I went in today to purchase some cod fish after leaving a different store that only has two (brown) pieces. I made it to the seafood counter and to my surprise they had it AND it was on sale for $5.99/lb. You can't beat that price with a bat!!! Don, the seafood counter clerk, greeted me with the sweetest smile and the best customer service. I was greeted upon entry & when I left!!! The clerk at the self checkout assisted me with pulling out bags for my groceries. I had an amazing experience today!!! Let me find out Albertsons have the same training as Chick-Fil-A!! They have THE NICEST employees at this store. Crystal & Jason especially, but many more others who are very friendly and helpful and great at their jobs. The new remodel on the store is nice, it's kept clean, and the carts are decent. It's a little more expensive than wal mart so I only go here when I need a few things, which is several times a week sometimes ;) but if you download the app and set up an account you can catch some amazing deals and get points for free stuff. Sadly many dairy items were out of date. Moldy Parmesan cheese, no fresh mozzarella. On top of that, prices were higher than other stores.

What is that awful smell that hits you as soon as you walk in? A grocery store SHOULD not smell like that. I don't know if this is a regular occurrence because yesterday was my first time going in...my toddler was having a full meltdown in the car and I was out of snacks. I'm so glad that what I needed was fairly close to the front...but I was going to get stuff for dinner as well but due to the smell I had to leave very quickly. Apparently everyone else was used it to because I looking around to see if anyone else was making the "stank face" like I was...but unfortunately I didn't notice it on anyone else. When we walked in we were welcomed, wished a "happy new year", and asked if we need any help by four different employees. They were all smiling and happy, and I was surprised by how clean and organized the store was!! They had everything we needed (except for real vanilla) and the shopping experience was so easy. It wasn't overly crowded even in the middle of the day on a Saturday and we didn't have to wait at all to check out because they had so many lanes open. I just moved to the frigid north of DFW and I'm glad to have found another awesome Albertsons to do my grocery shopping at. read more

I rarely shop here, ever since some genius corporate VP decided that long shopping isles from the front of the store to the back of the store were better than shorter isles with connecting cross-isles down the middle. This strategy is not customer friendly, especially for seniors. To make matters worst, this genius decided to rearrange the location of groceries. I finally had to ask an associate where the soft drinks were now located, to find out that they were moved several isles over. I placed an order for groceries to be delivered between 11-3 today. At 4:25 I called the store to find out why my groceries weren't delivered I was told that the driver never picked up my order and it would be another 1-2 hours to get another driver. Visited here recently in search of sale items (shameless, I know). Our old Albertsons (one of the ones that closed some time ago) always seemed to suffer from bad smells in the store, but this one was just fine. I still don't like the lighting and general layout of the store, but I was here for beverages and was able to locate them quickly and check out quickly as well, especially considering it was a busy Saturday. This makes any grocery store a success in my book. The only other downside is that it takes some work to get into the place due to the highway exit layout and surface roads, but that's not really their fault. read more

The staff was wonderful and always so pleasant. I'm giving one star because I said to my cashier "wow, you guys are so busy tonight" and she goes "ya, definitely not the night to punish employees. They sent people home for forgetting their masks, instead of just supplying them with one they sent them home without pay." They were handing masks out t customers as they walked in, you can't give it to an employee? How terrible and unsupportive of a company. You should be ashamed and treat your employees better. My husband contacted the bakery one day before my birthday to order a cake! To our surprise they said they would take his order and if 11am pickup was okay and my husband in shock agreed! That being the first best customer experience and it only gets better!! He made a suggestion regarding the type of cake he wants and the lady taking the order suggested for the amount of people a 8 inch round which was perfect size! Then she made the suggestion of a Victorian Lace with real pretty decoration and Happy Birthday blah blah, and then he asked could you put chocolate dipped strawberries on it and the lady said they were currently out of sipping chocolate and would put the strawberries plain though, he said okay! Well the next day they called to let us know it was ready for pickup before 11am second best customer service experience, then to top it off they were able to put dipped chocolate strawberries on cake and the cake was Gorgeous!!! The whole experience with their bakery and their people working was Exceptional!! Everyone loved the Cake!! We will be back!! read more

This Albertson's is so nice, especially compared to the outside of the building which is as non-descript as any other Albertson's. The store is always immaculately clean, and well decorated. The layout is easy to navigate and sort of naturally leads you in a half circle around the store terminating at the registers. I'm glad to see Albertson's doing well in this area. read more

I only shop here once in a while because it's the closest grocery to my home, and every time I regret it. POSITIVE: The produce is fresh and the store seems clean. NEGATIVES: They don't offer organic products. Their prices are steep compared to Kroger and other competitors. The meat section reeks like fish. No matter what time of the day I've been, the checkout lanes are backed up. Usually there are only one or two lanes open. 9 out of 10 times the cashier is unfriendly... The last time I went she just glared at me after I smiled and said "hello", then proceeded to roughly shove my groceries in bags without care. I was trying to find a certain item, when Arick walked up to me and asked me if he could help me find something. My favorite thing about this store is the produce section. The selection of cut fruits is wonderful - watermelon, pineapple, mango to name a few - and frequently on sale. The store-made guacamole is my absolute favorite. I can find items here that I cant find at Target or Walmart, like Stella D'oro cookies! The Albertsons at Eldorado and 75 in McKinney is one of the nastiest most unorganized establishments I have ever been in. There is never a time when I go there that there isn't something wrong. The bathrooms are never clean and there is hardly ever even any TP or paper towels to even dry your hands. Would not recommend this store to anybody. read more

Are you kidding me?! Ok to start off with we've been shopping at this location for a good 10 years and haven't had too many problems with it. But lately the products and customer service is inexcusable. First of all there was milk in the refrigerators that was already expired! When we tried telling the cashier about it they just shrugged it off and tried to convinces us we read the label wrong. I'm sorry, but if I'm going to buy something that expires in a short amount of time like cold products, I'm going to make sure I know the date on the item... Second of all a couple weeks later we gave it another try and when we came home there was expired pudding that they sold us! It wasn't even a couple days out of date it was 6 MONTHS OUT OF DATE!!!! I'm sorry, but 6 months? Really?! Whenever we realized this we called the store right away and got in touch with one of the managers for this location. After explaining both occurrences to him, he promptly apologized (there's a step in the right direction), but then hung up when I was talking to him. If the company and store has the customers as a priority then all of this wouldn't have happened. I will be avoiding this store at all costs from now on! read more

I have shopped there for a long time since they are the closest store to my house. I will be driving all the way to Kroger from now on. I went in about two months ago and bought some seasoned chicken legs to cook in my rotisserie oven. After about 5 minutes there was a god awful smell. Like garbage. They were obviously no good. My husband had to help me dispose of them....I nearly lost it the smell was so bad. I quit shopping the meats for a few months. Thinking it had to be a fluke last night I bought some plain drumsticks. Same thing and one of them was oozing some brown goo. Also! At Christmas I bought $450 worth of gift cards for my employees, The lady ringing them up kept shuffling them around and scanning the same on e more than once.When I asked her how she could possibly know if they were correctly rang up she argued with me that they didn't have to be individually scanned. OMG. I made her print the receipts off and we were short several. Another lady had to help figure out which were not activated by matching them one by one with the receipt. Good thing I was paying attention! Obviously they are putting out rotten meat and the checkers are not trained all that well... I am so over this place. Whole foods and Kroger only for me from now on :-( read more

On two separate visits to two different stores we bought items only to discover after we got home that they had gone bad or were expired. The food variety and brand selection is poor, mostly because too much of the store is given to non-grocery items. Many shelves are sparcely populated. Produce quality is marginal. read more
