I come hear frequently, wide variety of stocked items, and employees are usually nice to talk with. They do charge more then other places so I've found myself coming hear less and less, but will always be a customer since its so close to my house. read more

I am only writing this, because being elderly and disabled, I have really gotten sick of going in and the little electric carts are either not working, out of juice, broken, etc. Rod and all of the checkers I go to, are great, as are the friendly, helpful people that bag, and help you to your car, or whatever's needed. Special kudos to Judy! Please, please fix or get us workable handicap carts. P.S how about cash register receipts that show the FAB 5 discounts. You can see them come up on the register, but they don't show on the receipt. read more

Shout out to cashier Teresa; next time a customer with fewer items wants to cut to the front of the line, it's generally courteous to ask the person already in line, with items on the conveyor belt, if they're cool with that...instead of just inviting the other person right on up. I probably would have been perfectly happy to let the guy go ahead, but since neither of you bothered to ask me, I got to feel nice and ticked off instead. Pretty disrespectful if you ask me. I don't know if you sensed the forthcoming yelp review or if you're just not very friendly, but to follow up with the fewest words possible and not even a smile really was the sort of customer service that'll send me right on back to Sprouts. Thank you to Wesley for bagging the stuff and loading my cart. You da real MVP. read more

While all grocery stores are similar, this store separates itself distinctly by the great workers they have. Everyone is always willing to help and so friendly! Ken has always been one of my favorite people here and shopping today was no different. If the lines are long, they'll open a new lane, and when I've forgotten an item, they will even go grab it for me. Thank you Fletcher Parkway Albertsons for leaving me with a nice grocery shopping experience! read more

My first stop in this Albertson's was just today. My daughter bought a house nearby and I stopped in on my way home. I'm probably going to do all my grocery store stops here timed with my visits. This a really a great store! This store is really well stocked and merchandised. The produce and meat sections remind me more of Whole Foods than a Vons or Albertsons. Much more impressive were the people. Everyone including the deli counter, meat/seafood counter, liquor department and check stands were pleasant and out to help. The checkout girl even explained the sale items so I could go back and exchange a few things around for extra savings. One gentleman named Steve was especially helpful in helping me find things, including finding additional stock of an item in the back. I bumped into him three times, plus a forth when he came to find me in the checkout aisle because he had found yet another odd item I was looking for. It wasn't just me that he helped. There was a couple that came in looking for things in the floral department which was closed and I saw him go open it, take care of whatever their needs were, and watched them beaming with appreciative smiles. The GM of this store should be elevated to training the store mangers of the many Albertsons and Vons stores that just don't compare to this place. Really good job folks! read more

I want to give this store more stars, as the staff and manager Rod are very helpful and nice, however, their visible MOLD growth on their ceiling tiles has been concerning and unaddressed for many months, even after reported. At one point an area by the freezers was SO BAD the tiles were drooping and bulging with huge mold growths, it had obviously been growing for some time. Cut to today, 3 weeks after I complained, they had obviously changed the worst sections of moldy tiles, but more mold had begun to grow. The manager even confirmed that their corporate doesn't take these complaints seriously enough to fix, including a reported ongoing leak under the concrete/ tile floors by the refrigerated meat section. If this is how they maintain their premises, I can't even imagine what the "back of house" must look like, or if the food is properly handled/stored. I am not comfortable with all the mold spores that have to be circulating, and now not confident that their storage or equipment is properly maintained. Though this is my closest grocery store, I cannot return until their facility maintenance dramatically improves. JUST GROSS. If they don't care about their store, they clearly don't care about their customers' health and safety. read more

Already took the survey for you but I wanted to highly recommend the floral shop here! I tend to have no help when I go to grocery store floral departments. I was already cringing when walking in because I just wanted to find the right flower to give my mom for her birthday. I picked one and Nicole helped make it beautiful. What stands out to me is that she was actually leaving for her lunch break when I approached the counter. She stopped and said "you caught me just in time!" But, with a smile and helpful attitude. :) She easily spent 10+ minutes with me. I'm just super impressed and I had a beautiful arrangement for my mom at the end of it all. Great customer service and I will always keep this particular location in mind for my floral needs! Thanks, Nicole! read more

Bought soda that tasted funny and noticed it had a month left before expiring (most sodas have at least a year once it's on the shelf) and then my friend bought bagels without realizing they were expired with mold on them. I'm posting this in hopes that somebody of higher authority can make a more conscious effort to monitor the inventory before it causes severe harm. read more

