Came here for Nik's birthday and we got the golden honey boneless spare ribs and grand sushi and sashimi platter to share between 3 adults. It was very grand and decadent. The spare ribs were tasty and I think they had some truffle oil. The sushi and sashimi was very fresh. The chefs provided 3-6 pieces of sashimi/sushi/nigiri of each type of fish so we could do our own tasty menu together. Our sushi boat came with the seared hamachi make + caviar roll which was really good. I would definitly order that again. The prices can be expensive, but the sushi is fresh and worth it for special occassions! read more

I was greeted with a smile. I sat at the bar. I enjoyed the volcano roll, although it wasn't the size I'm used to. It was very good. Potstickers were great. Beautiful decor. read more

I come here every other month, it's so good!! It's a nice suburban restaurant that is beautiful inside. Yesterday the food came out at a good pace, but sometimes it comes out all at once and is overwhelming. The waiters are always so nice. Food: - hot and sour soup (8.5/10): great starter. the wonton chips on top were such a good addition. - lettuce wraps (8.5/10) - spicy edamame (9/10): can't go wrong - pork potstickers (9/10: i love the seasoning on these. - yellowtail thai basil spoons (10/10): my favorite thing on the menu, we always get 2 to start and 2 to end they are amazing. spicy, and so much flavor. - duck bao (4/10): i personally did not like the flavor of these so will skip next time. - crispy chicken wings (10/10): my favorite chicken wings! love the flavor. spicy - spicy tuna crispy rice (9/10): a must order as well!! love the presentation - seared hamachi and banana pepper (9/10): the fish is so fresh and the sauce is flavorful. - tuna pizza (7/10): these are good! i think there's too much going on for me but a lot of people love them so worth a try. - tuna taco (8.5/10): i like these more than the tuna pizza!! - salmon and fingerling potato (8.5/10) - black pepper udon noodles (8.5/10) read more

Expensive. Small portions. But, oh boy , they are creative with their food and drinks ! Service was very fast ( although they were busy) and everyone was super nice! Drinks are super creative and flavorful... and strong :) Boneless spareribs were tender and smoky ( more flavorful than an average dish of spareribs) , duck pie tee --- nice little appetizer for those who like duck-- presentation is five stars. I loved their sashimi : definitely fresh , beautifully served, and they have some uncommon choices. Special rolls were very fresh and nicely crafted . In fact food items we tried or saw on other tables mostly looked like pieces of art:) Atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. We will definitely go back . read more

Looking for creative sushi dishes and cocktails? This is place to be! Yes it's a chain, but the vibe doesn't feel like one. Attentive staff, who are happy to engage in conversation and walk you through their fav dishes on the menu. Perfect weekend spot for dinner to unwind and have a good time read more

Excellent dining experience - delicious food, fantastic drinks. Wouldn't say this is the best place for little kids but it can work. The ambience gives more date night but a family dinner can work. Food is served family style and is top quality. We had the scallion pancakes, fried rice (pork), mango chicken, and chicken pad Thai. If tou have a shellfish allergy, beware because many of the dishes have some sort of shellfish related sauce - be sure to ask (we did!). read more

Several of us had dinner outside at Karma on a beautiful summer evening. The ambiance was superb and the service very good. Our waitress was very attentive and focused on our orders. All of the various dishes we ordered and shared were very good. Fresh salmon on rice, scallion pancakes, calamari, pad Thai and spring rolls. Everything was prepared very well. The only negative criticism is that it is expensive. To make the bill more digestible I recommend avoid the pricey drinks. read more

Was so excited for the opening and was not disappointed. The Winchester location was my first visit to Karma and the ambience is modern and inviting. Menu is pretty expensive and while they offer excellent sushi they also offer many other dishes including the peking duck which is a must try. Prices are on the higher end but sushi was also of higher quality. We even received a complimentary sushi plate which was a nice surprise. Great spor for a date night or celebrating a special occassion. read more

Fantastic dining experience. Exceeded expectations. At least for the sushi-oriented parts of the menu. Didn't do anything else. Awesome rolls. Super expensive--but you get what you pay for. I'd go back again if I'm ever in town. read more

