In 2007 I was on a Zoom call and noticed I had eye bags. I knew they had grown over time but it wasn't until I saw myself on camera when they really stood out. Since then I was very self-conscious about them because they looked awful. I tried creams, tea bags, cold water compresses, etc. and nothing worked so I made a goal to have lower blepharoplasty done before the end of this year. Around August 2025, I was referred to a plastic surgeon by a friend. The doctor was reluctant to perform surgery on me for a couple of different reasons which I won't go into great detail. So without knowing anyone else, I found Dr. Wang and another Asian doctor via the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Since I am Asian, I was specifically looking for Asian doctors who had experience with this surgery on Asian males. I looked at his website, searched for any medical malpractice cases, lawsuits, was he board certified, etc. then scheduled an initial visit. Including Dr. Wang, I purposely visited with three doctor's for this surgery. During the visit with Dr. Wang, I asked about his facilities, the pre-op and post-op steps, aftercare support and follow-ups, shared with him my concerns (stemming from the visit with the first doctor), and a variety of additional questions. In fact, before the actual surgery date, I had two additional visits with him to talk over the initial concerns I had. Incidentally, there was no charge for these visits. Dr. Wang spent plenty of time with me during all three pre-op meetings and saw me pretty quickly meaning, once I stepped into the office for my appointment, I was seen by him in less than fifteen minutes. The surgery went smoothly and I'm very happy with the outcome. I've had four follow-up visits with him with a fifth one scheduled for February 2027. Dr. Wang and the Pasadena staff are so warm and friendly. Dr. wang answered all of my questions regarding the procedure and he and his staff were not pushy at all. I'm so glad that I went to him because I researched other plastic surgeons and I had such a great rapport with dr. Wang compared to other doctors. And another reason why I chose him was the cost of the procedure was cheaper compared to the plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills. I have waited many years to get Miradry done and couldn't bring myself to follow through with the procedure due to the fear. It started off with another Google search on the Miradry website. I came upon Dr Stewart Wang's office because he was one of the leading Platinum healthcare providers for this procedure. I filled out an online consultation form and they got it back to me within 24 hours with a phone call. After I set up a consultation appointment, I told myself that I was going to take the plunge and go through the procedure with Rita, Dr. Stewart's nurse practitioner. She was thorough in her consultation from beginning to end and gave me time to ask all my questions. Through the patient questions, what I was looking for was someone who would follow-up with me if I needed extra help. The vibe with Rita was just right for that and I personally asked that she perform the procedure on me. I had two weeks to think about my procedure appointment. Rita texted me the day before my appointment to make sure I didn't have any additional questions. On the day of the procedure, Rita helped my anxiety by letting me know it's normal to feel nervous for the numbing injection. I remember her gentle hands during the tumescent injection. After the numbing, the rest was easy! I felt nothing during the Miradry procedure, but a suction sensation on my skin. I bought a package for treatment . There is month by month for once but every time I schedule it but always get the call want me to change the schedule to another day??? This treatment should be better once a month, but every time They delayed for more than a month, I think my treatment effect is not good at all. My first treatment was in June and my second treatment was in December my third treatment should be in October but like usual I got the call want me to reschedule so it moved to November. I had the MiraDry procedure done 7 weeks ago, and I'm very happy with the results! My underarm sweat and odor has dramatically decreased...it is so minimal now that I've been just using aluminum-free deodorant, whereas before I had to use Clinical strength antiperspirant that would sometimes irritate my skin. I've had overactive sweat glands since adolescence, and now I feel more comfortable in my own body. I initially had a consultation appointment with Rita, and she patiently answered all of my questions. The day of the MiraDry procedure, I found the Pasadena office to be a very pleasant environment that helped me feel relaxed. It's attractively decorated, spacious, and very clean. Rita kept me at ease through the process, by doing her best to make sure I was comfortable. I enjoyed chatting with her, and streaming my favorite music to pass the time. Once the initial shallow injections to numb the area were done, I found the rest of the process was not a big deal. I was able to drive myself home. The most discomfort I experienced was after the numbness wore off that evening and night, but Ibuprofen helped. I first started going to the Upland location when I lived in the IE. The staff there was great and made you feel very comfortable. Once I moved to Long Beach I switched over to the Pasadena location since it was a little closer. The girls at the Pasadena office are also great. Always friendly and accommodating. I get filler done here and always book with Stephanie. I hate the overfilled look that seems to be trending now and Stephanie always leaves me looking natural and refreshed. I walk out of there looking like myself but 5 years younger. She's got a great eye and creates a nice balance to any slight asymmetry. Always honest about the results I should expect and never tries to oversell. Honestly, that is one of the best things about this office and the Upland location. They're never pushy.
