I know my son has ringworm but he/his dad began treatment on Monday so approximately 36 hours. Ringworm is highly contagious and needs precaution for minimum 48 hours. I read the instructions from urgent care and immediately I'm concerned; the Doctor prescribed 2 creams for treatment: one prescription cream (which he had) and one over-the-counter... I called my exhusband thinking my son forgot it in the car... instead I was reminded why we are divorced in the first place... so I head to MY CVS (this one) to seek help. With my son's urgent care instructions in hand, I was invited to the CVS Pharmacy consultation counter. The pharmacy technicians that night were beyond kind, patient and helpful. Now for clarity, when I asked my exhusband where the second cream was, I did not realize it was over-the-counter. If I had, I wouldn't had bothered contacting him first. Since the other cream was over-the-counter, the pharmacy technician with brown scrubs walked us over to find it. He provided more clarity to the discharge instructions like he was predicting the future questions I would have once I was home. I wish I would have gotten his name because I will never forget his help, knowledge and kindness he showed this last Tuesday.

I drop the prescription off at Walgreens on Monday, here we are Thursday and I have called every day only to get the run around, on minute they are telling me it will be ready in 30 mins, then when I called an hour later they tell me oh no you talked to the call center they don't know anything let me look into this, she proceeds to tell me she doesn't have my dogs prescription on file and has no record of all my calls. Whatever I can get past that, so I just want to move forward, they tell me they only have half the prescription, that's fine I'll take it. I finally get the text I have been waiting for my prescription is ready! Woohoo off to the pharmacy I go. I get there only to be met with a bill for $115 for half a prescription, with CVS I get a full prescription for $37, you do the math, that's a pretty big difference pay more money for half the prescription!!!! What the heck. So I ask what is going on? The lady tells me there is a national shortage of the dose my dogs needs. I can get it in a different dose, but the vet needs to call it in, vet office is closed today. I sure wish someone would've communicated this sooner so this was all resolved a week ago!! I'm beyond disappointed and frustrated with the customer service I received from this Walgreens.

The "Health Hub" area was super clean, and the check in was easy. The NP, Robert Tejeda, was attentive, thorough, and not at all rushed. I usually go to the Stapley and McKellips location, but since the pharmacy there closed much earlier than this location, I asked that he send the script to this location instead. I get out of the office, go and check how long it will take, and they tell me 2-3 MINUTES?!? Wow. That never happens at a pharmacy. I went to grab a water, and before I could make it back they were already announcing that it was ready. I was in and out with my antivirals in less than an hour, with great service across the board. I'm half considering transferring all my prescriptions here, even though it's an additional 10 mile drive. They are way better than my usual location.

My wife scheduled an appointment to get my toddler a flu vaccine. When we were called to go into…read morethe patient room the provider Tiffany Herriage NP did not interact with our daughter at all. She quickly went to give the vaccine to our daughter without giving us instructions like the other times she got vaccines. She acted like our daughter is an adult and knew what to expect. When the provider went so quickly, without the usual instructions to hold her it caught me off guard. My daughter punched the needle away causing the needle to bend and left a significant scratch on my 2 year old's leg. When she did the vaccine again there was a similar awkward action as my daughter squirmed. To the point, this provider doesn't seem to be skilled with young children. She also lacked compassion for the painful scratch my daughter has. We will never use CVS again as a result.
