Let me set the scene: it is Tuesday at 6pm and a full moon; my 7 year-old-son is getting dropped off by my exhusband. I know my son has ringworm but he/his dad began treatment on Monday so approximately 36 hours. Ringworm is highly contagious and needs precaution for minimum 48 hours. I read the instructions from urgent care and immediately I'm concerned; the Doctor prescribed 2 creams for treatment: one prescription cream (which he had) and one over-the-counter... I called my exhusband thinking my son forgot it in the car... instead I was reminded why we are divorced in the first place... so I head to MY CVS (this one) to seek help. With my son's urgent care instructions in hand, I was invited to the CVS Pharmacy consultation counter. The pharmacy technicians that night were beyond kind, patient and helpful. Now for clarity, when I asked my exhusband where the second cream was, I did not realize it was over-the-counter. If I had, I wouldn't had bothered contacting him first. Since the other cream was over-the-counter, the pharmacy technician with brown scrubs walked us over to find it. He provided more clarity to the discharge instructions like he was predicting the future questions I would have once I was home. I wish I would have gotten his name because I will never forget his help, knowledge and kindness he showed this last Tuesday. read more

I specifically went out of my way to go to CVS because they advertise carrying Genexa anti acids. I go to the back there is no Genexa there's no price tag for it. They don't carry it at all. This is what I got to buy for the same price. It's half the size and half the amount of antacids for the same price just two weeks ago. Just to let you know Walmart doesn't carry it. Amazon used to carry it. They no longer carry it. They're forcing us to purchase Tums and the aluminum ridden, chemically driven anti acids by stopping all the healthy medications.. we must all stop buying from stores like this until they carry what we want not what they want to shove down our throats. Not a walk in clinic unless you want a vaccine. This review is regarding the nurse and not NP. The nurse that was working today around 10am was able to help two elderly people walk in and get an appt. I waited my turn and she said to check in after I said I was a walk in. When she came out again, I stated that the next appt was 640pm and I'd rather be a walk in. After that long wait, she then explained that they do not allow walk ins. Even though it is clearly stated online, inside the clinic, and she just helped two people in front of my get a walk in appt. The nurse was rude, disrespectful and obviously does not care about the patients around her. I went to the clinic in Mesa off brown and was able to make a walk in appt without wait. The staff there was very knowledgeable, nice and respectful. I will never have my loved one go to this minute after the way the nurse was to me. Just horrible. read more

Prescription called in early AM. By mid evening and no notification I try to call them. After endless run around by their clueless computer voice they transfer me to the pharmacy. At which point I spend forever on hold and nobody ever picks up the phone. Par for the course as they more often than not fill the prescription incorrectly. I honestly feel CVS employees go through incompetence training because they have that down. Tomorrow morning I'll have to call the doc to fill my emergency pain meds at a different pharmacy. NEGATIVE STARS. Christina is right....this IS the most UNCARING and cold-hearted pharmacy I have ever been to. Nathanael M. is right...you WOULD THINK THEY ARE GOVERNMENT RAN. Aly is right....the employees are abnormally aggressive. Paige is correct too....NOT once have I ever had a non-rude interaction. How dare they put someone who has had brain surgery through unnecessary added stress. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS 1) The worker at the front didn't even acknowledge ANY customers. In fact, when she saw me she put her closed sign up and walked away ignoring me. 2) I was in line at the pharmacy with 3 people behind me. The "manager" (if that's what you want to call her) walks by all of us and starts opening the register....I'm assuming to close it. NOT ONCE did she even acknowledge any customers existence. The correct way to handle the situation is to acknowledge the customers by saying... "Hello, someone will be with you shortly" ....and walk away. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. A monkey could do a better job at managing this place....literally. Then after several minutes a pharmacy worker comes up and stares at me. Doesn't say... "Hi, how can I help you" NOTHING....just a stare. So I guess you hire mute people only??? The prescription was not ready so I decided to wait in my car. I get outside an realize I left my keys inside. I go back within 1 minute and ask them for my keys....again I am met with a stare. No words, no communication just a stare. Thankfully a CUSTOMER answers.... "They put your keys behind the desk" So basically a customer knows more about the functioning of the store then any actual employee does. RIDICULOUS! Your store takes to long to fill an order , I was just there. First it took 20 minutes for 2 customers and a lone waiting , and no one came to assist the 1 person that was filling the prescriptions. I finally get to my turn and they give me a new company instead of the company that my medication helps the most. They do this without telling you so you can get a new prescription because you have to open the bag to see the prescription. CVS is like a scammer drug store offers you what you are supposed to have then switches it out , instead of sending it to another CVS that may have the correct company and drug. This is the second time these scammers have done this. I don't want the switch of my medication to s company that it doesn't do what it says it does. So we get second hand drugs instead of what actually works. These stupid people should be removed from CVS pharmacy. To people who can figure out their job and stop giving shit drugs that you get paid to move instead of a legitimate companies drugs. I hate even going to CVS anymore. They should automatically send your prescriptions to a CVS that can actually order their drugs on a timely manor instead of running out. If you run out your not doing your job period. Been coming here for years and using this pharmacy with almost no issue. Just called to ask about a delayed prescription and was constantly cut off, given a generic answer that was not fully related to my question and then hung up on while trying to ask for more clarification on what he said as he mumbled through it in the first place. I'll get a name tomorrow. The staff here is great minus whichever guy is answering the phone representing them but that was just rude and so dismissive. If he turns out to be the main pharmacist, I will gladly go somewhere else. read more

