Ummm are we kidding. Amazing experience at alchemy tonight. Great live band! Lucas and Michelle made amazing drinks!!! The oysters were so delicious and perfect! Yum! Genuinely could not have asked for a better experience. We will be coming back that's for sure!!!

Chicken and waffles were crazy good
Linda G.

My son and I had a great meal here today. We got two apps and a salad. The Cobb salad was excellent. Dressing on the side the chicken that they serve on top of the cob is so tasty. It's worth it to get it for that alone. We also ate the Peking rolls, and they were very crispy and great tasting. The Asian ribs, were very tender, though I think the taste of them could be changed just a bit. The winner of the whole meal by far, was the chicken and waffles appetizer. My son had it as a meal and there was more than enough. The manager, Michael, heard us gushing about the chicken and waffles, and said he'd love to hear that so we chatted a bit. He explained that while they make the chicken in house which is fried yet very tender, the waffles they actually import from Belgium. Belgium? Well it was worth it for sure. Neither of us will ever order anything else and it's definitely enough for a meal. Paloma was our waiter and she was wonderful. Very attentive, friendly, yet didn't hover of course. Though it was an expensive lunch, we would definitely go back there. The people make it great and the atmosphere is excellent also. Kind of laid-back yet great for a work lunch, and the music isn't too loud. It doesn't hurt that I'm a deadhead. I love all of the serenitee restaurants. A couple I rate lower than others and one of my favorite is Calas in Manchester. Each one has its own vibe, so callas is very different, but equally exceptional. I was seated right next to a picture of Jerry, and right into a photo wall with a big picture of Jerry almost directly over my head.

Caramelized Onion Dip

We ended up her magically at $1 oyster hour which was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a dozen orders, a salad and a burger to share. We were seated immediately as there was really no one else in the restaurant at that time. Service was on point the entire time during our stay, and our server told us about the app where we get a free appetizer on our first visit. We ordered the onion dip with chips and it was so good! The restaurant started to fill up and looks like a wonderful place to come back to. We happened to be in the area shopping and I hope we make our way back to try this place again!

Alchemy burger with sweet potato fries

Stopped here for dinner after exploring in Salem all day as it was on our way home. Friendly staff and nice location. Dinner was good. Burger was cooked correctly and sweet potato fries were good! My friend liked her sushi roll and was happy they had the option of tofu as she's vegetarian.

Sticky Asian Pork Ribs

Stopped here for a quick lunch after shopping. There were lots of people sitting outside as it was a beautiful day. We decided to eat inside and split a couple of appetizers. We chose the chicken dumplings and Asian style ribs. The obscene very meaty and the sauce on the was really tasty too.

Poke bowl with salmon

My first time coming here and it was beyond amazing. The service was amazing, our server was so attentive. The atmosphere was great too. A chill and classy vibe. My poke bowl was amazing! I'll definitely be back!

Citrus salad (2/5 stars) pickles (5/5) and two drinks with menus that we did not ask to have remain on the table
Lily G.

Service is decent, but ambience is as if Bertucci's had grown up and become hipster. Food? Prices are steep and plates are small. Hit or miss if it tastes good. We got two drinks, pickles, and a citrus salad. Pickles: a 5/5 hit, would have been a 2/5 review if we hadn't ordered this. Copied directly from every other restaurant this place owns-- I remember eating them at Maggie's Farm a while back. Even better after the drinks. Drinks: Lychee tasted lake a lush bath bomb. My friend said windex. Peach thing is some take on a Bellini, pretty good in comparison to the other. Citrus salad: BITTER as anything. Avocado was the only thing saving this. Grapefruit was peeled but they left one giant seed in. Can't catch everything I guess, but my tooth did. They left the menus on the table too, fetched them 30 mins later and apologized. Wasn't an issue for us, would be a 3/5 even if they took it.

Anshita S.

Ate lunch here on my birthday. The food, service and ambiance is nice. Although pricey for the portion size and quality. Husband and I shared the Buffalo wings and fries. The wings were ok, nothing to write home about. The fries were delicious, thin and crispy, just how we like it. I had their salad and it was tasty. Husband had the steak which was cooked very well. The mashed potatoes it came with was sooo good! Overall a decent meal.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant in town, and the restaurant came highly recommended by a friend, and it absolutely delivered. The food completely blew me away. Every dish was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, which is even more impressive considering how new the restaurant is. I'm honestly still dreaming about this place and would eat here every night if I could. Not too busy late on a Sunday morning. Service/Food: I got the crispy French toast which was two thick cut slices with a very good berry compote. It was overall good but unfortunately they don't have real maple syrup. I had asked before ordering if they had real maple syrup and the server said yes, but when I was served it was the fake stuff. They were gracious in giving me extra berry compote as an alternative. Value: $46 for French toast, chicken + waffles, side home fries, and a coffee. Other: Good amount of parking available. Overall had a decent meal but as a French toast lover, I wouldn't go back for breakfast unless I bring my own maple syrup or they add it to their menu.

And we interacted with neighboring tables on both sides to recommend (when asked) the oysters, and when one received a drink with a big smoke bubble that created a magical flow of smoke when it burst. French inspired drinks and food were fantastic and interesting. The French 75 menu was so interesting-- choose your flavor and your bubbles. I tried two, the classic with rosé was so pretty, and the honey lavender with base level champagne was delicious. The raw oysters were to die for! Perfect little pop of acidity with other flavors delicately added and perfectly balanced. The oysters Rockefeller were also perfectly delicious. The foie gras is not something I would normally eat, but my boyfriend loves that stuff so we went with it. I enjoyed it more than he did. It was not a classic foie gras, it was smoother with a creamier texture and more buttery flavor. Eating it with the fig jam and "light as clouds" toast made it absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every minute and mouthful--would definitely seek this place out again even though I live an hour away! We enjoyed ourselves too much to take pictures!

The lychee martini was a little too sweet and the chai martini was too milky for my liking. There are a lot of interesting cocktails on the menu so I'd like to try something different next time. For food I ordered the Samosa Bliss and the iron pan (kadhai) hit with paneer and a side of garlic naan. The samosas were delicious: crispy on the outside and well-seasoned on the inside with a tangy sauce. The paneer was excellent in terms of portion size and texture. I would have preferred basmati rice with the entree instead of the yellow rice and more garlic on the naan, but overall it was a satisfying meal. There isn't a dessert menu but they have a case with a variety of Indian sweets. Service was very attentive and felt like you were eating at a family's home. Lots of nearby street parking. As with many older New England buildings, the entrance is a little tight and has a few steps so it may be difficult for some people to enter. I look forward to visiting again!

Every time we come to Ithaki, we are impressed with the quality and graciousness of the serving staff. I have mentioned many of them in previous reviews, and frankly I thought we had exhausted the best of them and were about to develop a "favorites" list. But this time we met a new 5-star server, Kris, whose sense of humor, timing of the meal, and attentiveness made us add him to the hall of fame. We shared a bottle of wine, a 2023 California (Lodi) Zinfandel "FREAKSHOW" by Michael David Winery. It was a steal at $35/bottle. My partner and I have found that Ithaki offers very good value on wines, both Greek and worldwide options. Their mark-up on wine is very reasonable, reminding us of the pricing in France. We opened with the Tuesday oyster special ($1 each up to 12 for a party of 2). They were exceptional: large and teeming with the flavor of the sea. For our main course, we split the tenderloin of beef, a special with truffled mashed potatoes, pickled onions, fiddlehead greens, and crispy mushrooms. The split was generous enough that we were both satisfied and then allowed ourselves not one, but two desserts: Ekmek and Chocolate Mousse Cake - both delicious.