Food and wait service was fine. That's not the reason for my review. We entered the restaurant 5 minutes before our reservation on this past Saturday night. The hostess asked us if our whole party was there and we indicated they were parking their car. We were then told we could sit now or wait until they arrived but if we sat down at our table "the clock would start" (she actually said that) Yes, we read about the 90 min. table time when we made the reservation but giving us a "warning" ? Like the countdown had begun! Not a great way to start. The entire experience from that point on felt rushed. 3 of us were not drinking alcohol so therefore we were never asked if we wanted another drink of choice after the first one. The person drinking alcohol was certainly made sure he had full glasses. Food was good but we had to ask the waitress and staff to take the empty plates and glasses more than once in order to accommodate the additional courses. (which were coming out one after the other, because, you know, we had to hurry) I will add during the entire meal I noticed at least half the bar was empty and several tables around us remained empty or customers left with no new customers coming in. We finished with 3 minutes to spare!!! Wow, lucky us. This did not feel like a place that wanted to showcase their food and service and be accommodating but more like, just eat, pay, leave. Too many good restaurants around so we will try someplace that actually makes a customer feel welcome. read more

Food was good and the waitress was great! The reason I am writing a review is because right as dinner was served a RAT ran across our feet at our table. We informed the manager of the restaurant and when I say they said nothing to us regarding it. They looked at the rat, and kept doing what they were doing. No acknowledgement what so ever. Gross. read more

I'm glad that Karma opened in this area. It was needed. My husband and I went there twice already since we live 10 min away. At first we sat downstairs and we were given a nice table during later weekend evening. The waitress was fantastic. She knew how to explain and sell food and rinks. I was not disappointed. The next time we came for a business dinner and again I was happy with food and drinks. We sat upstairs in a booth and spent 2 hours there. The only downside is that this place is not cheap. read more

The restaurant occupies a nice space and helps damper the 'restaurant chain' feel. The food was also pretty good and arrived REALLY fast. Perhaps It felt a little rushed as the manager tried to put all our dishes on the table at the same time. I guess that was to be expected given that the hostess greeted us at the door and then informed us that our dinning limit was 90 minutes! I would give this place a second try - hopefully the service will improve. read more

So the food was good to start off... however the service felt rushed both times we've been here. Tonight may be the last time we come after giving it two tries and 400$ later. We had the server come by like 3 times in 5 mins trying to clear our table while we're still eating. We order another drink so they stop bugging us and they bring the check right after we got it. Last time we came they kept asking us if we're finished and we spent a total of 34 mins in the restaurant. Ridiculous. read more

Service was very attentive. They just opened 4 days ago so they are on best behavior. Sushi chef sent me an amuse boche sushi as a welcome. The manager reached out to me personally regarding my experience and was genuinely interested in understanding what happened and making things right. Everything was absolutely fantastic at Karma! I went here during their soft opening but the staff were quite knowledgeable and food came out perfect; you'd think they've been operating for a long time. This proves their commitment to upholding the highest standard in their staff and the food / drinks they serve. I've never had raw food before but their menu items look so good that I finally gave in. I truly enjoyed the otoro and caviar, uni with salmon roe on oyster, and the duck tie. The drinks were fun also! The atmosphere immediately slips you into a euphoric stage. Don't miss out! Try this! read more

Simply, the sushi is mediocre and the prices are too high in exchange. $23 for general Chao chicken, it was low quality chicken/sauce and didn't even come with rice. Seriously? Try the sushi and sashimi and you'll the see that the actual fish is low grade. Once they jazz it up with sauces and sprinkles it's hard to know. The vibe is good the staff well trained. I respect that. I do think they are making short sighted business decisions about food quality and about not including (senselessly) white rice with their premium priced entrees. read more

Went for Valentine's Day, arrived late due to traffic but they were still able to seat us upstairs at the bar area. Howie is a great bartender! He definitely has skill in mixology. He was attentive and welcoming. Service was spectacular! Food was out of this world! Mind blowing! everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered the duck baos- saucy and flavorful! Kumamoto oysters- smaller than the pics BUT it was very fresh, probably one of the freshest oyster uni combo I've had! Wagyu on fire was my favorite roll, show stopping since they light the coffee beans infront of you. The wagyu was melting in my mouth!!! Seared hamachi and paradise roll were great as well! Drinks were cute and certainly did the job well. This maybe the best restraunt experience I've had and is now my favorite place!!! I will be coming back for sure! read more

