There is good reason why this store has so many bad reviews, particularly the pharmacy. If you call, the phone gets picked up, and immediately slammed back down on hold. This may go on for a very long time. No greeting, no interaction, just pick the phone up and slam it back down on hold every time it rings. Store managers are aware of this, and they do nothing about it. I've asked many times for the store to stop refilling one of my prescriptions. Yet every 90 days, I get a message telling me its ready for pickup. If they can't address such simple things, how can you trust them with your health? You should avoid this store. read more

Go anywhere but Walgreens for photos. Avoid this location in particular. The photos ALWAYS come out highly contrasted, and not at all how they are submitted. On top of that, their printer constantly breaks, ruins photos, they don't inform you of this error, and are quite rude and unapologetic in the whole process. read more

He called me over and started berating me and said that the doctor's office that I went to are a bunch of f'in idiots and he couldn't fill my prescription. He also started explaining the situation to the person next to me which was really embarrassing because I really don't want strangers knowing what meds I'm needing. I went to a different Walgreens the same day and they had no issues filling my script. I still don't even know what the issue was except that he didn't like my doctor. The service is good, as I even had an employee ask me if I am finding what I need, and with a smile at that! The ambiance is quiet, even as it was busy while I was there. Most unprofessional pharmacy. Showed up a few minutes before 9 and the tech & pharmacist looked right at me multiple times & then proceeded to turn off the lights and walk out the door. Medications I needed, showed up before closing time, and they closed early with a customer in line. f I could give 0 stars, I would. their pharmacy is a joke. always making stupid mistakes, laziness in pharm assts. I try to be kind to their staff, but after today, this is the straw that broke the camels back! I've been getting my morphine scripts (2) for almost 12 years ,3 at this Walgreens. What's really funny about the controlled substances is that if you try to get them two or three days early, Walgreens denies it. If you wait until you're out of pain meds, then another stupid mistake is made, and I end up not getting my prescriptions.. I went on the app last night, 5/13, and didn't see my morphine scripts, which I know my doctor sent in two weeks ago at my visit. Then, I go to the website, find the two scripts for the morphine but of course, it lists a pharmacy location I haven't used in four years! so I spent 30 minutes on the website trying to put the two morphine scripts at the correct pharmacy. This morning, at approximately 11:00 am, I called the pharmacy and spoke with the pharmacist personally. I asked him when he thought my two morphine scripts would be ready. His reply to me was "about 30 minutes or so" after looking at the scripts on the computer. Now, mind you, I ordered these two morphine scripts last night online, put them in my cart, and receipt was acknowledged by Walgreens. I show up at the pharmacy 3 hours later, going thru the drive thru which is always so much fun. I finally get to the drive up window 10 minutes later, and tell the pharmacy clerk i was picking up two scripts of morphine and one other script. He then says to me, "oh, there's only one script for the morphine."At this point I can feel my blood pressure rising. I had just talked to the pharmacist 3 hours ago and there were no issues. So then this idiot pharmacy tech comes back to the window and says, "oh well the other morphine script isn't ready. we didn't know you wanted the other one.". I then say to him, "what are you talking about? both orders were submitted last night, I've been taking both morphines every single month from Walgreens for the past three years. I just spoke with the pharmacist and he said he would have them ready in approx 30 minutes.". Then, this dummy says to me, "oh, well we will need you to drive back around and go to the end of the line, because the script won't be ready for 15-20 minutes and we need to help other customers." Excuse me! can you believe the nerve and stupidity of this pharmacy tech? There were six cars behind me. it would have taken me an hour to get thru that line after waiting in line. Plus, this tech was just pulling lies out of the air. This has been, and continues to be, the worst pharmacy in the entire state. Of note, their pharmacists are great, however their pharmacy techs are just stupid and lazy. Theit app is ridiculous to use and is constantly missing medications. medications are constantly filed under the wrong letter of the alphabet. the pharmacy technicians lie and make things up as they go. You would think after going to pharmacy tech training, that they would know the letters of the alphabet! I've brought this to the attention of the store/pharmacy manager, who, in my opinion, needs to go back to training so he can learn how to deal with people. I've had him say things to me such as "well what do you want me to do about it?". well maybe your job!!!!!!!! Do yourself a favor, go to another pharmacy, any other pharmacy but Walgreens! read more

