Albertsons is a multi BILLION dollar company. They need to get paper bags with handles, it's ridiculous. Giving out paper bags that mom and pop liquor stores gives out is atrocious. And maybe new carts that actually work and don't sound like they are about to fall apart. Money should not be an issue for this company. read more

Sign up in the App to get deals and weekly items on sale. Sometimes there's free items to pick up on Saturday like soda or coffee in bottles/can. Easy to order online through the app too. Carne Asada: I buy at 10lbs when they're on sale for $6.99 probably $7.99 now with price increases! I marinated them more when I get home because they don't taste as good just with marinate from the stores! Order online and schedule pick up if you're a busy person or afraid they might be out of stock by the time you get to the store. Yes they do stop making it at certain time of the night. New York steaks bone-in: I buy a few packages of these and freeze half of them for later. I marinated them at home as well. When it's on sale - oh I'm coming for it! Nothing beats NY Steak! It's a lot cheaper than eating at a restaurant and I eat as much as I want!!! :) There's a Starbucks store inside this Albertson as well. This store is my favorite. Most of the staff here are nice. Some are not just as friendly. Deli always well organized and beautifully displayed! Besides carne asada and NY Steaks, I don't buy as much from the store. Parking can get wild on the weekends so be careful out there! It's inside a shopping area so it can get crowded in the parking. read more

Whoever is managing this place is not doing a great job especially the prices are so much higher than the competitors that are near them such as Ralphs, which is a block away. Their cost of their items are from 3 to 4 dollars so much higher than the prices at Ralph's for the same item. For example, six pack of Pacifico beer or $20 which other Ralphs are $12.99 and then they'll be on sale for $9.99 and ground turkey Jenn o was $20 which is 16.99 Wonder why this Albertson is so empty. read more

I often go here because it's a larger grocery store and has all the items that I need. There's a self checkout area where you can purchase items quickly and do not have to wait in a long line. There's always a staff there so if you are stuck he or she can help you out. I also like how they make their own baked goods here. Everyday there is fresh loaves of bread and it's quite delicious when you add garlic and b it term to it to make your own garlic bread. There's fresh florals here as well for gifts or for parties and I like how there's also stuffed animals and balloons that you can purchase as well. On site pharmacy and Starbucks at this location. A few areas that this store I feel needs improvement on is their display of pricing. Sometimes the products are put in the wrong section and when I go to self check out to scan it is a higher price. Also if you place an order here, sometimes the customer staff does not contact you for pick up. You have to be proactive and call this store OR go in to see if your order is ready. Need to improve on their communication. Also some staff can be extremely helpful and others aren't. Not much consistency here in staff at this location. I do like the manager Jeff at this location and he is a working manager as I've seen him stock and handle ordering of items as well. read more

Clean, Organized, and Always Stocked This Albertsons location has honestly become my go-to for quick and reliable grocery runs. It's always clean, well-lit, and very well-stocked--even during busy hours. What I love the most is how organized the layout is. You're not wandering around forever looking for basic items. Plus, the produce is always fresh, and I've never had issues with meat or dairy quality. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, especially at the self-checkout and deli section. Parking is also super convenient--right next to the entrance and rarely crowded. For anyone living in the area, this Albertsons is consistent, efficient, and easy to shop at. Definitely recommend it over the nearby alternatives. read more

Albertsons - Grocery Near Me - Irvine, California

I love going to an Irvine Albertsons because they always seem to have a mixture of western items and Asian items. I stopped by here on a rainy Saturday to pick up some items for a friendsgiving, and had a really pleasant time shopping here. They had a handful of variety for turkey sizes, and there were plenty in stock! This location has a Savon pharmacy and Starbucks inside. There's also a bouquet station that can put together floral arrangements for you. This store was well stocked, clean, and organized. The one downside is it seems like their carts are a little wonky. I actually came back the following day to pick up some additional items, and both days the carts I had were really difficult to use. Workers here are friendly and helpful. This location is in a busy shopping plaza, but there were plenty of parking for the grocery store. I also love how the produce is often fresh! read more

My son/daughter-in-law and 2 months old grandson were coming over from the Bay Area and I brought lots of food snacks and baby formula(Similac)from Albertsons. Then few days later they canceled the trip due to heat. So, I went to return the baby(Similac)formula that's was sealed and Cashier-Greer M. Mistreated me - asked for app on phone or receipt that I didn't have and explained her situation that my son canceled the plan to visit me that's the reason of return. She refused to help and called office staff and checked out other people. After the approval call, she issued a gift card with bad attitude towards me that ruined my day. She was doing this right in front of me talking to the person whos was next in line nicely. This type of behavior is insulting. read more

Pros + Ambiance: Clean + Hours: Opened at 8am today which worked out for me! If I'm not mistaken, they close at 11pm too. My friend said Costco opens at 10am (which seems late) Cons - Mostly self checkout. Likely related to the early hours and staffing shortage nationwide. If you're buying booze, you have to go to a checkout with a customer service rep! She was sweet and friendly. It was nice and lighthearted. read more

