I have been a patient at the Ibody for over 4 years. Dr. Tostado's approach has really changed my quality of life. I have done red light therapy. Then liver cleanse programs 2 times a year. I did the weight loss program and was successful in losing 30 lbs. Being in menopause with symptoms like hot flashes, fatigue, poor sleep quality, I recently tried their plant based hormone therapy and it has been a game changer. Hot flashes are essentially gone and if one comes it is so mild and infrequent, nothing like before. Sleep is great and energy level is excellent . This is true healing using non-synthetic solutions. I've been coming to The IBody for several years now. I came here by a recommendation from my chiropractor, who is also a patient here. The first thing that impressed me is of course Dr. Tostado. I love his story of how he transitioned from traditional sick care to regenerative medicine. If you have the opportunity to stop by and just grab his book and nothing else; you're definitely getting an education of what transpires for many MD's in our sick care system. I mostly come here for BHRT. The procedure is painless and really has changed my life. Overall mental health, physical health, sleep, you name it, overall better. Long over due review...:. As most I first was introduced to ibody via groupon/living social... I purchased their detoxification program and was looking to start living a healthier life. Dr and Mrs Tostado were great from the start! They both have a passion for what they do and a plus seem very family oriented which says a lot to me (on a personal note). They are always part of the process if you request and just genuinely care about our progress. I started off with the cleanse and lost 10lbs and felt so much better in life. Dr T was clear to explain this was not a diet and that I needed to change my lifestyle (eating/exercising) gave me some advice, shared some great books to read and was never about what he could sell me to have a quick weight loss fix. After the cleanse I was interested in the HCG protocol ... They gave me the pros and cons and I went through with it. I have done it 3 times now and lost over 60 lbs. sad part is I never noticed i had an extra 60 lBs on my body ( I thought I was pretty fly lol) 60 lbs lighter I feel healthier, less snoring, better sleep and I make better eating choices now. I have kept off a big amount of my weight. I did gain 6 lbs but its because I was eating all the delicious new treats at my job "Starbucks" and to top it off only eating one meal a day and no exercise Well I have finished my weight loss journey and everyone was always there for me Yes they have been through several receptionist but For the most part there was a good reason. All the staff is always friendly with the exception of one old receptionist that is gone that was not always so courteous. I did their detoxification program, which is essentially eating veggies, fruits, taking their food supplements and their detoxification powder made of plant-based solids and whey. The result for me: I literally shed weight, had enormous energy and had better sleep. I became more inspired and wrote 7 essays in two weeks. It has been the most productive I have ever been. My friends saw me and on their own wanted to sign up, I drove them to the place and they too enrolled. One lost weight, 13 pounds in three weeks; another lost 11 pounds in three weeks. I personally lost 9 pounds in three weeks. Average weight loss is 12 pounds in three weeks. Another one started last week and in one week, lost 8 pounds and she texted me, "Tita, I am so happy, I am so inspired and I feel so refreshed everyday." HCG Program. I signed up for their HCG program and after three weeks, I have a total loss of 22.2 pounds. I have two more weeks to go on the program. It has helped me not just shed weight, I have gone from extra large to medium size in shirts. I had to take in my clothes two inches on each side. But, I agree with some of the complaints on unprofessionalism, those do not however relate to the nurse practitioner nor the doctor, both husband and wife are professional, meticulous in giving care but the marketing person, who made lots of promises that were not substantiated, as he did not really know how to sell the program. To me, he was a disservice to the establishment, I would not have signed up if I listened to him. But, given the results I have had, I highly recommend it, it has been a positive experience. We have many reasons why we don't sign up, we are not ready. But, seeing the results on another friend, JN, I was convinced that I wanted the same results she experienced. I now have 10 more days to get done and I must say, it is a step in the right direction towards health and wellness. I also gained knowledge on how to monitor aches and pains in my body and I know right away that I am not supposed to eat red meats that result in inflammation for my body. So, every now and then when I have a craving, I have it once a month and a few pieces of steak satisfy my craving. But, now my groceries for this week: kale, green salad mix, arugula, tomatoes, chicken, fish, fuji apples, and persian cucumbers. Did I suffer - for the first few days when I was removing toxins in my body, I had headaches, I had pains in my joints, and after three days, they disappeared completley. I love this place! I came in for light therapy advertised on Groupon. As I waited, I noticed that they do weight loss programs too so I asked about it. They recommend a 3 week detox then a six week round of HCG assisted weight loss. I've lost 22 pounds and I've felt better than ever! He also checked my hormone levels and I'm taking supplements which adds the the great feeling. Surprisingly, the program is not difficult to follow. I'm in the maintenance phase right now, but after the holidays I plan to do one more round to drop maybe another 10 pounds. I actually am looking forward to it. Where do I even start?? This place has been a god sent! I come here pretty much for my facials, homeopathic herbs, cortisone injections, and recently had my first procedure with smart lipo....which was an absolute success! 