Usually no complaints, but Tonight, I had the honor of having Christian ring me up. He was very "throwy" with most of my produce, he would scan it and literally throw it into the conveyor belt to be bagged. Bread: THROW, avocados: THROW. Bell pepper: THROW. Tomatoes: THROW! Glass: THROW. If I were buying eggs, I feel as though he would have scanned the carton and then super punched it to the conveyor belt. I hope your day gets better, Christian and I hope in the future, that if you're not having a good day you won't take it out on my tomatoes. Thanks, Albertsons. read more

I just had the most horrific experience using WIC at the Albertson's on Fletcher Parkway!! Check out lines were empty so I walked right up and separated groceries, told cashier I was using WIC. Her face immediately fell. Another patron headd towards our line and she said REALLY LOUDLY, "she's using WIC, this will take a long time." She scanned the bread and told me I had grabbed the wrong size. I told her they were out of the correct size and asked her to check in back. She refused and told me to go back to the aisle and get correct size. I went to aisle and they were still out. Walking back to lane I over hear her telling another customer, "she got the wrong size for WIC." Got back and said there still isn't any bread please check the back. She turned around to check the aisle herself and said, "it doesn't have to be that exact brand." She returned and shockingly the bread did not materialize. It was at this point her manager arrived and dealt with the bread. I was so mad I left the store and sat in my car for awhile. I happen to be a foster parent using WIC to help off set the significant amount of money I pay out of pocket to provide the kids in my care with EVERY opportunity. On top of that it doesn't matter why I use WIC! Every single customer should be treated with dignity and respect. I did go back into the store to speak with the manager who was absolutely appropriate and very nice in all my interactions. He agreed to speak with the cashier, but here I am an hour later still feeling horrified about the experience. read more

I've been going here since I was in middle school, and I went today since the Albertson's I go to in Spring Valley is quite disappointing. I was very happy that the produce is fresh and the packaged food and dairy products were not about to expire the following day (like the other Albertson's). The cashiers are really nice and they get you in and out with a quickness. read more

From the management team, to the checkers and baggers, to produce, deli, bakery, and meat counter, they all care about the customers and are friendly, The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is because of the pharmacy, check the Sav on pharmacy reviews . The pharmacy fails. read more

This review comes after a horrible experience I had at this location with a sad excuse for a man named Rod. I frequent this location for my job, the employees at the bank inside the store are awesome and always very helpful. I wish I could say the same for Rod who accused me of stealing and tried to keep the items I brought back to return, saying that he thought I stole them. Management stood around and listened to him treat me like a scum bag piece of shit and never stepped in. After contacting corporate and still not having the problem resolved, yelp is my last resort. If I didn't have to come here for work, I would never return to this location. It makes me sick every time I have to see Rod and know that nothing was done about the way he treats hard working professionals trying to make a simple return for their business. read more

There is one particular reason I'm writing this review on this grocery store. Everytime we go in its not busy and super clean and everyone is so friendly. We also go to the produce section first. A couple of times we usually see Enrique and he's always so pleasant to the kids and I. Today my husband was with me and we were getting fruit. AGAIN Enrique was extremely kind and not like a robot but he took the time to make sure we had what we needed. So much that my husband knowing I yelp most really good experiences says "you should yelp him... well not him but the store but make sure you point him out" okay so I'm doing just that. Enrique goes above and beyond for his customers no matter the time and day he always has a smile on his face and always glad to help!! read more

I have to give this place at least 4 stars because my GF always forces me to go there to buy pistachio ice cream; not too common in grocery stores. This place is also pretty convenient since its right off the Fletcher pkwy exit on the 125. My GF told me not to mention the pistachio ice cream because she wants to keep it her little secret. She says this way, there will always be a supply readily available. Please, if you are reading this. Go buy as much as you can! hehe read more

I just wanted to ask a question about something they carry in the deli case. Can't get anyone to answer phone! Just rings, and rings, and rings..... read more

A solid Albertson's store. Rod, one of the managers, is unerringly polite and professional. One time he handled a special request with thoroughness and promptness. They also handle any issues that may arise with personnel, but these are few in between. (Just speak out.) Yet the staff as a whole has been nice. The one wrinkle of Albertson's is its pricing. It cannot well compete with the likes of other stores, especially in produce (fruits and vegetables). In other places, you can make do with .99 a pound, whereas that would be an occasional special at Albertson's. read more

Giving three stars for the excellent location and convenience of this place, and the red box machine and coin star machine. Other than that I dislike this place. Or just albertsons in general. Vins has better prices. Dont get the rotisserie chicken here that's pre-cooked and $6 or whatever, it is disgusting.. Maybe I'm spoiled with costco's amazing little chickens but I took two bites out of the one from here and sadly threw it away. Anyways back to the review, it is your standard albertsons. read more

