I had an absolutely amazing experience with BTX Clinic. Everyone who I came in contact with was so incredibly nice and helpful. As someone who has never had Botox, I was curious to know how helpful it would be for my chronic TMJ that led to tension pain in my neck, headaches, and the migraines that felt never ending. Let me tell you, it's only been about a week -- I have felt minimal (if any at all) pain from my clenching, grinding, and just anxious chattering of my teeth. **I should have read the good AND the bad reviews** Not a fan, especially for a first time patient. My consultation felt cold, uninformative and overall rushed. From the start there was continued confusion about the service I wanted which felt careless and impersonal. Once that was clarified, I was informed that they take a "one size fits all approach" when it comes to said service, which seemed odd. Given that every face is different, especially as I was requesting a more conservative approach than their standard. ** Also he sat 4 feet away from me and never actually examined my lips, their shape, or my smile ** The consultation ended with the nurse practitioner agreeing to do slightly less, but still more than I wanted, which I agreed to, after he informed me that I would still have to pay the flat rate including for the unused units. At that point I just wanted to get the service I had been looking forward to.. I'm sure the service was preformed fine, this was earlier today so, too soon to see results. This was my second time getting Botox here, and I had a great experience both times. I unfortunately forgot the name of the NP who treated me during my first visit, but he did a stellar job. For my second visit, I had Heidi as my NP, and she was amazing! It has only been 4 days, but I can already see that she did exactly what was recommended. She actually suggested a few fewer units than I originally requested, and I really appreciated her expertise and honesty. I went in for a hyperhidrosis treatment in the axillary area and was treated by Ryan. I voiced my concerns about this being my first time having Botox and was scared of the needles/pain. He was very patient and showed me the gauge of the needle and reassured me that it shouldn't be too painful. I was given ice packs and barely felt any pain. Even on the first day, I think about 95% of sweating went away (and I sweat nonstop)! This has been such a big lifestyle change for me and I would recommend this place a lot. I came here months ago hoping my left under eye would look better but it still looks blue-ish in certain lighting and slightly raised/overfilled. I was referred to BTX by a friend who had a lovely experience for under eye filler, which is why I decided to go for it. I mentioned to the injector that I've never done undereye filler before so I just wanted to do half a syringe since my hollows were not that deep.. but he insisted that I needed a full one. To be honest, I was strongly considering my budget and my under eyes weren't very deep -- so I declined to do the full syringe. After some attempts to convince to still do the full syringe, he finally accepted that I just wanted half and said ok we could start with half and if I needed more, we could add more later. I said ok and I felt good about moving forward. He filled my right under eye and was beautifully done! I was shocked. The left under eye was just slightly deeper and this is the side that was overfilled. The undereye was visibly more puffy and swollen. I felt a bit concerned but the injector said I should expect normal bruising. He also said we basically used a full syringe this time but since it was my first time at their location, the extra filler was free of charge but that I should just go for the full syringe for my next appointment. -- In the end, I left their office feeling like the blue bruising would go down, and this extra filler was generous and even felt a little guilty for walking away with free filler. Months later, it still has a faint blue-ish tint and is visibly overfilled. I really feel that half the syringe would've been enough and reflecting back on my appointment, I think the injector used more filler than was necessary in order to be RIGHT about the full syringe. Ultimately, my request wasn't respected, he injected MORE than we agreed to and now I have an ugly overfilled left under eye. read more
