Stopped for dinner with my mom back in November. I am one who always loves to try a little of everything - and there were so many good options. We got: Baked Goat Cheese, Roasted Delicata Kale Salad, and the Fig + Mascarpone Ravioli. Oh my god. The ravioli. everything was divine. We sat at the bar and service was amazing. Drinks were delicious. Just beware of the dance class upstairs only negative was I think they tried to play the music louder to cover the sound of the stomping. As I reviewed 15 Walnut before... they have great food. It's fresh, healthy, and prepared from scratch. Unfortunately, it's also REALLY expensive. Lunch for two can easily set you back $100 or more and that's ridiculous. Part of the problem is they are paying rent to the guy who owns their location and he is... not a good person, and that makes everything stupidly expensive. I've brought this up with their ownership and nothing has changed. The ambiance is.... Meh. The tables near the kitchen door are packed in tight and the booths in the front are tight as well, though not as bad. The upside really is the quality of the food. It just smells *So* good that it is refreshing. If you're a 1%-er and you want lunch (or dinner) you could do a whole lot worse. read more

Not sure what's happened here. This used to be a place that provided consistent meals in a casual pub atmosphere. Drink menu is bizarre and barely tolerable. Appetizer arrived with only half the ingredients. Then my husband's meal arrived and my order was not ordered. His food got cold waiting so eventually we ate separately. We understand mistakes are made but no explanation. No dessert offered for the error. Of course dinner for 2 was over $100. Very poor experience. We won't be back. read more

Gang what's happening? Summer 2026 the menu got weird the food got weird. Burger changed and tastes off. Fries too crunchy. Nachos had a severe lack of cheese. Tacos bland. Favorites gone. Sushi rolls and other faves eliminated. Only thing worse is the new hale street menu. Time to check in on it all before you lose all your long time customers. In for lunch on a not too busy Thursday. Indoor and outdoor seating, big wrap around bar. Cute sort of rustic interior but a little dark inside. Nice booth seating. Very good service and accommodating. I ordered the salmon BLT and was able to swap fresh tuna for the salmon. Nice sandwich and very good fries- crisp and hot. Overall a nice choice. Located in a strip mall, parking is relatively easy. read more

Hello everyone, the number one food critic from the class of 2031 is back. First up atmosphere, very nice, good music, good seating, and some fun decoration. Next up food, my personal opinion on it was slightly above average, the presentation was nice the taste just didn't deliver how you would wish. Last and least the service even though there were 0 gingers spotted in the restaurant ( which is a great sign +1 star) , i was not impressed took a while for drinks and food to come out there was maybe one check in. I would over all not recommend 15 walnut. read more

Well, I generally like this place but last weekend again it was disappointing. Fried calamari were lukewarm and not crispy at all. Disaster. Naan Fish Taco: A fried fish stick in a lukewarm piece of naan, it could not have been more boring. Garden salad was good. read more

this place has really gone downhill. at one time it had a great atmosphere and delicious food.now the place is dated and the food (overpriced) is average. most of the staff are very nice but some are sloppy. tonight there's a woman server with a stained, oversized tshirt. it's quite unappetizing. Last night my friend and I went to the bar for dollar oyster night. She was there weeks before but they sold out quickly and didn't get any. We ordered two dozen and they were served on lettuce, not ice. I'd never seen anything like that and thought, I'd better eat these quick. They were very dirty, with three full of sand and shell bits. Several were not detached. They ALL were limp and sad, no brine, no plump cold center, no sea flavor. It almost seemed like they were pre-shucked or something, but that's probably because they were not on ice. I don't think I've ever had worse oysters. They were barely edible, but we ate them all (except my friend spit one of hers out). I just knew they could not fix this, so we just wanted to make our exit. The server did come and ask how the oysters were and I opted to say fine vs sending them all back. My beer was fine and her cocktail was fine. Our server was very nice, but it took ages to get our check and get out of there because none of the many employees standing around could cash us out. I left to get a pair of bar seats at Post down the street, while she stayed to figure out how to pay. NOTE: there is a dance studio or something above them, with lots of loud stomping directly above you when seated on the far end of the bar. I'm 50/50 about our visit. It had a great feel to it, nice seating, less the dance class that sounded like it was in the ceiling above us. Our server was excellent, she was attentive and kind. The menu had a good mix and we were happy with our food.....BUT the big fail was on the drinks. I will start by saying I had wine, and you can't really mess that up. My husband, ALWAYS orders the same drink at all restaurants, I stress this because you cannot pull one over on him. He ordered his extra dry martini with olives. The first one is perfect, he orders another, this time it's 1/2 water...he passes it to me to taste and I agree. Our server comes by and we only tell her there is something wrong with the drink, it's off....Unfortunately, as a former bartender myself but one who has never done this....if you tell a bartender the drink is watery you can end up with a revenge drink on your hands....shady but sad and true. We honestly think the bartender knew exactly why it went back. Well----she made another one and we paused our conversation due to the intense shaking, I had my back to the bar and even turned around...she walked around the bar just shaking and shaking this thing...If you are unaware of this technique, it's producing a VERY watery drink the more you shake. Whelp, as assumed this one was blatantly more water than anything. The manager was called over because this was the rudest approach. He said she was new, but this is no excuse. He was kind enough to make one himself, but by now the experience was tainted. They did comp the drink (as they should) and even tossed in a dessert. This is why I am 50/50...They seem to want to mean well, but now we don't feel comfortable going back....at least not for a while. We don't get many nights out so when we do we want to be happy with the whole experience. read more

