If I could give no stars then I absolutely would. It's crazy how slow the pharmacy techs are. I didn't go to the pharmacy until an hour after my prescription was sent and I literally waited 15 mins for anyone to get to the window at the drive through. Then after giving my insurance card I was asked to go in the back of the line again because the other pharmacy tech had to recheck the prescription. So here I am at 42 mins and I'm still waiting at the window for my prescription. Something drastic needs to change because this is completely unacceptable. Definitely the last time I'll be coming to this CVS. What a disappointment. read more

I can't describe how upset I am with the pharmacy. I have waited here for over 4 hours and still haven't received my prescription. I got here at 8:00am. The pharmacy was unbelievably understaffed. I finally get to the front and they tell me they are out of the 40mg version of the prescription. I have to get my dr to call in, to switch it to the 20mg version that they did have in stock. That finally gets done. They tell me to come back in 1 hour. I come back and there is a line practically out the door. They only have 2 people on staff during flu season. To make matters worse, they seem like they're just going super slow and not really putting any hustle into their work. It takes another 2 hours to get to the front of the line. Then they tell me that my insurance can't cover 4 of the 20mg pills and that it would only work with 2 of the 40mg pills. They had my insurance card at the very beginning, yet they didn't check that when they had me call the doctor. They called another CVS and they have the 40 mg. However, It's now midnight and I can't have the dr change it. The pill I'm taking is for the flu and I have to take the pill within 48 hours. By the time I can go back to urgent care tomorrow, it will be beyond the window to get it. read more

I totally agree they are a great pharmacy - have had to go 3 different times recently to pick up my Mom's and a neighbor's RXs. All 3 times I went thru the drive-thru - the person who got my RXs couldn't have been nicer, and was polite and quick. Even asked for and got some cough drops and Children's benedryl on top of the RXs and she didn't even blink an eye but ran to get them both. Wow, now that is true customer service! read more

Both my husband and myself were treated extremely rudely by the pharmacist named Fry. I was notified by text through the pharmacy that a prescription would be ready. When my husband went to pick it up they claimed to have never received authorization for a refill from my doctor. This is the second time this has happened and the first time my Dr. Office told me the pharmacy lied. When I asked the pharmacist why I was not notified that my Dr. supposedly did not respond Fry began screaming into the phone about how that wasn't his job and he had thousands of patients. I asked for at least one pill since it was heart medication that i CANNOT discontinue. He kept interrupting me and screaming at me. Saying he did his job and that he was going to "end the call". I finally had to yell over him saying I knew he could give me one pill so I didn't have a heart attack while waiting on my stupid refill. He said "Your husband didn't ask for that I just spoke with him". When I said yes he just explained to me that when he asked for just one pill you turned him away. Fry then called me a liar. I finally got my one pill after being screamed at and up on. I don't know what this guys problem is, but I suggest he find a job where he doesn't have to interact with people. read more

Worst CVS ever the manager was working walking around the store and following me everywhere I went as I attempted to shop he did his one curtiosy check asking me if I needed help finding anything after I told him no he became very short and was nearly stepping on the back of my shoes following me around the store being fed up with his attitude I decided to check out I was going to buy a couple more things and get a drink on the way out but on my way to the counter he asked if I was ready to check out I said yes and he literally ripped the chapstick I had in my hand I was going to purchase and took it to the counter saying I will check you out. I'm not sure what his deal was if he thought I was going to steal something but I have never been treated so rudely by staff at any business I would like to report him to corporate but it's just not worth my time if you find yourself in the area and need some medicine or something I recommend just going to the Walgreens across the street you will have a much better time. Even a different CVS location would be okay just this one and the manager he even had his other employees follow me around boxing me in an aisle. It's too bad that I can't leave 0 stars because that's what this Pharmacy deserves. Today they texted me at 12:55pm saying that my prescription was ready to be picked up. I was there at 1:00pm to pick up my prescription and when I got to the pick up window, was told that the pharmacy is "temporarily closed" due to the pharmacist walking out because their shift was over.... I'm sorry, what?!?! It's a 24 hour pharmacy, there should never be a time that it needs to "temporarily close" due to a shift change. Anyways, I asked if they would call me when the pharmacy reopens so that I could go back and pick up the prescription and the clerk (who by the way was very passively aggressively rude) said, "no you'll have to call us to see if we are open". Again, I'm sorry, what?!? They are inconviencing me already and now I have to track them down to see if they are open for business again so that I can get my prescription, while I'm sick and trying to take care of my baby? No care for their patients whatsoever. Absolutely horrible. Do yourself a favor and have your prescriptions filled at a different pharmacy, even if you have to drive a little farther. read more

