I only come here because it's the closest store near my home. Prices are not that great and lined can be lengthy. If you go on the wrong day they can be practically out of produce. My biggest complaint is that I am always seeing expired food still be sold! Yogurt, cheese, hot dogs, etc. Thankfully I check dates! Once I ordered via Instacart and was given expired yogurt. I had to request a refund. They really need to keep old or near expiring product off the shelves! read more

This Albertsons is the closest and possibly the only grocery store nearby OC Great Park Balloon. One time we came to buy dessert when we received last minute invitation to see the movie at the park. They did not have many selections of dessert/pastries to choose from at that time. We ended up getting a donut which was decent. Next time we were in the area, we stopped by to get some medicine and water. They had Fiji water on sale. I don't usually frequent Alberton's but of all the Alberton's I've been to, this is the cleanest and with the most helpful staff. read more

I've been shopping here for 5 years. I use to love the service and product availability. Then staff changes occurred and I've been treated like crap ever since. The manager is horrible. I've gone there twice a day every day with my youngest son no problems. Then Friday happened. I have Lupus which gives me horrible brain fog especially since the holidays. I love the florist who prayed with me today as my good friend just lost her mom to cancer. I was buying flowers, cards, decor, food, etc. I always do there at that location. I decided to go to Starbucks to eat a little something, a drink, and 2 new cups for Valentine's Day. I wasn't feeling well and the creepy manager knows I have this disease. The staff were really rude to me today as well. They have been for the last couple of months. I guess they're just really unhappy about management as well. They complain all the time. I've kept going out of convenience. So after I finished my snack and drink I started to leave with my cart. I forgot to pay cuz out of habit I go to Starbuck's last. I was literally rushed by 10 employees who know damn well I wouldn't ever steal a thing from there. I looked for a receipt and realized I had forgot to pay. I was so embarrassed and I would have gone back and paid, but creepy manager threatened me said I stole the Starbucks cups and the gift card, and said if I ever came back he'd have me arrested for trespassing. I couldn't believe it. After 5 years of service and this frustrating lupus he says his sister has, he could of asked me if I was ok and said let's go back and pay. I'm so embarrassed and in shock. I know their customer service has started going down hill cuz of him now. So my daily ritual with my son is over because I made a mistake the manager knows better than to accuse me of. People don't matter there. And the selection sucks to now. This is long, but if ur disabled and make a mistake look out cuz you'll get rushed by all the assholes that work there now. For those times that I am unable to buy essentials at Trader Joe's, this Albertsons has been my alternate store for items like soymilk, cereal, and cough syrup. Yes, it's older, but the store is well kept. There are self-checkout lanes if you're not people-friendly that day. There are desserts for one, if you are easily swayed by a large chunk of frosted cake. There are a variety of ready-made and frozen items to nourish you on days you refuse to cook from scratch. There is a pharmacy located inside to medicate you when you take ill. They have bonus buys, coupons, and everyday prices designed to help you save money. My item of choice: Silk soymilk (half-gallon) has an everyday price of $2.99. Soymilk at Trader Joe's is $3.49. For the price and convenience, I'll buy my milk here if I'm in the area. read more

Albertson's is inching its way into my heart... The last 2 times I've gone to that *other* supermarket chain that shares its name with the "Motorcycle Mouse," it's let me down BIG time. First strike was when they didn't have toffee chips. Second strike was when they didn't have cake flour. Third - and perhaps the most unforgivable -- was when they didn't have Benadryl last week! However, Albertson's has never let me down when it comes to getting what I need (although often at a price. But I can overlook that when they actually have what I need in stock.). I hate Albertsons... but I'll make an exception for this location because they sell some unique stuff. They have aloe drink (for the same price as Asian markets) and Mexican helados by the check out counter. That pretty much gives it 4 stars for me. This place is like the TJ's over in CDM, more spacious that I thought possible. So it never feels that crowded. I was in the dairy section looking for a yogurt drink (it was on sale *and* I had a coupon for BOGO), but couldn't locate. Well, the person stocking yogurt offered to look into it, since apparently he does the purchasing for the store. Score. He was very nice and apologetic for not stocking something that was in the local circular. I appreciated that. The cashier was new to ringing up coupons, so he asked a co-worker to watch and make sure he was doing it right - which probably saved both of us a lot of trouble. I must be lucky to have service like this. Even though it wasn't perfect, the manner in which it was handled was professional and courteous. Too bad it's out of my way to get to. read more