Service for 5 was very good. We all had a light lunch, and drinks. Everyone seemed pleased. Birthday tiramisu was outstanding. I was extremely disappointed in my poke bowl. It was basically a bowl of sticky rice with a minimal amt of edamame, grated carrots, and unripe fruit. Sauce was all in garnished greens, which I removed. We enjoyed our dinner before seeing a show at North Shore Music Theater. We had a cozy table off to the side where it was quiet and relaxing. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The food we ordered was delicious. We ordered the mussels, which were so good, but we didn't realize they were spicy! They were well enjoyed though:) The zucchini sticks were crunchy and yummy. We each got a salad that was fresh and plentiful. We enjoyed a glass of wine, as well as a specialty cocktail, which was so good we ordered another! I had been here a few years ago and wasn't that happy with it. BUT we went back the other day and the meal was delicious. Fish and chips was a teensy bit overcooked but was still really good. The 15 walnut salad is incredible. So many walnuts and crans. The drinks were very well prepared by their very nice and friendly barstaff. Visited on a weekday night. As usual the food was excellent. I had the blackened salmon sandwich with Charred brussel sprouts instead of fries and the better half had steak tips. As locals 15 Walnut has been our go-to choice for years. We have always enjoyed the quality of food and the attentive service, though prices are a tad high, even for Hamilton. However, we recently called to make a reservation for our favorite table and were informed they are no longer taking them and to go on Yelp and sign in for a wait list. This was communicated to us in a very curt perfunctory manner. No "sorry" this is the new regime, or "we still want you to come in", just a "go away" attitude. We opted to dine elsewhere that evening and will probably not return as we feel this policy is not customer oriented. If you ask regulars at any restaurant, everyone has their favorite table. But, this personal choice no longer exists here. Although we have points on our SERENITEE reward cards, we will redeem them elsewhere like Hale Street or Calas where the staff are usually more diplomatic with clientele. Goodbye. read more

Pretty awful all around. We waited 15 minutes for waitress to greet us and give us water. 30 minutes in, we finally get our first drink after my boyfriend has to go up to the bar and ask for it. Watched as waitress just chatted with friends doing nothing. No apologies, no omg I'm sorry it took so long, it's been crazy. Nothing. We ended up moving to the bar area where at least the bartender was nice, friendly and attentive. And apologetic, and tried his best to make it up to us. We were finally asked what we wanted for dinner, I ordered a Valentine's Day special of filet. Holy **** was that the worst filet I ever had in my entire life. I asked for medium rare, it came back some well done it looked like pot roast. Had to get it redone (and so did another patron who ordered it medium rare and it came back well done) and even the second time it wasn't great either but I just dealt. Bad piece of meat maybe. Boyfriend's chowder was luke warm. Probably worst experience at the Serenitee Restaurant yet, and we thought it would be nice. Honestly awful service from that waitress, but maybe she knew how awful the food was so she stopped caring. read more