People are still very friendly and helpful, but something has changed in the 8 years we've been going here, and I'm not sure what. Sadly, it has been for the worse. I wish there was an option for 0 stars because that's what I would give this pharmacy location. This review is only for the pharmacy not the entire cvs. Came through the drive thru last night around 9:15 to fill a prescription for Tamiflu. Got referred to this location from the cvs close to my house because this location was open 24hrs. That was a huge mistake and I completely regret going to cvs instead of Walgreens. Pulled up through the drive thru and took about 10 minutes for someone to come to the window and help us. Finally a young girl came to help us, she seemed as if she was new and didn't know what was going on. Finally she comes back and said it's going to be 30 minutes to fill the prescription, fine we'll wait...30 minutes go by and I go inside, figure that will be quicker than drive thru...wrong...took 10 min for someone in the pharmacy to acknowledge me. Ask if the prescription is ready and no! The young girl again said it was going to be 15 minutes or so still...back out to the car to wait. 20 minutes later back through the drive thru and finally the prescription is ready! But it wasn't...they only had 3 pills out of the 10 pills I needed for my prescription...wow that would have been nice to know when I called to check to see if they had it prior to even driving that direction, in which they said they had it is stock!! Also they didn't tell me that they only had the generic stuff, would have been nice to have gotten a heads up or a phone call letting me know what was going on so that I could have just taken my business else where! Said I had to get the rest of my prescription filled at another cvs...no help at all from them! Had to call around today and find another location that had them in stock!! Thankfully not all cvs locations hire idiots and the gentleman I just spoke to at the Gilbert and Germaine location was super helpful and currently filling the rest of my prescription. Now the normal drop off/pick up of Rxs is fine. However, I was prescribed a strong combination of antibiotics. I was unsure how to take them, and what to avoid. The pamphlet provided some answers, but raised others; especially about a chemical additive to avoid to not become violently ill. Now it's quite simple to understand 'Don't drink alcohol'. Understood. But this chemical additive I never heard of. Well, the pharmacist with the head scarf (I'm not being picky, I don't know her name) just wouldn't listen to "the words coming out of my mouth". I asked her repeatedly about skincare & foods, and would just stare at me, and say "What do you want to know about this medication?". All she knew was that it was an antibiotic and not to drink. That's all she knew and she wouldn't take time to LISTEN to my questions. I brought the pamphlet, highlighted the name of the chemical additive, pointed at the name as I presented her with the pamphlet. She wouldn't even look at it. She wouldn't LISTEN. Educated, intelligent, but ignorant. She does no one any real good consulting patients. Such a shame. She could care about the patients she is paid to serve and their questions. Pathetic. read more