1) I've suffered with PCOS for years that brought upon many hormonal imbalances. Medical doctors would prescribe me medications that would only mask the issue and I had no help with the underlying problem of my syndrome. Fortunately, Dr. Tostado put me on a special herbal tonic and to my disbelief, my hormones for the first time were completely balanced. I've always had irregular periods, and now I get a period every month! And have been for the past 7 months!!! Horrible place! The lady who was giving me the medicine had to read her notebook to answer my questions! They are very unprofessional. First, she said that it was just a detox program no to loose weight; then when I told her that on the website said that it will help to loose weight, she say yes it will help, but then she say no again. When one blind date asked for identification because she didn't believe my age, that was it, I needed urgent help, or a tall bridge with a target below. A friend quietly referred me to Biologica and I talked with a Dr. Tostado who I thought was trying to look like a Mexican rock star, before I found out he graduated from my alma mater Columbia University. What I really had to get used to was his double take dry gallows sense of humor--when was the last time a doctor made your belly ache from laughing at yourself? This place is a God send!! In need of an emergency cortisone injection/shot for my angry & huge acne cysts before a wedding, I was able to book a same day appointment on a Friday afternoon. The receptionist was very nice, honest & friendly over the phone & in person. Upon my arrival, I filled out new patient forms & saw Dr. Teresa Tostado NP almost immediately. Not only was she very knowledgeable, friendly and straight to the point, but she put my qualms at ease since this was my first time. I am pleased that they offer convenient hours Monday through Friday (9am-6pm) & Saturday (9am-2pm) for those who are working. Results of the emergency cortisone injection were successful. My huge acne cysts were noticeably less inflamed within a 12 hour period which would normally take about 1-2 weeks to flatten out or heal. 8 weeks ago I got a food intolerance ELISA blood test from Ibody. Ever since having my daughter, I was exhausted and the eczema I had since I was a teen was getting continually worse. First, I blamed it on new motherhood, then nursing, but as she became a toddler, I ran out of excuses. When Dr. Tostado explained the results to me, I was shocked to learn that I had in-tolerances to dairy, eggs, gluten and garlic. I never would have guessed all of those things without this test. I went here because I had a coupon from groupon first of all. When I came it they upsold me to the detox program, I wanted to try it. But then a couple of things happen that I wish I shouldn't of tried it. I have stomach issues first of all so I told them and the person did check with the Dr. He said it would be no problem, well after I started bleeding then they told me to check with my Dr. I think they should of told me in the beginning they didn't know would of been better. That is one of the problems but not the worst of all, ok so I signed up then they give you a bag full of pills and powder and give you a book and you pretty much go from there. Because after that no one ever told me which pill or so to take or follow up, only thing they tried to sell me to the HCG program. So I come in for my last session, did I tell you that anyone at the front desk gives you your shot. I learned the hard way, I come in and go to the back with the girl at the front desk. And she gives me the wrong shot!!!! Not sure why? How do I know, she is reading the chart and not sure if the chart was messy or if she didn't know how to read it but to me she didn't know which shot to give me cause she kept looking at the chart. So I come out after and this is how I know now she gave me a shot of the wrong thing, she comes back with a couple of syringes and bottles of HCG. I told her I was not doing that program and she looks at me puzzled. I leave and after a minute or so I get a call on my cell from a 626 number but I don't answer because I was driving and no message was left and to me it was weird. And now I wonder if the people at front desk are even qualified to give you the shot. Also after a couple days I got my woman visit and let me tell you I got the worst pain ever for a couple of days I had the worst Cramps I could not walk, the pain was bad. This place gives you very bad service unless you're paying for an expensive product on that date. I chose to delay one service that was pricey as I felt I did not need it yet so the doctor refused to upgrade my thyroid supplement unless I come in, in person even though I got new lab results showing my labs were very low. Even though he intentionally lowered them from the previous dose which was already keeping my levels too low. They absolutely try to force you to spend a lot more money than is necessary on each visit. I had been going to this place for close to a year and have had multiple bad experiences but I kept going because I needed the services. But they are currently trying to withhold giving me my proper thyroid dose to force me to come in for a pricey service which is very shameful and in poor taste. They do not care AT ALL about your well being unless they're getting a lot of money from you each time. So if you can find another place that does care you should avoid them. read more
