While visiting from out of town, I needed to find a grocery store for some basic provisions and toiletries for my travel companions, I stopped by Albertsons. It was the first week of July and the produce was beautifully displayed and very fresh. The store was big enough to have everything I was looking for-and more-but not big enough to get lost in. With that said, I was having trouble finding a specific over the counter pharmacy item. I quickly found an employee who was able to guide me to the aisle I needed without any delay. Check out was fast, and coffee at the inside starbucks had no wait either. Prices were a bit high, but I suspect that's just a sign of the times. I found this location very convenient, clean, and easy to get to. There are several other choices within driving distance, but I expect I'll be back. read more

My daughter in Florida had ordered some flowers through 1-800 flowers and I guess 1-800 flowers decided to use Albertsons and not a legitimate flower shop. I did a video call to my daughter and lets say she was NOT HAPPY with what was delivered to me. She had chosen a $120.00 floral arrangement with a little more than half a dozen roses mixed with some other flowers. While on the call with her she is crying because the flowers that were delivered were NOT $120.00 worth of flowers and were NOT in the best of shape and out of the more than half of dozen roses that were in the bouquet she ordered, there were only 2 in my bouquet. Albertson's I know that you are one of the most expensive grocery stores in the Phoenix metropolitan area but come on, your floral department needs A LOT OF WORK! I went to the Albertsons in Desert Ridge today (Saturday, April 4 around 2:30 PM) and decided to grab a coffee from the Starbucks inside. I go there often, and the staff is usually amazing--always friendly and welcoming. Today was completely different. The woman working there (I hadn't seen her before) was incredibly rude and condescending. She spoke to the customer in front of me the same way, so it wasn't just a one-off interaction. I even told her, politely, that when you work with people, kindness matters. Unfortunately, her attitude didn't change. For me, this is the absolute best Albertsons in the area. If you don't shop at Whole Foods or sprouts or some other designer grocery store, this is a great place to shop. It's always clean and bright and the cashiers and customer service are very nice. read more

I spend a considerable amount of time near Desert Ridge and this is a convenient stop. The store is well laid out, always clean and the employees are super helpful. I especially appreciate the suggestions from the ladies in the deli. I've been trying to avoid the bakery department since cookies keep accidentally falling into my cart, but I usually find what I am looking for. Lately, the fish department has gotten a lot of my business. Right now I am unhappy with all grocery store prices. No matter where you shop, the prices seem to even out and still too high. Oranges were sour, apples had marks on them, bread had mold after 2 days and bag of potatoes had roots on them. It's a very nice grocery with excellent produce and food options. Also, the store was very clean and had a cheery feel! I stayed in a nearby hotel and purchased food for snacks in my room and also to take for my lunches. The prices were reasonable and I had food for several days. The hiccup for me is that the building address is for the actual mall. I walked from my hotel and my maps took me to a vacant building in the mall. I did a lot of looking and walking before I found someone who could tell me where the store actually was. What should have been a 1 mile round trip ended up being a 2.5 mile walk. I'm really disappointed. I live right next to a different Albertsons but drive a few miles extra for this one because it's much nicer. I ordered my daughter's birthday cake and cupcakes for her birthday on Tuesday to be ready for today. I sent my best friend to pick up the order about 30 minutes before the party started and when she got to my house, the cake was completely cracked all over the top and the cupcakes, which were supposed to match the cake, were HOT pink. When we ordered the cake, I showed them a picture of what I wanted and the lady taking the order took a picture of it for the decorator. The decorator also looked at the photo I showed them. I live very close to Albertsons and I come here on my way from work. The staff are very friendly and the store is always clean. I was at this location a couple days ago, I saw that they have little carts for children to help with shopping. This is such a great idea! I would like to give the cashier Michelle 10 stars! Tried to buy a smoked turkey today at the Albertsons on North Tatum. On line it shows 23.99. When we went to pay it was $44.95. Spoke to the manager and she said she couldn't do anything. On the plus side, this Albertsons is expansive, it is well stocked, has a diverse inventory, is well lit, and immaculate. Some of the "fresh" prepared food looks gross, sub-commercial grade. The wings at the Wings Bar looked like bad, Truck Stop variety food. Prices at this Albertson's are ludicrous. One can't beat the convenience, if you live near Desert Ridge, but, the prices at this Albertsons are grossly inflated. Back to Walmart, we go, for many groceries. I think Walmart grocery prices are 20-25% below Albertsons. Ironically, we interacted with many kind customers. This Albertsons is conveniently in the Desert Ridge shopping area. They have a great deli and cheese selection which they slice to your preference. Very friendly and helpful employees. Been going to this Albertsons for years. It's hit and miss. Sometimes clean and stocked and sometimes a total disaster. This review is about how they are handling Covid. Not well in my opinion. Of course they have the big signs stating to wear masks and that the carts are clean. Well on my visit there were at least 5 customers with no mask. I don't mean pulled down, but none whatsoever. The worst part was an employee / vendor stocking cheese. This person had no mask / face covering and was yawning and clearing his throat all over this small area. The area was made even smaller by the boxes of cheese to be stocked. I saw an elderly couple look like they wanted to get some cheese, but they walked away. Many other aisles were blocked with boxes. I get having to stock, but maybe train employees to give some space to the shoppers. I talked to an employee and apparently they don't offer Covid testing to their employees - even when a co-worker tests positive for Covid. Also no notification to customers when employees have contracted Covid. Do better please. read more

Albertsons/Safeway are extremely overpriced and I will never be back to this location after not getting a sale price that was shown on a shelf but apparently was in the wrong place. I had to go to Customer Service and they were worthless as well as combative, refusing to change the price and told me it was my fault. Service is terrible here. Young workers do not know the law. I went shopping with my sister and they would not let me buy alcohol without seeing her ID. I am a 30 year old dad and showed my ID to buy the alcohol but they would not let me buy it cuz my sister (who lives with me) is underage even tho I was buying the alcohol for myself. They kept saying this is against the law but this doesn't make any sense. Would they not let a mom/dad with their young child who is obviously underage and doesn't have an ID buy alcohol?! or a mom/dad with their young teenager buy alcohol and demand an ID from an adolescent?!!?!? You will find whatever you need and more. - Lotsa smiles. The folks who are working here always say hello and provide very warm customer service. - Booze Barn. They have a sizeable section dedicated to alcohol in all it's various forms. - Pre-made foods. Whether it's the soups, the salad bar, the hot food bar, or the deli, they have a cornucopia of options to choose from. - Super clean. The store looks brand new; shiny and polished. HUGE parking lot makes finding a spot an easy task, and quite frankly, there isn't anything to complain about. And while folks like Robin O. will always dredge SOMETHING up to complain about, the rest of us are happy campers--grateful for a great store filled with competent and friendly employees. I'm a huge fan of this Albertsons! It's always clean and organized. I also find it is usually well stocked and rarely do you see empty space on the shelves.