This is the second pharmacist with CVS pharmacy that I have had a very unpleasant experience with. There seems to be a pattern as the first pharmacist was at the other 24 hour pharmacy on Dobson and Warner, because most other CVS pharmacies and pharmacists and great experience with. What is it about the 24 hour stores that have such despondent pharmacists?? I was denied a pack of insulin needles, even though I showed proof of my prescription (which there is no law stating that you need to show such proof)to Dan the uneducated yet educated, "enforcer", Who is the pharmacists that is a big part of a problem In this country, and thinks his personal politics is the right thing when it's arguably not. Though I was not using the needles for administering illegal or legal drugs intravenously, I was treated like I was. When I began to question him on why he would not sell these to me, I pointed out in issue where people are being forced to share needles or use old needles because of pharmacists like him. he brought up a statistic that heroin kills more people than aids, which is true, but what he failed to listen to because he decided he wasn't going to hear anything I had to say, shut his glass door and ignored me. I told him I had a few more questions, and he threatened to call the police. Wow. I decided to record the incident which made him very nervous, to the point where he was visibly shaking, but I wanted to ask him if he knew the statistic of heroin deaths that were caused by over used needles. And what he didn't know is that I have educated myself on this matter, I didn't report on it actually and what needs to be out there is the factMini users that don't have access to new syringes, tend to put as much of the legal drug is the Kenyan into a single shot since it's a very difficult task to do with they don't need all... And they are going to put a hole in the rain that is larger than normal, you're going to get the most out of it as they can, which is what ultimately leads to death. It's obviously an issue that the government has even taken notice to, by offering new needles through an exchange program called Shot In The Dark. Yes, our tax dollars are being used to hand out free needles to junkies because they can't get them anywhere else, more specifically Cvs (Walgreens as actually never given me any issue, but then again I do not look like a drug user). These programs would not exist across the country if it wasn't a concern. But what bothers me most is that I am still a customer, just because I had questions and wanted to Point out that his thinking could probably be reevaluated, he treated me like I was a door to door salesman, slamming the door in my face , not letting me get a word in edgewise. I went to the Minute Clinic in this store for my annual TB Skin Test where I paid $35.00 for the test. I THOUGHT that included the reading like it does at EVERY other facility/clinic I've ever been to. I was wrong. I was told I had to pay another $30.00 to have the practitioner sign the form stating I didn't have TB. I was completely shocked and told the NP I never would've had it done there if I would've known that particular detail. She didn't even spend 2 minutes with me (which isn't a problem, it's literally a 30 second appointment) and I'm disgusted that CVS finds it ethical to charge $30.00 for something that's included everywhere else. I even called the Fry's Little Clinic and the Walgreens Healthcare Clinic after I left to verify that they included the reading with their price and they indeed do. The manager at the CVS in Mesa, AZ store #5026, is Very Rude and disrespectful. I serviced this CVS store for 2 years as a vendor. On May 10, 2018, I entered in to the store to perform my weekly tasks , then all of a sudden the manager (RAMON)., began yelling and screaming at me " I'M TIRED OF DOING YOUR JOB FOR YOU!!! then said' YOUR BANNED FROM THIS STORE, DON'T EVER COME BACK!!... This was shocking to me..considering I'm in his store each week and he signs off on my completed work tasks. He would also nag and hound me every time i come in the store about getting him some coffee from Dutch Brothers...."Where's MY Dutch Brother's COFFEE BRO? Nonetheless, I found out that Ramon is the Training Manager....He has terrible communication skills. He then told lies to my employer about my work ethics, in which they know I am a role model employee.. Weeks prior, he asked for my employers phone number regarding some work assisgnments. On May 10th, he also made the statement, that I gave him a fake phone number and said, "It was probably one of my friends phone number I gave him." How ridiculous is that? I have been with my employer for over 8 years, never had an issue. I found other complaints online about the same manager. He is really doing a disservice for CVS. I just visited The Minute Clinic inside this CVS/pharmacy and I had the best experience! The NP, Alexandria, did a wonderful job. The wait was no more than 5 minutes (granted I was the first in line), she got me back right away and answered all my questions and made sure to complete a thorough evaluation. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I will definitely be coming back to this Minute Clinic in the future! read more