The few times I have been here there has been a long wait. The only reason for the second star is because the Pharmacy Technicians have always been very polite. The pharmacist on the other hand has not been. I've never seen him, but the gentleman that called me was far from polite. He basically said I was "doctor shopping" because I got a medication from a specialist instead of from my primary care. I had picked up a prescription of the same medication a couple weeks prior, but the specialist also changed the dosage. The pharmacist said. That did not matter and he refused to fill it. That's fine, he has that right, just like I have the right to go to another pharmacy. I went to another pharmacy who had no problem filling the prescription. They simply told me to stop taking the medication I picked up a few weeks ago, which was obvious, but I'm sure they have to say that. Regardless, it shows that the Walgreens pharmacist basically thought I was a drug dealer... so that's cool. read more

Scheduled an appointment for a rapid covid test before my upcoming trip, whoever was working the drive thru needs better service or social skills because was his attitude while explaining everything was off. I didn't really care much until my mom mentioned he was the same for her & he slammed the test in there and walked away as she went to begin. Walgreens is one of those places where it's pretty much everywhere you want them to be. Whether it's casual shopping of hardcore purchasing, best believe you'll get your bargains here. I happened to be here on Saturday, 2/13/2016 while waiting for 5:30pm to happen and I had some time to kill. I also needed some items for the next morning's Lost Dutchman 1/2 marathon in Apache Junction preparation. This Walgreens is your typical set up and definitely a destination store that's not Walmart or KMart, or any other regional store y'all have in the southwest. This place has basically anything and everything you would need on a daily basis, from food options, to cleaning supplies, to stationery and office products. This Walgreens was typically slow especially on a Saturday afternoon, so it was quiet to shop. Not Much people were in the store shopping and there were a handful of staff working to keep things flowing and the time on ticking. The overall experience here was good and normal. Average and positive, that's the main thing. The prices here are very competitive, compared to those in Honolulu, where I am from. The sales tax here is more than Hawaii's one, but the cost of retail and the cost of living is much lower than that of Phoenix and Arizona in general. The store itself is kept up meticulously clean and the shelves are well stocked with everyday items for those who need them. They keep the prices as low as they can while still being competitive in the local economy, as well as contributing to the national and global economies as well. This Walgreens store is located at 754 N Higley Road in Gilbert, AZ. There is not much in the way of generous parking here, but with the customer turnover, you can be sure that you can find a spot to park and shop here at this Walgreens. Like most giant retail establishments across the USA and around the world, Walgreens accepts the major credit cards, so that's always a plus. For me, shopping at any convenience store, grocery store, supermarket, or even a snack shop definitely helps cut down on expenses while on vacation, domestically or internationally. Shop where the locals go and see the local flavor of the area you are in! The store itself was air conditioned and the staff here was not as friendly, but adequate for this experience transaction. I did buy a few things, which made the next morning better for my 1/2 marathon experience in Apache Junction. I didn't have a Walgreens card, but they gave me the sales price versus the regular price, which was awesome! While I was an out of towner here in Gilbert, AZ, I kind of felt sort of like a local resident here. Just a tiny bit. Made me smile a little. For what it's worth, Walgreens is one of your essential stops to get daily necessities, whether it be groceries or other everyday items. Walgreens has got you covered. HORRIBLE experience with the pharmacist Cynthia!! Doctor wrote a script one day for pain medication, I got it filled and tried it my body did not respond well to the medication so has the doctor call in another one the next day. Cynthia flagged it, which I totally am fine with but then I had my doctor call down right then and explain the situation and she still declined me the medicine. She is not a DOCTOR!!! My doctor is a licensed professional in Arizona for over 40years. She was so RUDE, if she wants to be a doctor she needs to go get her license to be one. read more

