shots! This is crazy!! They ruined my life in a matter of minutes!! I was absolutely mortified and asked for a refund. I am the type of woman who doesn't even return a sweater. I rather give things away, but it felt like such an injustice and a true crime to charge a customer all this money and destroy their face!! It's just WRONG!! It's been three weeks now and I have had 10 different phone tag conversations with two different managers who have offered me $200 and free visit to their North Hollywood office for micro Current treatment, which is medically known to NOT help get rid of Botox. I also work full-time and live in Pasadena so how could I inconvenience my life any further and drive out to North Hollywood every three days to receive a treatment that won't help. Is this how they get patience off their back? Please save yourself the embarrassment and humiliation of having any injections done at LA skin beauty. I have to walk around for the next three months looking like I have suffered a massive stroke. It is humiliating. It is demeaning. Since then I was very self-conscious about them because they looked awful. I tried creams, tea bags, cold water compresses, etc. and nothing worked so I made a goal to have lower blepharoplasty done before the end of this year. Around August 2025, I was referred to a plastic surgeon by a friend. The doctor was reluctant to perform surgery on me for a couple of different reasons which I won't go into great detail. So without knowing anyone else, I found Dr. Wang and another Asian doctor via the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Since I am Asian, I was specifically looking for Asian doctors who had experience with this surgery on Asian males. I looked at his website, searched for any medical malpractice cases, lawsuits, was he board certified, etc. then scheduled an initial visit. Including Dr. Wang, I purposely visited with three doctor's for this surgery. During the visit with Dr. Wang, I asked about his facilities, the pre-op and post-op steps, aftercare support and follow-ups, shared with him my concerns (stemming from the visit with the first doctor), and a variety of additional questions. In fact, before the actual surgery date, I had two additional visits with him to talk over the initial concerns I had. Incidentally, there was no charge for these visits. Dr. Wang spent plenty of time with me during all three pre-op meetings and saw me pretty quickly meaning, once I stepped into the office for my appointment, I was seen by him in less than fifteen minutes. The surgery went smoothly and I'm very happy with the outcome. I've had four follow-up visits with him with a fifth one scheduled for February 2027. The office staff is terrific and helpful, especially Michelle Y. The facility is very nice, there's plenty of parking, and overall, a positive experience.

Worst massage experience I've ever had…read more Before the massage even started, the lady asked for payment $60 for an hour FULL BODY MASSAGE and a TIP upfront. I told her I would tip after the service instead. Right away, the experience went downhill. She told me to lay on my stomach and spent the first 15 minutes just lightly rubbing my back with almost no pressure at all. When I asked her to go harder, she suddenly became too rough and actually hurt me. I got so uncomfortable that I let out a huge sigh. I checked the clock and realized she had only been rubbing my back the entire time. Then she suddenly said another lady would take over. The second lady did better, but she also focused only on my back. My chest was starting to hurt from laying in the same position for so long, so I asked if they were going to massage my head, legs, and arms too since I paid for a FULL BODY massage M. I don't think she understood me because she only massaged my feet for a few minutes and then said, "That's it. Done." The timing was also misleading. They started touching me around 9:05 PM and finished at 9:55 PM !! not even a full hour. I was so frustrated that I just walked out. Then the first lady literally ran after me asking for a tip.