This Albertsons always has everything I'm looking for, which is great! Whenever I'm here, it is never crowded. My latest Albertsons trip was for ice cream. It was a couple weeks ago when they had that Ben & Jerry's ice cream for $2.50/pint if you bought 4 or more. I walked out with 4 Ben & Jerry's looking like the biggest fatass ever, but no shame. I was craving ice cream. Their french bread here is so good. I don't know what it is, but it is just so soft and moist. I like dipping it in my coffee. The staff here is friendly and courteous. Today I showed the manager that a bakery item said it contained 7 and I only got six. He just stomped away muttering I'll talk to them. I can't believe I even bother to go to this store. Just this week I found expired bread, stuffing and apples. I have to check every single item I buy because they constantly have expired items. I am with the other reviewers. No more Albertsons. I know this is a bit wierd because I've reviewed 3 different grocer's in a row. But I swear this one is worth the read. Overall it's clean and tidy. The sons take better care of their store than those brothers at Stater's. They don't like to decorate much or keep their stuff that organized so I stick with Alberstons and Trader Joes. We saved over a third of the retail price of the food, but the best part is that there is a "scan guarantee." I didn't know this store offered it but if they scan the item and it doesn't register the sale price its free! You betcha ya. So now I have a free Pasta Milano by Macaroni Grill waiting for me. Not bad if you ask me. This will be the last market review for sometime. read more

This Albertsons is HUGE!! You should be able to find everything here! My sister lives right down the street and this is her go to store. I've noticed when I come in here with her we get much better service at the deli counter, they let us try tons of samples and don't rush us (most locations don't ever offer you samples) I came back the following week by myself and the guy at the deli counter was in such a rush for no reason, there was no one else in line but me! I guess he was in a bad mood. When in doubt bring my sister with you if you want excellent customer service! LOL! I stop by this Albertsons location a couple times a week to pick up some lunch and groceries. It's a pretty big store. They always have fresh produce and all their items are well stocked! I haven't had a chance to try anything else than their freshly made chicken salad and egg salad sandwiches, which are always good and a steal for just $2.99 each! Their staff is always friendly too! This Albertsons is huge. It also has an original Sav-on still attached inside. I have discovered that this particular one carried the can Thai iced tea I have ever tasted. Words can't express how authentic & fresh brewed it taste. You can taste the Nirvana in every can. They carry some wonderful items that can't be found in Los Angeles, from delicious drinks, artisan crackers, & chocolates. I wish we really had markets in Los Angeles as well stocked & wonderful as such. Every time I am in town I come & stock up on the canned Thai iced tea's. read more

The only reason we come here is out convenience and only convenience. Reasons why this place sucks: 1. They always have long lines at check out. 2. Everyday items are over priced. 3. The pharmacy here is absolutely no good and unprofessional. Avoid this location if you need consultation or service. Today I went to for DPT immunization. The lady working there says they don't carry that carelessly without any concern and took off. I know they carry it because the other location ran out of the DPT shot. I asked her you are Pharmacist ? Apparently not. The pharmacist named Nancy didn't know either what DPT means. When she found a Brand name, she recognized it is DPT. She tried to cover herself rather than serving customer. No apology from her assistant or herself. You can not trust this pharmacy since they do not know what they are doing. You may get hurt or you may get wrong medication. You can imagine what the consequence is. read more

super convenient: close to my place and open later than other irvine grocery stores. which is pretty clutch. the cashiers are usually pretty nice. even late at night. but why do I always end up spending way too much for only a few items? probably one of the more expensive grocery stores. they have really upped their "ethnic" snack game though. read more