Would not give this pharmacy any stars if possible. For starters they NEVER answer the phone, and when someone answers they always say "please hold" before you can speak and leave you waiting. After speaking to an unhelpful employee by the name of Greg or George, i asked to speak to the manager or supervisor of the pharmacy. Someone by the name of Tim got on the phone and immediately stated "i can't do anything for you, call your insurance". After asking who i was speaking with i attempted to talk to the "manager", and he rudely began to talk over me. At that moment i paused and asked if i could talk, because i did not get a chance to say a word without being talked over. The "manager" then says "yea, sure how can i help you I'm busy". So i advised him that i am a customer here and that he should respectfully let his customers speak without rudely interrupting them. This is not the first time I've had a bad encounter with this pharmacy. But for a "manager" to tell their customer "how can i help you, im busy". That drew the line. No matter how busy you are, you should ALWAYS have good customer service when interacting with people. This is unacceptable and I'm sure the Walgreens across the street will provide better service. read more

After being told on the phone today by the pharmacist that he " does not have the time to call and speak with another dr " about changing my medication from liquid to tablet formula for my bronchitis - i am really concerned about the actual quality of "care" they are providing for clients. I am glad that my medications allow his paycheck to still be paid however I wish that was not the case for this location. Worst reviews i've seen in a business and I clearly understand why. Had my med removed from here and will HAPPILY go across the street and pay more at Walgreens for better service and a kind staff that helps you. Went in today with my Mom to get our Covid booster shots. Big line down one isle and in front of the pharmacy despite having an appointment. People had been waiting 1 1/2 hours. We got our shots 1 hour after our appointment time, messy, disorganized little minute clinic room, RN seemed completely frazzled and in over her head. Not sure where the disconnect happened but it was for sure not an "easy" visit to get our shot. read more

Don't trust prices. Always check your receipt because literally everything marked clearance I was charged full price for. I came back to dispute it with my receipt, and they said they wouldn't refund the difference in pricing without the physical product present to scan. I even had pictures of the barcodes on the products and they wouldn't even use that. That's not the first time this has happened either, it's just the first time I tried to do something about it. Either the manager is totally inept or the policies of cvs are just completely stupid. But if there are sale/clearances marked, you shouldn't have to check your receipt to make sure they are honored. Secondly, you get coupons and rewards, but they expire in such a narrow window, those rolls of endless paper might as well be garbage. They're just a scam. Lastly, whenever I get prescriptions here, it sometimes takes days to fill them. I have to call and call to make sure they got it. I would give zero stars if I could. This is without a doubt the worst CVS Pharmacy in the State of AZ - don't use, please go elsewhere!!! It's open 24 hours, but they have screwed up every single prescription I've ever had filled there. It is extremely poorly managed, current person managing needs to be replaced immediately! They do nothing when they make mistakes and trust me they ALWAYS make mistakes. No compensation, remorse or even an apology for overcharging, getting your RX wrong or making you go back and forth multiple times because they are too incompetent to get anything right the first time. I gave them a try for 4-months, every single month they screwed up, it's now time to switch pharmacies. I went to this pharmacy because the one by me closed when they were processing my meds. They said I would have to come and pay full price for meds and the. Be reimbursed because the closed CVS started processing my meds then closed at 6. They told me it would be $12 out of pocket. Nope they charged me $167 and said I'd have to drive all the way back here tomorrow to get a refund once the other store stopped processing my meds...CVS needs to get its system together!!! They never answer the phone and then give you inaccurate info which costs you an arm and a leg!!!!! CVS has been so disappointing and such long waits it's ridiculous. read more

The pharmacy here is the WORST. I waited in the drive through since I had my toddler. The guy at the window said my insurance wasn't on file and I needed to come inside and wait in line to have it updated since, "It would take to long" I pulled around, got my baby out and went in and got in line. After waiting the next pharmacy tech told me I needed to go to the drop off window to have the insurance updated... Walked over there and the guy didn't even look up or say hi or how are you? Just put his hand out for my card and asked for my name/DOB. Asked him if he could ring my scripts so I didn't need to wait in line again and he said no. It took him LESS than a minute to update the insurance that I was told would take too long for the original tech to walk over to him or even the second tech... I got back in line and the second girl that sent me to the drop off window told me I would be next. How rude to the guy that had gotten in line while my insurance was being updated... another girl walked over and helped him, finished and then helped me. I didn't recognize the number that came up on the screen or name and asked her to update it. I followed the promo on the pin pad saying it wasn't my number and she gave me my total... I asked her if she could update the phone number and she legit said oh it didn't give you the option? I told her no and she said, "oh well, at least it won't go to someone else now" so I still don't get my prescription updates. So after three terrible customer service moments, I think it's needless to say, I will be switching pharmacies. read more