Stopped in last night because I saw they had Maine Brewing "Dinner" on tap. The place was pretty busy, and I grabbed one of last bar seats. I can't say enough about how attentive the staff was, and they were super friendly. Shout out to the bartender Sammy. I was genuinely shocked that despite how busy they were my food came out pretty quickly. The manager Siobhan stopped by to make sure the temperature of my meat was to my liking, and stopped by when I was finished. Again the staff was fantastic. I'm not generally in this area, and this little tavern more than exceeded my expectations. On a separate note. To the guy down the bar that continued to talk to the couple on a date... buddy they didn't ask you out to dinner they simply sat next to you. Read social queues, and leave people be. I hope they didn't leave a bad review because they were too polite to tell you off. Definitely check this place out food and staff left such a great impression that it got me to write something on their behalf!! read more

We stumbled upon this place by accident and I'm saddened that we haven't done so sooner. We have been back about four or five times now, and each time the food, drinks and service were excellent. I try to pick something different each time and they manage to get it right, no matter what I order. My husband prefers to stick to staples, such as burgers and steak tips, but he was very pleased with the flavor and presentation of both. Overall this place is too expensive and has a bizarre menu. We rarely go there but tonight we were looking for a place to have a couple drinks and a snack. We selected the nachos; then I made my mistake. I wanted a protein but they only offered pulled pork and chicken. I asked if it was possible to have a burger grilled, chopped, and put on the nachos. The waiter said he would check. He never returned except to ask if we wanted another drink. When he brought the food, he brought a plate of nachos and a plate with a hamburger patty and French fries. He explained that they said I had to buy a hamburger ($14.00). Why didn't he tell me that before placing the order? As for the food, the nachos were little more than warm corn chips - very, very little cheese or salsa. The hamburger patty was too rare, soggy, and salty. The French fries were cold and salty. Luckily I didn't want the fries to begin with. Almost $80 for a snack? I don't think so. We rarely go to this place but occasionally give it another try: but, "Nevermore ," quoth the raven, "Nevermore." The only reason this place is in business is the lack of alternatives in the area. From the service which was apathetic (not busy, plenty of staff in the restaurant, they just didn't care--more interested in congregating at the bar and watching tv apparently) to the food which was lackluster and poorly executed, it was a terrible dining experience all around. Went on Thursday July 9th for a relatives birthday. We sat inside because it was so hot, but it wasn't very cool inside. The AC wasn't working well. The waitstaff and bartenders were all wearing masks, but the 3 people I could see in the kitchen prep area DID NOT have masks on. I declined to order any food. During the time we sat there, the older gentleman in the kitchen area pulled off his mask, wiped the sweat off his face with a towel (all the while I was saying to myself-wash your hands) then pulled the mask up and continued working. read more

We love 15 Walnut! Have been dining there for years. The restaurant is employee-owned, and food ingredients are locally sourced when possible, including several local beers and brews. Sitting at the bar is really fun and Liam is a stellar bartender who knows his stuff. Dining seating includes booths (great for families) and hi- and low-top tables with upholstery and rugs that are cozy and comfortable. Wait staff is attentive, and manager Catie is efficient and kind. The food is stand-out yummy: we order the bolognese, pulled pork sandwich, fried chicken sandwich (oh my gosh!), mac & cheese and any of the asian selections often, but haven't found anything that wasn't great (did I mention the fries??). Several vegetarian and vegan options, too. And in this post-COVID era, we find their take-out easy to order, carefully provided, and ready for pick-up in 30 minutes or less. We recommend! read more

I have wanted to try this place for a while so we were really excited to go. Had a 6pm reservation. They seated us pretty quickly and a pretty crappy table. Two large leather chairs that are too big for the table so you feel like you are sitting at a kids table. Which on its own was annoying but add that it's right near the door and cold breeze, not great. The waiter brought us drinks and apps and then seemed to avoid coming back. I had to call him over after we got our apps to put in our entree order. We got the hush puppies which were good. And the hummus, which was not. I've never had hummus that was the consistency of glue. We each ordered steak. Him the steak tips which he said was good. I had the steak with chimmicurri sauce. Which was essentially one steak tip with cold blended sauce. The sauce was so cold it also had a glue like texture. Unfortunately I was so hungry at this point I scraped it off and ate the steak which I was happy to see was cooked perfectly. One star for the steak and 1 star for seating us quickly.