In one of the more good-looking building areas of the city, one can shop here for almost anything any other Albertsons offers, whether it be yogurt parfaits, avocadoes, or TV dinners. The prices are more or less the same as any other Albertson's. With a square structure next to one of the exits of their store, when one enters from the leftmost entrance next to their internal bank, it obstructs all of the merchandise behind it, and vice versa if entering to the rightmost entrance. Behind that square structure lies two Redbox terminals and an Amazon Locker as well as some of their employee bulletin boards. This location does not seem to have a lot of people in it (most of those I see usually only come in for the Redbox) and the self-checkouts are typically not occupied. There is always a lot of parking around the area. Their yogurt parfaits are always reliable, unlike some other branches I visit. read more

I've been shopping at this store since they opened (in spite of the fact that Ralphs is much nearer home). I've always been happy with them, but the last two experiences were very negative. Last time I came in there were no carts in the "cleaned" section and the cleansing wipe station was empty. I mentioned it to the manager when I checked out and she looked at the wipes station, pulled open the cabinet, and indicated that there were more inside. I don't really think a customer would be expected to look there. Then today when I was checking out the cashier asked if I wanted bags, and of course I said yes since we can't bring our own any more. She said "we're all out, except for the ones you buy for $1". Ok, I guess I'll add on an extra $5 to my total to buy bags that I don't need and can't use. Then in the middle of bagging my groceries, another employee walked by and she stopped bagging to ask her about an Instagram post. Wow,really? I know it's tough working in retail at the best of times and even more so now, but that doesn't mean customer service has to go out the window. Please get it together! read more

Slowest store ever. They have no self check out. They have "express" lanes that take forever, and although it's nice when a cashier is friendly if they spend 5+ minutes talking to every customer in express lane it is no longer express. They need to figure something out here. I've decided not to go back anymore as it always takes so long just to check out. It's the worst. I save time by driving a few more minutes to Ralphs. Plus Ralph's is cheaper. This Albertson's is a little over priced and their produce isn't very good. read more

My family and I love this Albertsons, the employees are very helpful and cheerful. Our today's visit was an excellent one because of Daniel who was helping at the self checkout. He was so funny and helpful. We did not get the discount as advertised when we checked out. When we told him about it, he immediately found a way to get us the discount. The interior of the store is a little outdated but it has everything I need. It is stocked well and kept very clean. It's a huge store so you can get anything you need. Having a pharmacy in there is very convenient. It's nice to not having to punch in phone number to get the extra discount. I wish they had more selection on their organic selection so that knocked a star off. What really bothers me about this place is the removal of the self-checkout line. I see no added benefit of removing it from such a high volume store. They have a sign called, "3's a crowd" but that's never being enforced. As I usually don't have too much grocery, it's ridiculous to wait 10 minutes in line to purchase a box of cereal. I would highly suggest for Albertsons to bring back the checkout line. read more

I had an important guest from China and wanted to barbecue the best steaks I could buy. I went into the meat department they only had three I needed. the lady said she would have someone cut me fresh ones two minutes later they brought a package out I brought it home to find that the bottom of the steaks were brown so they had been turned over to look good I will never buy meat there again. read more

So disgusted and thoroughly disappointed. Meat aisle has at least 10% old brown meat. Gross. The customer service definitely needs improvement also. Went there on thanksgiving and had to yell "excuse me" three times before the cashier who was deeply engaged in a conversation with the bag boy acknowledged me (with attitude of course). Nice store, friendly competent staff. Be careful that advertised sale prices are routinely not matched on the shelf or at the cashier so you have to bring the ad, point to the price, and ask for a manager to override the computer. read more
