The spare ribs were tasty and I think they had some truffle oil. The sushi and sashimi was very fresh. The chefs provided 3-6 pieces of sashimi/sushi/nigiri of each type of fish so we could do our own tasty menu together. Our sushi boat came with the seared hamachi make + caviar roll which was really good. I would definitly order that again. Food and wait service was fine. That's not the reason for my review. We entered the restaurant 5 minutes before our reservation on this past Saturday night. The hostess asked us if our whole party was there and we indicated they were parking their car. We were then told we could sit now or wait until they arrived but if we sat down at our table "the clock would start" (she actually said that) Yes, we read about the 90 min. table time when we made the reservation but giving us a "warning" ? Like the countdown had begun! Not a great way to start. The entire experience from that point on felt rushed. 3 of us were not drinking alcohol so therefore we were never asked if we wanted another drink of choice after the first one. The person drinking alcohol was certainly made sure he had full glasses. Food was good but we had to ask the waitress and staff to take the empty plates and glasses more than once in order to accommodate the additional courses. (which were coming out one after the other, because, you know, we had to hurry) I will add during the entire meal I noticed at least half the bar was empty and several tables around us remained empty or customers left with no new customers coming in. We finished with 3 minutes to spare!!! Wow, lucky us. This did not feel like a place that wanted to showcase their food and service and be accommodating but more like, just eat, pay, leave. Several of us had dinner outside at Karma on a beautiful summer evening. The ambiance was superb and the service very good. Our waitress was very attentive and focused on our orders. All of the various dishes we ordered and shared were very good. Fresh salmon on rice, scallion pancakes, calamari, pad Thai and spring rolls. Everything was prepared very well. The only negative criticism is that it is expensive. To make the bill more digestible I recommend avoid the pricey drinks. read more

Was so excited for the opening and was not disappointed. The Winchester location was my first visit to Karma and the ambience is modern and inviting. Menu is pretty expensive and while they offer excellent sushi they also offer many other dishes including the peking duck which is a must try. Prices are on the higher end but sushi was also of higher quality. We even received a complimentary sushi plate which was a nice surprise. So the food was good to start off... however the service felt rushed both times we've been here. Tonight may be the last time we come after giving it two tries and 400$ later. Simply, the sushi is mediocre and the prices are too high in exchange. $23 for general Chao chicken, it was low quality chicken/sauce and didn't even come with rice. Seriously? I like the way they roll here There is a lot to love at Karma but I especially love the sushi here (with all my heart & stomach). The specialty rolls here are phenomenal. The Kale a Licious is a must get/try- you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how well all the ingredients go together! Some other personal favorite makis are the Volcano Maki, the Spider Maki, the Negi-Hama (Yellowtail) Maki and the Seared Hamachi Maki with Caviar. In addition to beautiful rolls, the fish quality has consistently topped most other sushi spots I've been to. It is truly the best of both worlds here at Karma because you have amazing sushi to order from and then you have lots of delicious Asian dishes to order from the kitchen too. I know there are some OG Chinese chefs in the back just by the taste- the wok hei taste is strong in the kitchen dishes and I love it! There is no doubt these chefs are legit!! The chicken wings wok tossed in salt and jalapenos are addicting af (they also give a good amount of wings too). The Mongolian beef served on a sizzling plate is also a solid item. If you're feeling fancy I suggest ordering the whole Peking duck. The duck is crispy and comes with the classic wraps with cucumbers, XO sauce and scallions. There are also a few items on the menu that differ from the other locations. I usually frequent the Burlington location and I haven't seen the truffle xiao long baos (soup dumplings) there! The decor here is stunning and modern. Given it is the newer location everything feels clean and the ventilation is great (it can get toasty sometimes though when they are packed). Compared to the Burlington location, the Winchester location gives off a less in-your-face Asian vibe. No imperial gates here and red color throughout but moody, elegant dim lights with darker woods. Most patrons here aren't too dressy (I've dined in a hoodie here & had great service and no judgment)! For larger parties, I would not recommend the Winchester location simply because it isn't a big space. On Sundays, the dining space gets even smaller as they close down the upstairs area. I learned this the hard way by trying to plan a 15 person dinner party only to be told that there was no way they could accommodate a party my size. The manager, Hope, repeatedly told me that they wouldn't be able to do it and the max they could fit together in an area would be 10 people. She informed me that if I insisted on having a 15 person party I would have to split my party up into 3 tables of 5 and that one table would have to be in another room all together. I wasn't so thrilled to hear that. Thankfully my party ended up being only 11 and we were all able to be seated together in tables along the sushi bar. It was a stressful two weeks of calling Karma to discuss the table arrangement but it worked out in the end. Overall though Karma is great and I can't stop raving about them to my friends and family. Gave karma a second chance today for lunch and ordered a whole Peking duck with the black pepper udon. In terms of taste, everything was great. However, we couldn't finish the duck and asked for it to go. When I went to open the takeout box for dinner, I realized they didn't give me any of the accompaniments (hoisin sauce, sliced cucumbers or scallions. There was plenty left at the table when I asked for it to be wrapped up and I would expect that if these came w the dish they would also be included w my leftovers. Makes no sense to me that they threw these out and left me the duck all by itself-how frustrating. So let me start by saying we were a party of 6 on Valentines day, the food was good, the service was just ok, the server had to be about 17 or 18 years old, new nothing about the menu, had to keep leaving to find the answer's, which was pretty annoying, so we had our dinner, and was about to order some desert, when the manager came over and told us we only had 20 minutes to finish our food and leave, that they had a 2 hour limit, on dinners.
