It's a lot cheaper than eating at a restaurant and I eat as much as I want!!! :) There's a Starbucks store inside this Albertson as well. This store is my favorite. Most of the staff here are nice. Some are not just as friendly. Deli always well organized and beautifully displayed! Besides carne asada and NY Steaks, I don't buy as much from the store. I often go here because it's a larger grocery store and has all the items that I need. There's a self checkout area where you can purchase items quickly and do not have to wait in a long line. There's always a staff there so if you are stuck he or she can help you out. I also like how they make their own baked goods here. Everyday there is fresh loaves of bread and it's quite delicious when you add garlic and b it term to it to make your own garlic bread. There's fresh florals here as well for gifts or for parties and I like how there's also stuffed animals and balloons that you can purchase as well. On site pharmacy and Starbucks at this location. A few areas that this store I feel needs improvement on is their display of pricing. Sometimes the products are put in the wrong section and when I go to self check out to scan it is a higher price. Also if you place an order here, sometimes the customer staff does not contact you for pick up. You have to be proactive and call this store OR go in to see if your order is ready. Need to improve on their communication. Also some staff can be extremely helpful and others aren't. Not much consistency here in staff at this location. I do like the manager Jeff at this location and he is a working manager as I've seen him stock and handle ordering of items as well. read more

I love going to an Irvine Albertsons because they always seem to have a mixture of western items and Asian items. I stopped by here on a rainy Saturday to pick up some items for a friendsgiving, and had a really pleasant time shopping here. They had a handful of variety for turkey sizes, and there were plenty in stock! This location has a Savon pharmacy and Starbucks inside. There's also a bouquet station that can put together floral arrangements for you. This store was well stocked, clean, and organized. The one downside is it seems like their carts are a little wonky. I actually came back the following day to pick up some additional items, and both days the carts I had were really difficult to use. Workers here are friendly and helpful. This location is in a busy shopping plaza, but there were plenty of parking for the grocery store. I also love how the produce is often fresh! read more

I'm never shopping here again simply due to the fact that every single item is locked up. It takes forever to get someone, and when they finally come, you're rushed like you're inconveniencing the employees. Horrible store. This needs to stop. If you need to protect your items, get better security. This is not the way to do it. I ordered a custom cake for the bakery for my daughter's birthday. It was Spider-Man themed, which was advertised on their website. They called to say the wrap around decoration wasn't available and if that was okay, and that We would get a discount for the change. We agreed. What they didn't say was that the icing would change from blue and yellow to just the brown chocolate frosting. As my husband was the one picking up the cake, he didn't know the original price and we found out they didn't give a discount. Super disappointing and will not be purchasing from the bakery again or shopping at this location. read more

The aisles are neatly organized, and the employees always greet you with smiles and a positive attitude. I recently went to buy wine and shrimp. The cashier was extremely rude to me and even grabbed my credit card out of my hand when the cc machine didn't read my card. It was the worst experience I've ever had, in hind sight I should have left the store without my purchase. When I got home, I had to toss the shrimp I bought because of the smell. I knew I'd be given a hard time If I tried to return it, so didn't even bother. The worst experience I have ever had in terms of customer service. Avoid buying any groceries here. read more

This store has a systemic pricing issue. Two visits in a row I didn't get correct discounts. The first time I let it go. The next time FOUR items were wrong ($12 difference!), including one 50%-off item charged at full price because it was wrong in the system and another one because the cashier just missed the big bright orange sticker altogether. She actually told me I should point the stickers out to her. Ma'am, not my job. You know what Ralphs does to make sure their cashiers can't miss the stickers? They stick them OVER THE OLD UPC CODES. When I was about to leave, the woman behind me tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, "This happens here all the time." Albertsons is also one of those stores that put entire aisles of things like shampoo behind barriers so you have to wait for an employee every time you want to look at something. Not gonna do it. Bought 2 watermelons to chill at home on a 90F day. Sadly both Watermelons are not edible, smooshed inside. The salmon seems overpriced. For 4 small filets, just a little over 1lb, $36. Not sure if it's entirely inflation or greed. Lesson learned: ONLY BUY SALMON FROM COSTCO!! Cashier was nice and friendly, the line moved very slow. Overall not a great experience. I love the layout of this store. Everything is easy to find, immaculately clean, and not crowded. There is a self checkout area, and I had no problems paying for my items. There are lots of high quality store brand nuts and sweets on display in one aisle, moderately priced. And delicious!!! This is my favorite grocery store. Easy, quick, in and out! read more

