I had a scheduled appointment today 4/27/26 with Anjela as I booked online the week before. I checked in and waited and was met by another nurse. I was advised Angela does not work on Mondays. I drove far for my appointment only to be disappointed by not being able to get the services that I wanted. From start to finish, my experience at SkinFX was very pleasant. I went in for a facial and my esthetician, Ishmerai, provided a very professional and insightful consultation. I was worried about my acne, as it was getting worse and I couldn't figure out why. With Ishmerai's help, we were able to pinpoint where my issues were and how to correct them! It took some sessions, but that's exactly what you need. A couple of sessions, and consistency at home to make sure you are applying the products recommended. She explained it perfectly, "When you go to the dentist, they may fix some issues then and there. However, it is up to you to floss and brush your teeth to prevent your issues from resurfacing." I love hydrafacials so I know them very well. I have gotten them done at various places but moved to Pasadena and had been looking for a place and tried SkinFX because of their reviews. I came here and saw the esthetician and she had me lay down, didn't really do a quick consult. I had to tell her my areas of concern. She then went on and didn't adjust any of the settings as the cleaned my face. She put on a mask and left. At other places this is the time most estheticians give a light neck or scalp massage to make it worth the $250 dollars, not here. It was my first time getting Botox. Only one line in my brow decreased in appearance. All of my forehead lines and around my eyes and brow stayed exactly the same. I got around 30 units. I spent around $350. When I went back for a consultation and tiffan tried to get me to spend double. I lost $350 and she didn't care. Best service I have ever received! Anjela went above and beyond for me both times I had my lips filled and I would recommend her to anyone looking to get their lips enhanced. I have done a lot of research on lip injections/injectors and I decided to go with Anjela for my first lip filler because of how natural her lip injections look, how knowledgeable she is about filler, and just how passionate she is about her work. My first time I was pretty nervous, but she talked me through the procedure. I bruise really easily so when my lip turned white right after one of the injections, Anjela made the decision to play it safe and to dissolve the filler as she was nervous that the filler could be blocking an artery. She followed all the right precautions and told me to come back later to ensure that my lip was in perfect condition. (I've heard horror stories of people going home & waking up with a lip that was about to fall off because the injector didn't notice and let their client walk out with a botched lip - So I was pleased to know that it wouldn't happen to me). My lip was back to normal the next day. I was a bit hesitant to try to get filler again, but because Anjela handled me with such great care, I trusted her & went back a few months later. I have never been happier. My lips are perfection! I already had bigger lips to start with and wanted a little enhancement so that my top lip wouldn't disappear when I smile and my bottom lip had a little pout to it.