The worst. I was in the checkout line and asked my son to quickly go grab something I forgot (hydrogen peroxide) and the story had it LOCKED up. I just left without it and got it the next day at Ralph's. So dumb, it's Irvine for goodness sakes. A total waste of a customer's time. read more

F this store every one there is rude with attitude and when you don't want to go with a cashier they don't let you go with no one else you have to go with that person and they always only have one line open and it's always pack takes forever you there in line for a long time waiting everything about this store is horrible I wouldn't recommend you this store at all read more

The worst of unprofessional staffing! While I was reaching into my bag to pay for my items, Mathew the cashier approached me and checked me! repeatedly! When I questioned him, he said that he was doing his job! I said to do it discreetly and not annoyingly! He said "keep your nose into your business!" I asked him that what do you want? He did not respond! The Supremacy and sick minded men mistreat women to discriminate and compensate for their male insecurities! We rise and won't allow you! read more

I'm never shopping here again simply due to the fact that every single item is locked up. It takes forever to get someone, and when they finally come, you're rushed like you're inconveniencing the employees. Horrible store. This needs to stop. If you need to protect your items, get better security. This is not the way to do it. You're going to lose more money from shoppers not returning than whatever you think you're saving by locking everything up. read more

Whenever I'm in a pinch for time, and I need to snag flowers or snacks for the office or my class, I always find myself coming here. The aisles are neatly organized, and the employees always greet you with smiles and a positive attitude. Even during the pandemic, when things were really rough, all the employees were nothing but kind to the customers. And that goes a long way in my book. read more

What is wrong with this store?? I have been overcharged the last two times I've been there and today using the key kiosk - I paid for three keys and got two - neither of which actually work - and the store manager was like "oh well - not our problem." read more

Again, their sushi is not as they currently advertised. They have pictures in the window as you enter, to the. effect that it's new and improved. No, there's no avocado slice in the roll, rice is a combo of leftover and fresh and the fish is leftover, if not day old. At least there's no cottage cheese or green pepers like in the past. Love their filet mignon, lamb chops. Went Sunday afternoon and there was ONE register operator read more

I ordered a custom cake for the bakery for my daughter's birthday. It was Spider-Man themed, which was advertised on their website. They called to say the wrap around decoration wasn't available and if that was okay, and that We would get a discount for the change. We agreed. What they didn't say was that the icing would change from blue and yellow to just the brown chocolate frosting. As my husband was the one picking up the cake, he didn't know the original price and we found out they didn't give a discount. Super disappointing and will not be purchasing from the bakery again or shopping at this location. read more

Unfortunately this is the nearest grocery store for me. And unfortunately they sell mostly near expiration items. Often see .50 cent off "deals" for Christmas items in March. I've left self check out and deli departments after not getting service for over 5 minutes. I don't blame the workers however since I'm sure it's a terrible place to work. read more

Clean store, consistently fresh produce and meat/seafood, friendly employees, overall prices are a bit better than its major competitor in the area, well organized layout, and adequate parking. Bought 2 watermelons to chill at home on a 90F day. Sadly both Watermelons are not edible, smooshed inside. The salmon seems overpriced. For 4 small filets, just a little over 1lb, $36. Probably won't be coming back soon. read more

I recently went to buy wine and shrimp. The cashier was extremely rude to me and even grabbed my credit card out of my hand when the cc machine didn't read my card. It was the worst experience I've ever had, in hind sight I should have left the store without my purchase. When I got home, I had to toss the shrimp I bought because of the smell. I knew I'd be given a hard time If I tried to return it, so didn't even bother. The worst experience I have ever had in terms of customer service. Avoid buying any groceries here. read more

I love the layout of this store. Everything is easy to find, immaculately clean, and not crowded. There is a self checkout area, and I had no problems paying for my items. This store has a systemic pricing issue. Two visits in a row I didn't get correct discounts. The first time I let it go. The next time FOUR items were wrong ($12 difference!), including one 50%-off item charged at full price because it was wrong in the system and another one because the cashier just missed the big bright orange sticker altogether. She actually told me I should point the stickers out to her. Ma'am, not my job. You know what Ralphs does to make sure their cashiers can't miss the stickers? They stick them OVER THE OLD UPC CODES. When I was about to leave, the woman behind me tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, "This happens here all the time." Albertsons is also one of those stores that put entire aisles of things like shampoo behind barriers so you have to wait for an employee every time you want to look at something. Not gonna do it. Ralphs from here on out. read more

The bathroom is always disgusting . A homeless encampment is cleaner than the women's bathroom . I've seen fecal matter on the floor inside and outside the restroom on more than one occasion. It wasn't properly mopped outside . That's a health hazard. The store layout is dysfunctional. You can't find anything. If you need help finding something good luck trying to find an employee. The employees hide. There is never anyone at the fish counter. There no way to grab someone to get help. At least put a bell for customers to ring. read more