I have had several experiences with this particular pharmacy which one was getting a entirely wrong prescription that wasn't even mine, same one I've taken for 4 years. And the pharmacist also questioned a dosage that was recommended by my doctor and refused to refill it. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this pharmacy and more specifically, Cynthia Kuna, or "Cindi K." My girlfriend had a few prescriptions that she had filled using her existing insurance. Her insurance left a lot to be desired in covering her part of the medication cost. So, I called and spoke with a tech and inquired about the possibility of getting a refund by utilizing Goodrx.com to save some money on these prescriptions for the surgery that she had earlier in the day. I was told that it would be possible and so I decided to make a trip to the pharmacy to get this refund. Upon arriving at this Walgreens, I was told by Cynthia Kuna that she would not honor coupons for "controlled medications" because of fraud concerns. There are 2 things that don't make sense about her fraud concerns. The first would be that the Walgreens at Higley/Williams Field honored a GoodRx coupon for a "controlled medication" for me about 45 minutes earlier. Secondly, I WASN'T TRYING TO OBTAIN MORE MEDICATION FROM THIS WALGREENS. I SIMPLY WANTED A REFUND FOR THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE INSURANCE AND WHAT GOODRX PROVIDED FOR THE MEDICATIONS THAT SHE HAD PURCHASED THE DAY BEFORE!! Furthermore, if Cynthia Kuna was concerned about "fraud" she could have performed some additional legwork and called the other Walgreens if she felt any funny business was going on. However, since it was getting close to closing time and there were customers behind me in the drive-thru, she discontinued our discussion and hung up the phone on me. Upon reading other reviews about this woman specifically, it's no surprise the treatment and lack of customer service I received from her tonight. Just to drive home the point one more time: I was not requesting more medication, just the difference in cost for medication that was already received. Through sheer laziness and lack of critical thinking skills, I was treated like a drug addict. Oh, and one more thing, if anyone is wondering why I went to the pharmacy and not my girlfriend, it was because she had surgery about 8 hours earlier and was in a great deal of pain. read more

Went early afternoon to drop off a prescription for our daughter, and told that it would be ready in an hour. After receiving no text that it was ready, we went many hours later that evening only to be told that they didn't even have it in stock. Really? When you turn in a prescription, it means that you really need it. At least tell us up front that it's not in stock and save us the time. Went here at 730 am for an urgent matter on my way to work. This location doesn't open till 8 am and the ones by my house are open at 7am but when I came to the door it opened (I am used to seeing walgreens doors with carts or signs in front of the door when they are closed) and a worker was running around opening the store and I asked if they were open and John p who was working there said no but he would be more than happy to help me out and check me out since the registers were all ready to go. I love this store because it's close to my house and I can always get what I need in a pinch. Today I went in to get photos developed and I have been dreading this process because I knew it was going to take time and patience which I do not have in abundance. Luckily Mary was the person helping me out and she was amazing!!! I am usually flustered when it comes to technology but Mary was patient, kind and extremely helpful. She helped download the app and got me ordering my photos in minutes. She just made my Christmas that much easier and I am grateful for her kindness and warmth. When I dropped off my prescription in the morning at 9am the pharmacist said they would text me when it was ready, which they did. You can imagine my upset when I return around 5pm only to be told one prescription was not ready and they needed to speak to the Dr first. Also, I couldn't hear the lady she was speaking through the drive thru box instead of the phone intercom (which the guy in the morning used just fine). I returned home with the antibiotics for my 2 year old only to realize the pharmacist Cindy filled a TABLET prescription for a toddler. This is the second time I have had an issue with this pharmacist incorrectly filling a prescription for my family. When I returned at 745pm to pick up the corrected prescription, Cindy spoke to us through the non-broken intercom. Someone teach the other lady how to use it! Cindy also gave me the worst apology I have ever heard (oh wait, I heard the same one from her before) "I am human and make mistakes and well, it's Walgreens and we get busy". Well let me tell you something, Walgreens, if your pharmacist has made two medication mistakes with my family, then how many has she made with others and will continue to make? We will be transferring to Target. Not risking that nor looking for a terrible, non sincere apology. If my daughter would have choked on the tablet guess who would have had a lawsuit?