On April 6, 2021 at apprx 2am I had a very bad and hurtful experience at this store location. I own a rental property behind this location and have been coming to this CVS for over 13 years. On this morning, my 2 year was very sick with a tummy ache and I had to make a run to CVS for something to help him with the pain. When I walked in the store, the sales associate up front never greeted me or asked me if I needed help, which was fine because I was in a rush and knew what aisle I needed to find. A few moments later, I noticed the sales lady peak at me from another aisle but I paid no attention. About a minute later, when I went down another aisle I saw the sales associate was in front of my aisle watching me again. I found out she had been following me through the store. This sales associate NEVER asked me if I needed help finding anything, she assumed I was going to steal. As a black woman, I knew she was racial profiling me and I was shocked because this never happened to me before. I proceeded to the cash register with my babies medicine. Before I even got to the register or pulled out my credit card, she tells me "Just so you know I can't give you any cash back" I was like, what? I'm confused because I never asked and I didn't even get a chance to pull my card out. This lady never said a word to me prior to this and this was her first statement to me. I then asked her why she was also following me and explained to her this was an example of racial profiling and how hurtful she made me feel. Then I asked her why, but she had no good reason. I then asked to speak with the manager, who I found out was "Justin". I explained to him what happened and how it made me feel. All Justin had was a whole bunch of excuses for his racist sales associate which means nothing will change. I even told him despite following me around the store she never asked if she could help me find anything and assuming I needed cash back at the register just insane. I will NEVER shop at this location again and will happily shop across the street at Walgreens. Very hurtful and sad situation. Following black and brown people through the store is never okay. read more

My husband is working out of state in Mesa currently. He took an Uber to cvs and was followed around by the manger- Ramone and treated like a common thief. He has NEVER stolen anything in his life and Ramone followed him from aisle to aisle until my husband had enough and asked him what his deal was. At this point he was told he should just go to Walgreens across the street!! I can't believe the unprofessional horrible behavior that a MANAGER exhibited and will NEVER shop there again. MINUTE CLINIC I walked into this location at 1:45pm. Watched as the board would take off 30 min then add it right back. I ended waiting 3 hours 30 min after the estimated hour and 15 min when I started. At 5 my name was name was taken off the list!! Why? Who knows! Nobody checked if I was there or even called my name! I was standing next to the door when the nurse took the patient before I was supposed to be taken. I even heard his name called and remembered it! When he came out the nurse asked "what do you need?" I told her I was waiting. She said "oh we're you a walk in?"I said yes and she said "I'm not taking walk ins". You can imagine my surprise. She then proceeded to tell me "you weren't here a while ago..." I told her "when you took your last patient back?" I even said his name!! She was unmoved. She stated "come back tomorrow". No apology!! I advised her I had been there 3 and a half hours and she replied "some people wait longer, I don't care". Worst treatment from a lazy employee. I spoke with the manager of the store. She stated "I'll make sure the right people know". Whatever that means. Cvs and minute will not take any actions I'm sure. I recommend you seek treatment elsewhere. read more

Adding to the low reviews for the pharmacy ..... had a confirmed appointment for a Covid Booster and they cancelled it by text as we drove into the parking lot of the store because "they ran out of vaccine". I understand running out, but if you know you have appointments coming in, make sure you have enough at the beginning of the day. read more

The Pharmacy staff is WONDERFUL. Very customer oriented and efficient. The younger, big guy, Sal? is awesome to deal with. He's poilte and is very accomodating, I just love him. The cashiers at the main checkouts, on the otherhand, need to be taught customer service. I have never met more cranky, crotchity old folks in all my life. They followed us around the store like we we going to steal something and everything my 4 yr old looked at or touched the old man was right behind him straightening up the shelf. I was extremely uncomfortable and the man was not exactly welcoming. Very odd behavior and we aren't the type of family who would be profiled as theives. He made me feel that way. I am debating on changing to Walgreens but I really love the Pharmacy folks at this location. It's a tough call. Such a yucky time of year when everyone's just crazy and sick. Minute clinic was fast. The nurse was so peppy and nice even though I know she's been crazy busy and is 9 months pregnant. Pharmacy had my meds done in 2 minutes and big sam was so friendly. Bathrooms are nice for one of these places and try had some good deals on liquor. I will defiantly come back here. Tried to print photos from an SD card & from my cell through Bluetooth. Neither worked. Both employees tried to help but couldn't get the photo machine to work. Eventually told me to try somewhere else. One star for helping but that's about it. read more