Not sure why this location has only 3 stars. Shout out to the staff for keeping everything clean and sanitized during these virulent times. I've been coming here since the start of the pandemic and feel safe knowing masks are required. Everything is kept pretty well in stock (yes, even toilet paper) and there's a good selection of toiletries too. It's pretty much a one stop shop for most of your grocery needs. Employees are friendly and have a good attitude despite working during a plague. Please be respectful and treat them with extra kindness as they're one of our many essential workers. Cheers to a better 2021! read more

Sterling and his assistant Steve in the wine & spirits department were just amazing! I went into the store to purchase the items on their $5 Friday special ad. Yet, they were out of the liquor choice on the ad, no lamb had been cut for their butcher special. But, leave it to Sterling, who took great care of me, substituting another brand of vodka to make my long trip up there worthwhile, and Steve, his assistant used to work in the butcher department and made sure to have them cut me more of the lamb that was on their Friday special. Otherwise I was told there out of lamb! I walked in there and was so angry to find they were out of the advertised specials, and I made 2 new friends, and bought way more groceries then I would have ever expected and loved finding this beautiful new store. I've been a Ralph's shopper only for convenience, but this trip sure enlightened me and I found a larger and much better stocked new store for myself. read more

Shout out to Carmen who is great, super helpful to the loyal customers. Most of the cashiers are neutral/pleasant, which is perfectly fine (I hate that fake "Chik-Fil- A" type friendliness) and some cashiers are downright rude. They seem annoyed to have to do their jobs and answer simple questions. Some of the ruder ones also work in the self checkout section, so for those wondering why I don't do self checkout to avoid them, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Some of the items on the shelf can be past the printed date, so be aware of that. Otherwise the store has a good selection of produce and packaged items. Sometimes sale items run out quickly, so if you're able, shop early. read more

Since I've moved to Irvine, Albertsons has been my main grocery provider since they have some pretty decent deals on produce and the butchery has been very informative. Located within the Cypress Village Shopping Center, the parking lot is spacious and the store is bright & clean. I usually walk through the produce side first since the bulk of my list can be found there. From green beans, brussel sprouts, salad packs to chopped vegetables, most are unblemished and have contributed to some amazing creations. The most memorable experience has been selecting meat for a bolognese sauce. I was looking at ground beef and the butcher happened to ask what I was planning to make. I voiced my thoughts and he suggested blending our meats, like 2:1 ratio of beef to pork, or choosing a fattier ground beef for flavor. His advice really helped step up my game and the bolognese...so bomb! The cashiers are also really nice and usually try to engage with a 'how are you?' or 'how was your day?' Sometimes other places go through the motions or you're kinda having a meh day, but I appreciate the gesture almost all the time. You learn new things, especially if they've got something good to say about what you bought, or affirming a selection you were curious to try. read more

Denise was oddly passive aggressive considering she's in a customer service role & I was in a customer role. As someone with experience behind the register, I would be very surprised if she was hired as a cashier. Maybe they're short staffed and pulled her from the back, but there's no need to have an attitude either way. The self checkout was open, but I try to give the stores a reason to keep a human working. read more

The cashiers can be terribly rude . And all entrances are blocked. You have to find the doors that are open then walk around a barricade of shopping carts then walk around the Starbucks and slip between Starbucks and cashiers to get in . Then if you want alcohol you have to find the undercover lady or manager to open the vault and have them walk you to the cashier . We are in Irvine not Compton ! grocery stores are one of those locations it is really hard for anyone to avoid going to. I do not know many people that love going to the grocery store. It is one of those things that you just have to do but you never really love doing it. This Albertsons is a prime example of that. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it or anything. But the people that are here sometimes are not always the best. And you don't want to have to always deal with so many people that are in the aisle when you were trying to purchase your things this place makes it a little bit difficult to find the rice as well. The rice is not in the same location where it typically is supposed to be. That makes a little bit hard. Plus the floors at this location are a little bit dirty. Many times I have gone in to purchase items that are on sale and they are frequently out. Also, the butcher department leaves a ton of fat on their meat. They will even try and hide the fat the way they package it. On the weekend, they often are out of a lot of products on the shelf. Tired of wasting my time. read more

This review is in regards to their bakery. Excellent customer service and the cake we purchased last minute was so darn good!!! I regularly shop at this Albertsons and have great experiences with the staff. On this particular day Michelle was my cashier and Stephanie bagged the groceries. Both went above and beyond the call of duty when I discovered I had pulled the wrong food item. They went out of their way to replace it quickly and without missing a beat. That takes talent, but it also takes a willingness to go the extra mile. Michelle and Stephanie turned an ordinary grocery trip into a really nice experience. read more
