Don't rent the rug doctor. They don't maintain equipment. Mine dripped and leaked during operation. Used up all my cleaning fluid and parts of carpet were soaked. It was the biggest hassle with a carpet cleaner I ever had. Spent hours just trying to dry soaked puddles. read more

First off, this is the best grocery store in Paso Robles, with a great selection, good prices and usually good service. One part of their service that is consistently lacking is their bagging service. Our county banned the use of plastic bags and stores are required to charge for paper bags or customers provide their own. I am fine paying for paper bags. It seems like when the law was passed, the clerks and baggers forgot how to properly pack a paper bag. When I was a kid, grocery stores had contests to see who could pack the best paper bag. The winners would put like items together, put heavier items on the bottom to build a base (cans of soup), they medium weight items (boxed cereal) and then the lightest or fragile items at top (chips or eggs). They would be careful not to put toxic household cleaners next to fresh fruit. They would balance the weight among the bags so that one would not be so heavy and break. Now, when I visit the store, on a regular basis, the things I buy are just tossed in haphazardly with little consideration for the goods. You would think that now that I am paying for the bags that service would improve, right? Not so. To be fair, there are a lot of great employees here providing good service and some of the baggers do a great job. But I think the store could use a training program. read more

This Albertsons has a nice selection of local Paso Robles wines for a cheaper price than you would pay at the wineries. It is a good place to pick up cheese and crackers for a snack before you begin tasting wine after browsing their wine section. read more

My husband had gone in over the weekend and bought boneless ribeye steaks from the meat counter. We BBQ'd last night and to our dismay one of them had a worm in it. It was quite gross. We had just cut into the steak and out it came to the plate. It then burrowed back into the other portion of the steak on the plate. Needless to say we threw the steaks away. I called and spoke to the meat department and the gentleman I spoke to didn't seem to really care. Just told me that they have never had that problem before and he would pass information on. Then tried to hang up. I wasn't asking for refund or anything just wanted to let them know. These steaks are not cheap. I won't be back here again. I am so grossed out. read more

Aside from the fact the store is too small for the town, the lines at check out are horrible. This is an on going problem and it was really bad today. Over 15 minutes standing in line for check out. The lines were down the aisles and all in front of the check out counters. Only 3 checkers. A few people just walked away from their carts and I can't say I blame them. When I finally got up to the register I mentioned it and the gal said it was told it was "corporate". If that is so, they are going to start losing business. I am going to head to Food 4 Less next grocery run. I used to really like Albertson's, especially the one in Atascadero....much larger and better arranged and enough checkers. Unfortunately, some agency or whatever decided Vons and Albertson's couldn't be in the same town...stupid, but there ya go. Now, shopping at Albertson's had gone down hill....items out of stock and horrible long lines....I'm done! read more

Just to echo other reviews, the wine buyer at the Paso Robles Albertsons, Linda, is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, particularly with local and regional wines. We enjoyed wine tasting in Paso Robles but were able to purchase a broader selection than we could have possibly found otherwise. Kudos to Albertsons and especially to Linda for showcasing local wines and helping visitors to Pasp Robles locator fine wines that aren't available anywhere else. read more

I am a fan...however. Meta is a P..I.T.A. she is soooo slow, so yappy and does not listen to the customer. Today a guy said no to her double wrapping some frozen ribs, he said no twice, but she did it anyway. I told her not to waste a bag for a watermelon. it fit in my cart just fine, but again, she insisted on putting it a plastic bag. Then....oh never mind. I have gone to this Albertsons for several years now, and the employees have always been amazing and helpful. It would seem not one of them ever has a bad day, they all seem happy to work there creating a positive place for us to shop. I am in there at LEAST 4-5 times per week, and have been in there a couple of times in one day. Yesterday I was shopping with my 2 kids and my 2 1/2 year old daughter was complaining that her stomach hurt, so I was flying thru trying to get everything I needed as fast a possible. We get to the check out line and my daughter lost it, everything in her stomach...everywhere. I was shocked and not sure what to do, immediately the checker, Brandon P, finishes with his customer and rushes over with paper towels asking what else I needed. Then within seconds a manager, female, and I WISH I got her name came rushing over with a shirt to change my daughter into. Then a 3rd employee, a young girl with long brown hair, I WISH I got her name too, came over with water and a bottle of sprite. They shielded my daughter while i changed her shirt, got me a bag for our messy stuff and went right in to checking us out and sanitizing the isle complete with a brand new cart. Brandon helped us out and to our car, I am SO grateful for such an AMAZING staff and Manager at Paso Robles's Albertsons, they took a horrifying situation and made it so much better!!!! read more

My husband and I were on a getaway in beautiful Cambria several weeks ago. We did some local wine tasting and spent a bit much then on our way home to L.A. we stopped at an Albertson's to buy local wines and unfortunately we went too far south and found an Albertson's in Morro Bay. When we were going up and down the aisles we ran into a woman that looked like she knew her wine and asked for some recommendations. She said if you really want a good selection you should drive back to Paso Robles and see a woman named Linda. She does such a good job buying great local wines and she will help you. LOW AND BEHOLD we drove an hour to Paso Robles because we got a little lost and we bought wine based on all the ratings listed on the shelves and when we were checking out a woman comes up to us and says, Hi are you the folks from L.A.? And we were stunned and said yeah how did you know? And she said the woman from the Morro Bay Albertson's said she referred a couple from L.A. to her store. That was soooo bizarre but we loved that she coincidentally ran into us while we were checking out. She looked at the wines we were purchasing and approved 90% and totally steered us in the right direction and helped us pick excellent wines. We drove away thinking what a coincidence that was but here I am googling Linda in Paso Robles Albertson's and find all these great reviews and comments about her. She is amazing. How she knew we were from L.A. baffled me. Did we look like city folk? Did we look confused? I have no idea but of all the busy check out lines how did she spot us more than an hour after we ran into the other woman at Albertson's in Morro Bay? Kismet? We were thrilled to run into her and were so pleased that she guided us with our purchases. I googled her so I could contact her and she could help me for Thanksgiving and Holiday wine purchases to consume and give away. So nice to find someone so knowledgable and helpful. Keep it up Linda. Okay so this is just for their wedding cakes. First I have to say, I have NOThad my wedding yet. But for cakes they are a huge contender. There are not many good bakeries that do wedding cakes in this area, and manywill charge an arm and leg for just a "simple" wedding cake. First off, their cake tastings are FREE. You fill out a little "order form" and figure outa pickup date. They give you a platter of decent sized samples. They offer about 6 different types of cake, and about 6 or so fillings. The price for a square three teir wedding cake that feeds about 100-120 people is 350.They do charge more fore elaborate piping and if you want fresh flowers on your cake, you have to buy them and they will trim them up and put them on for a $20 fee or you can do it yourself. Either way, they still have much better prices than he bakeries whose cakes and fillings couldnt even compete with albertsons (and to me thats sad when a grocery store can do it better) The cakes/fillings at albertsons are good, no one would ever know it was store bought. All that daid they do need notice. My reccomendation is 6months although they said at least 2mos notice. If you want something a little different than whats in their books, I recommend printing some pictures out to show them what you want :) They are very nice and seem willing to work with you. If you are on a tight budget and want a decent cake, I would suggest albertsons. Oh and the their cake "icings" include vanilla or chocolate buttercream, whipped cream or the non dairy whipped cream.