Shout out to Carmen who is great, super helpful to the loyal customers. Most of the cashiers are neutral/pleasant, which is perfectly fine (I hate that fake "Chik-Fil- A" type friendliness) and some cashiers are downright rude. They seem annoyed to have to do their jobs and answer simple questions. Some of the ruder ones also work in the self checkout section, so for those wondering why I don't do self checkout to avoid them, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Some of the items on the shelf can be past the printed date, so be aware of that. Otherwise the store has a good selection of produce and packaged items. Sometimes sale items run out quickly, so if you're able, shop early. read more

Not sure why this location has only 3 stars. Shout out to the staff for keeping everything clean and sanitized during these virulent times. I've been coming here since the start of the pandemic and feel safe knowing masks are required. Everything is kept pretty well in stock (yes, even toilet paper) and there's a good selection of toiletries too. It's pretty much a one stop shop for most of your grocery needs. You have to find the doors that are open then walk around a barricade of shopping carts then walk around the Starbucks and slip between Starbucks and cashiers to get in . Then if you want alcohol you have to find the undercover lady or manager to open the vault and have them walk you to the cashier . We are in Irvine not Compton ! As someone with experience behind the register, I would be very surprised if she was hired as a cashier. Both went above and beyond the call of duty when I discovered I had pulled the wrong food item. They went out of their way to replace it quickly and without missing a beat. Since I've moved to Irvine, Albertsons has been my main grocery provider since they have some pretty decent deals on produce and the butchery has been very informative. Located within the Cypress Village Shopping Center, the parking lot is spacious and the store is bright & clean. I usually walk through the produce side first since the bulk of my list can be found there. From green beans, brussel sprouts, salad packs to chopped vegetables, most are unblemished and have contributed to some amazing creations. The most memorable experience has been selecting meat for a bolognese sauce. I was looking at ground beef and the butcher happened to ask what I was planning to make. I voiced my thoughts and he suggested blending our meats, like 2:1 ratio of beef to pork, or choosing a fattier ground beef for flavor. His advice really helped step up my game and the bolognese...so bomb! The cashiers are also really nice and usually try to engage with a 'how are you?' or 'how was your day?' Sometimes other places go through the motions or you're kinda having a meh day, but I appreciate the gesture almost all the time. You learn new things, especially if they've got something good to say about what you bought, or affirming a selection you were curious to try. read more

The food is fresh, the service is great, it's clean, organized and easy to navigate. They aren't out of stock on items like many other stores in the neighborhood. grocery stores are one of those locations it is really hard for anyone to avoid going to. I do not know many people that love going to the grocery store. It is one of those things that you just have to do but you never really love doing it. This Albertsons is a prime example of that. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it or anything. But the people that are here sometimes are not always the best. And you don't want to have to always deal with so many people that are in the aisle when you were trying to purchase your things this place makes it a little bit difficult to find the rice as well. The rice is not in the same location where it typically is supposed to be. That makes a little bit hard. Plus the floors at this location are a little bit dirty. The bathroom is always disgusting . A homeless encampment is cleaner than the women's bathroom . I've seen fecal matter on the floor inside and outside the restroom on more than one occasion. It wasn't properly mopped outside . That's a health hazard. The store layout is dysfunctional. You can't find anything. If you need help finding something good luck trying to find an employee. The employees hide. There is never anyone at the fish counter. There no way to grab someone to get help. At least put a bell for customers to ring. read more

I was gonna purchase just 1 can of beer and ice cream. I asked an associate "can I purchase beer at self check out? " and the guy said no. Then I looked cashier, there's only 1 cashier was open. I like the fact that this store has a large space (bigger aisles) great for social distancing plus it has pharmacy/Starbucks inside the store. The store was clean when I went there in the morning. I hope it stays clean even the later part of the day. We were very pleased with how clean the store is, and friendly the workers are especially Dimitri & the older gentleman at cashier #1 (sorry I didn't get his name). He was very helpful and started to scan the big boxes in my cart instead of me trying to put everything on the counter. As an Asian American, I am still anticipating unwelcoming attitudes in general shops, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fried Chicken Review - I got a craving for fried chicken and since there is not a Popeyes in Irvine within walking distance of my house i bought 8 pieces of chicken for $7.99 and a half pound of slaw for $2.45 For 4:00pm on a Friday this chicken was worth it and considerably less greasy than some fast food options. However I kept having to spit out inedible bits which is why I give a 4 star review. The fried chicken was flavored well enough but may be too salty for some. The thigh was the juiciest piece. The skin peeled off the thigh at the top after the first bite. The breast was a little dry. The fried chicken skin had its own unique quality: pearl sized globules of tasty, delightful breading. The slaw had four, possibly five ingredients and tasted fresh. The dressing was appropriate. I would buy it in larger quantities if I wanted a good side. read more