Was just completely offended by Doug, the Pharmacist. He honestly yelled at me in front of entire store because I needed a presc filled before it was due. I had even contacted my ins. co. the day before to make sure it would be acceptable. I am going on vacation and I was told getting prescriptions filled early is a common practice. Ins even did a "test fill" and it went through with no issues. They told me if the pharmacist had probs, just have him call them. He refused. This man freaked out on me and raised his voice several times during our discussion. I merely asked if this is a company policy or his personal issue. He would neither confirm nor deny but was definitely able to degrade me and attempt to make he feel horrible for going on vacation. Wow! Just wow! I have been going to this pharmacy for almost 4 years and unfortunately they now have acquired the rudest staff. The worst customer service, not all cvs are this way but I would avoid this one if you need help or want good customer service. If you hate your job quit don't treat those who pay your salary with disrespect and rudeness. Do not come here if you are getting a pain medication filled. Like other reviewers I also experienced a great deal of difficulty when I attempted to get my mother's pain medication filled. She has a long term, life threatening illness and had under gone a major surgery as a result. After release from the hospital I went to this location to fill the prescriptions given to her as a part of her exit instructions. After I handed the scripts the tech she went over to speak to the Pharmacist. When she returned she stated to me that my mother did not need the script for pain meds and they would not be filling it. I've never experienced a tech telling me that a script was not needed so I was actually confused at first and asked her to explain. That's when she went through the process of counting out the days of the pain script my mom had filled before her surgery at the same location. All of this going on in a short and curt tone of voice. I explained that my mom was just released from the hospital and the doctor requested that she take this new pain medication. The tech decided that this new information further supported that she was right; my mom did not need the current scrip I was trying to fill. Again, she started counting out the days, now subtracting the days she was in the hospital, all while still talking in a short, curt tone of voice. The tech further explains that this new script could have been written by a different doctor, which it wasn't and she knew that. At this point the pharmacist comes over to support the tech in the decision to not fill the script. He has the same short and curt tone to his voice that the tech does. I explain to him that the scrip is different and my mother has directions to discontinue taking her previous scrip and to take the new one, all of which is listed in her hospital exit information. At this point the pharmacists realizes that the scrip is a lower dose pain medication then her last one and decides to fill it based on that and the information I provided. After some more back and forth with the tech about the validity of the prescribing doctor's license, the scrip is eventually filled. At no point in this long exchange was there ever an offer to call the prescribing doctor for clarification until I suggested that they please do that. The entire time I felt like they thought I was some sort of druggie trying to get one over on them. It was extremely uncomfortable and I'm just thankful that is was me and not my mom having to go through the experience. It's alarming that a 20 something pharmacy tech is making decisions about what medication someone does or does not need. It's also alarming that based on other reviews this is happening with regularity. If the pharmacist has any question about a medication being prescribed, than the best way to handle it would be to tell the customer they need to call the doctor to get clarification before filling it. I would have taken that response and been happy to wait while the questions were answered. I did call and speak with Ramon, the Store Manager, after I arrived home, and while he was very apologetic, I was not left with the notion that this situation would not happen again. read more

The only interaction I've had is strictly pharmacy.. And the customer service level is out of this world! I was just discharged from the hospital and needed a special cough syrup my insurance didn't cover (day 10 bronchitis and sinus infection). I don't recall his name, but the pharmacy tech went above beyond customer service. He said he could call and ask for an emergency override because of my condition, something I believe he really didn't have to do for me. And he did it, warning me there was a huge possibility they would deny it but he spoke to them for a good while (not sure what the conversation was) and he got it approved! A 100+ dollar prescription had I not had it covered. (Something I definitely could not afford on the spot) and my insurance covered it for me. I could not be more grateful. He went above and beyond for a customer and that's just outstanding to me in this day and age. (I work also as a customer service rep for a large company) I wish I could thank him more, I'm so eternally grateful I feel like I didn't thank him enough and wish I could have done more to show my appreciation! Definitely 5+ stars! I'll never go elsewhere! And I live waaaay across town. Best 24 hour pharmacy hands down!! read more