I've just started going to this store after getting irritated with the service at the Lake Murray store. The service here is so good--the woman at the deli was left alone with a long line and she apologized to every customer and thanked everyone for their patience. And then, with a smile on her face, she told us how serving the food was the fun part of her job. The woman at the meat counter helped us hunt down a package of meat out on the floor. And the woman demoing cookies right now is tops. read more

I suppose a grocery store in a rich area or with slightly higher prices could offer better service and overall shopping experience, but I can't see very many improvements this particular Albertson's location could make. We know most of the staff by name and go here for almost all of our groceries (some things I get at Costco still). The management takes their commitment to short lines, a clean store, and well trained staff seriously and it shows. Plus, I think that Albertson's has found the correct balance between price and presentation; I know I can get canned goods cheaper at Food4Less but who wants to go there when you can be greeted at the door, at the register, and wished well by a bagger?... all for a few cents more per item. read more

I come to albertsons only because it's my local store and if I don't have the time to go anywhere else I come here. Let me start by saying its really not my favorite grocery store. I think they are expensive and it's not always the best things... Im not sure if it's because I've really been into the health food stores lately or even because ive been cheating with Von's but it really opened my eyes to see how this place was kinda a shit hole -__- sorry read more

Everytime they have mix and match sale, they would always run out of stock and asking customer to come another day but not guaranteed if they still have them or not. So, why would I interested to their weekly flyer read more

The employees are nice and are there to help you. Everything is clean and organized and there is usually enough people on cashiers to keep the lines from getting too long. read more

I have shopped here at least once a week since 2008. I drive across town past two other grocery stores to shop here. The parking is easy with lots of wide spaces. The store has many of conveniences: clean bathrooms easily found at the front of the store, pharmacy, coin counter machine, dry ice, lovely floral department, and great greeting card/seasonal/holiday items. The store is spacious, clean, well-lit, and has a large selection. I'm an avid cook and hate to have to drive to Whole Foods to find something...I want to leave my money in La Mesa. The shopping carts are clean and the cart wipes are always available. What really makes it a pleasure to shop at this store is the team that works here. From the management team, to the checkers and baggers, to produce, deli, bakery, and meat counter, they all care about the customers and are friendly. I'm greeted warmly by everyone I encounter and they make me feel like a "regular". I am probably Manager Rod's most "demanding" customer, but he always tries to help with my questions, special orders, and requests (and there are a lot of them). He has a great attitude and customer service spirit and that sets the tone for everyone who works at this store. The checkers are always friendly and remember me as a frequent customer. A special shout out to the lady who stocks the cheese fridge area who ALWAYS gives me a great big smile and hello. It is SO nice to see the same team members here year after year. The baggers actually receive training here which results in grocery bags not over-stuffed, chemicals bagged separately from food, and frozen items tucked in together, etc. read more

I drive out of my way to come to this store because of its cleanliness, great produce and the overall way the store is managed. Yes, you may be able to find some items cheaper at a bulk warehouse, but frankly I don't need 2 gallons of mayonnaise or a gazebo so Albertson's fits the bill... Literally. The staff is very helpful, the selection and quality of the products is great, and the location is very convenient. I have no reason to shop anywhere else. read more

This is a shout out to the Bakery Dept. I ordered a custom made cake for my sister's birthday. I dropped off pictures of my sister that that they copied and used to decorate the top of the cake with edible ink. The cake looked really pretty, it tasted better than Costco cake, and the price was reasonable. Mona - thank you for making my sister's birthday special! read more

I love their bakery. They are very, very good. I noticed their staff is very nice and professional. I will shop here often.

I just moved to La Mesa two months ago and have been to this Albertson's many times. They do have a very good selection of items and a great deli. However, I'm very concerned because on at least three occasions now I've found outdated items on the shelves. A week ago it was meat past its sell-by date and today it was mayonaise that was about 3 weeks past its date. And not just one package or jar, there were several more outdated items on the shelf. I've pointed it out to management every time and just hope they do something about this problem. read more

I came here to get a plate for lunch; chicken tenders, bowtie cesar salad and the strawberry dessert. I specifically asked the lady serving me if the dessert was from today, she said yes.The chicekn tasted old and was really tough. Most of it couldn't even be consumed. When I took a bite of the strawberry dessert I immediately spit it out. Not only was it warm, the strawberries were brownish and tasted rotten. So disgusting. If I get sick from this food, we are going to have some serious issues. read more