What a delight! Loved the ambiance of the place. I didn't see what the second floor looked like, but if it was anything like the bottom floor then it was sophisticated and elegant. The drinks were strong and the food was delicious. I would've appreciated a larger portion of the "must-try" chicken. Overall, I loved my experience here and look forward to coming back. read more

I like the way they roll here There is a lot to love at Karma but I especially love the sushi here (with all my heart & stomach). The specialty rolls here are phenomenal. The Kale a Licious is a must get/try- you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how well all the ingredients go together! Some other personal favorite makis are the Volcano Maki, the Spider Maki, the Negi-Hama (Yellowtail) Maki and the Seared Hamachi Maki with Caviar. In addition to beautiful rolls, the fish quality has consistently topped most other sushi spots I've been to. It is truly the best of both worlds here at Karma because you have amazing sushi to order from and then you have lots of delicious Asian dishes to order from the kitchen too. I know there are some OG Chinese chefs in the back just by the taste- the wok hei taste is strong in the kitchen dishes and I love it! There is no doubt these chefs are legit!! The chicken wings wok tossed in salt and jalapenos are addicting af (they also give a good amount of wings too). The Mongolian beef served on a sizzling plate is also a solid item. If you're feeling fancy I suggest ordering the whole Peking duck. The duck is crispy and comes with the classic wraps with cucumbers, XO sauce and scallions. There are also a few items on the menu that differ from the other locations. I usually frequent the Burlington location and I haven't seen the truffle xiao long baos (soup dumplings) there! The decor here is stunning and modern. Given it is the newer location everything feels clean and the ventilation is great (it can get toasty sometimes though when they are packed). Compared to the Burlington location, the Winchester location gives off a less in-your-face Asian vibe. No imperial gates here and red color throughout but moody, elegant dim lights with darker woods. Most patrons here aren't too dressy (I've dined in a hoodie here & had great service and no judgment)! For larger parties, I would not recommend the Winchester location simply because it isn't a big space. On Sundays, the dining space gets even smaller as they close down the upstairs area. I learned this the hard way by trying to plan a 15 person dinner party only to be told that there was no way they could accommodate a party my size. The manager, Hope, repeatedly told me that they wouldn't be able to do it and the max they could fit together in an area would be 10 people. She informed me that if I insisted on having a 15 person party I would have to split my party up into 3 tables of 5 and that one table would have to be in another room all together. I wasn't so thrilled to hear that. Thankfully my party ended up being only 11 and we were all able to be seated together in tables along the sushi bar. It was a stressful two weeks of calling Karma to discuss the table arrangement but it worked out in the end. Overall though Karma is great and I can't stop raving about them to my friends and family. The Winchester location is def my go-to spot! read more

Gave karma a second chance today for lunch and ordered a whole Peking duck with the black pepper udon. In terms of taste, everything was great. However, we couldn't finish the duck and asked for it to go. When I went to open the takeout box for dinner, I realized they didn't give me any of the accompaniments (hoisin sauce, sliced cucumbers or scallions. There was plenty left at the table when I asked for it to be wrapped up and I would expect that if these came w the dish they would also be included w my leftovers. Makes no sense to me that they threw these out and left me the duck all by itself-how frustrating. This waiter needs to be retrained...in all my years of eating Peking Duck (and trust me I've had plenty) I've never not received the fixings. read more

So let me start by saying we were a party of 6 on Valentines day, the food was good, the service was just ok, the server had to be about 17 or 18 years old, new nothing about the menu, had to keep leaving to find the answer's, which was pretty annoying, so we had our dinner, and was about to order some desert, when the manager came over and told us we only had 20 minutes to finish our food and leave, that they had a 2 hour limit, on dinners. BUT could you imagine telling the customers to finish up and leave needless to say we were so embarrassed. not to mention the bill was over $300, they must be doing pretty good to take a chance with a rule like that. and with this being said we will not be returning to Karma in Winchester ma. read more

I would go here again... food good, atmosphere pretty. The service...whoa like wow bad and slow and well not good...prices are high, fine what it is and you know what you're getting (like sushi rolls around 22 or so), apps around the same, again fine IF service ok. It was slow and quiet and 4 people total at bar... drinks approx 10 min in, just weird and slow service, bad service combined w high prices (again this would be fine with solid service) thats really it...so not a great review. Rolls were great but yeah thats the deal not rushing back, if someone else requested yo meet there because they really wanted to go, fine but otherwise not returning anytime soon.
