So glad that I found Jenny at Clear Skin Solutions!…read more I was struggling with acne and inflammation (lots of redness and white heads) when I first came in for my consultation in January. During the consultation, Jenny took the time to understand my skin concerns and my routine. Jenny provided thorough and personalized tips and education on diet, lifestyle, and skincare ingredients to help prevent breakouts and clear up my skin. I came in for an acne facial twice a month for 6 months, and with the help of diet, skincare, and regular facials, all of my acne cleared up in time for my wedding! The facials are very relaxing and the cost was super reasonable. Each session, Jenny not only provided excellent service but also made recommendations on products and skincare tips to help my skin get better over time and stay clear. She is so kind, gentle, and a joy to be around. My wedding makeup artist even noticed the huge improvement in my skin, which no longer required concealer to hide any blemishes on wedding day. From cleaning the face, to a gentle touch extraction, applying a hydrating and calming masks, using only top of the line products. My favorite add on's are the diamond glow, derma-planing and red light. Jenna efficiently provides these add ons for the best results within the facial time. I've had my share of experiences with estheticians and always thought they had to scrub the hell out of your face and poke and prod for an effective deep cleaning. I would end up leaving salons with a bright red face with matching marks from all the digging. On top of that, the redness would last for a couple of days! I was ecstatic when my mom found Christine! She uses all Wamiles products and I love all products recommended by her. I visit her once a month and always leave with a healthy glow and skin that feels amazing! Christine doesn't pressure you into purchasing products like many other salons often do. The price varies depending on your age and skin type. I pay $45 for an hour and a half. You also have to purchase a kit, which consists of the products she will use. The kit is roughly $100 and good for 10 visits. It may seem pricey, but it's definitely worth it and comparable if not cheaper than other salons I've been to. It even smelled amazing. Even the bathroom felt luxe and thoughtful, which says a lot about the care they put into the space. My esthetician was wonderful. The whole experience felt pampering and soothing, even the extractions (yes, you read that right!). My one teeny tiny wish is that I would have loved more explanation as she went along about the products and steps being used. I would have happily splurged on skincare to take home if I had known what was on my face. That said, my skin was absolutely glowing when I left. It felt refreshed, hydrated, and just happy. Dehydration is usually my main issue, and this facial hit the reset button. Other little details I appreciated were the super convenient parking structure across the street. That's always a plus especially in Old Town Pasadena. Bottom line: if you are into self-care and skincare, this is your spot. My skin looked glowy for the rest of the day, but I woke up to no discernible difference. Some turn-offs: -I could hear someone having a word-for-word, extremely loud conversation nearby the entire time -the neck/shoulder massage portion felt rough. I wasn't asked how the pressure felt once. -after the facial, I was immediately upsold to purchase skincare. I had to ask about the prices. I was also gently pressured to sign up for a monthly membership immediately, which is kind of wild for a first-time experience.
