I often go here because it's a larger grocery store and has all the items that I need. There's a self checkout area where you can purchase items quickly and do not have to wait in a long line. There's always a staff there so if you are stuck he or she can help you out. I also like how they make their own baked goods here. Everyday there is fresh loaves of bread and it's quite delicious when you add garlic and b it term to it to make your own garlic bread. There's fresh florals here as well for gifts or for parties and I like how there's also stuffed animals and balloons that you can purchase as well. On site pharmacy and Starbucks at this location. A few areas that this store I feel needs improvement on is their display of pricing. Sometimes the products are put in the wrong section and when I go to self check out to scan it is a higher price. Also if you place an order here, sometimes the customer staff does not contact you for pick up. You have to be proactive and call this store OR go in to see if your order is ready. Need to improve on their communication. Also some staff can be extremely helpful and others aren't. Not much consistency here in staff at this location. I do like the manager Jeff at this location and he is a working manager as I've seen him stock and handle ordering of items as well.

Clean, Organized, and Always Stocked This Albertsons location has honestly become my go-to for quick and reliable grocery runs. It's always clean, well-lit, and very well-stocked--even during busy hours. What I love the most is how organized the layout is. You're not wandering around forever looking for basic items. Plus, the produce is always fresh, and I've never had issues with meat or dairy quality. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, especially at the self-checkout and deli section. Parking is also super convenient--right next to the entrance and rarely crowded. For anyone living in the area, this Albertsons is consistent, efficient, and easy to shop at. Definitely recommend it over the nearby alternatives.

Is this a florist? Or a gift shop? Impressed with the selections at this Albertsons. One stop shopping for real! #beyondeggs #beyondasupermarket

Whenever I'm in a pinch for time, and I need to snag flowers or snacks for the office or my class, I always find myself coming here. The aisles are neatly organized, and the employees always greet you with smiles and a positive attitude. Even during the pandemic, when things were really rough, all the employees were nothing but kind to the customers. And that goes a long way in my book.

What is advertised on their site

I ordered a custom cake for the bakery for my daughter's birthday. It was Spider-Man themed, which was advertised on their website. They called to say the wrap around decoration wasn't available and if that was okay, and that We would get a discount for the change. We agreed. What they didn't say was that the icing would change from blue and yellow to just the brown chocolate frosting. As my husband was the one picking up the cake, he didn't know the original price and we found out they didn't give a discount. Super disappointing and will not be purchasing from the bakery again or shopping at this location.

I always freeze the extras and they toast back up very well in the toaster oven. The biggest downside is the wait time. There is almost always a line for Sangak Bread and it takes a while. While I was checking out, the cashier refused to help bag my groceries, even though I had opened my bags and was unable to both unload items onto the register and bag them at the same time. She told me, "I'm only a cashier, not a bagger," and left the items on top of my bags. In my experience, this is the only store where cashiers refuse to assist with basic bagging responsibilities. I always treat employees with respect and do not expect special treatment, but customers should also be treated with courtesy and professionalism. Unfortunately, after today, I will no longer shop here. There are other stores with good prices that provide much better customer service and respect their customers. For management's reference, basic cashier responsibilities include: * Safely and efficiently bagging customer purchases * Organizing heavy and fragile items appropriately * Separating raw meat, food, and cleaning chemicals * Considering customer preferences * Providing efficient and courteous service Management should address this issue and ensure that customer service standards are consistently followed.

Though it does have the smallest of food courts, I really enjoy their fruit snd veggie layout - it's nice and easier to navigate. I also prefer their seafood and sushi here more than other locations. I do think other locations have a larger variety of certain things, but for some reason, this one feels more authentic. In most of these locations, the service is not the best, but I'm not coming here for the best. If you're on the lookout for some asian inspired food, unique fruits and veggies, things specific to south Korea, I would come here and I'd start with this location, as it's better than the other ones in my opinion.

As we were waiting in the checkout line to finish our purchase, a non-Asian guy behind us tried to get my buddy to buy his drink for him. My buddy said no and the non-Asian guy said it was a joke. He then proceeded to being racist and called my buddy Chinese as an assumption. He then made remarks about China. My buddy told him to not be racist and the non-Asian guy got defensive and started shouting profanity at him. Afterward, we left H-Mart and he continued to follow us for a bit and continued to argue with my buddy (stalking and verbal harassment). His action proves that he was drunk, racist, and violent. I do not recommend going to this H-Mart as an Asian girl. Because if a non-Asian guy can do that to an Asian guy, he can do that to anyone. H-Mart needs to teach their employees to intervene rather than be bystanders. Otherwise, they need to hire security.

The staff said only two rice dishes were available, the ones on the front. When I asked again when the items on the sign would be available, nothing on the sign was available. The sign looks attractive, but it is not real. It confuses customers and should not be there. I ended up getting 2 sushi boxes to go instead. The sushi was just ok. My wife said compared to the sushi at Ralphs, this one needs improvement. This is a good, nice supermarket. The sushi bar just needs to match what its sign promises.

It is a Japanese grocery store with a food court. In the grocery store, they had everything Japanese-Asian that you might want or need. They also had convenient hot and cold pre-packed food for on-the-go meals, like sushi, dim sum, rice bowls, and various katsu. We took advantage of that and had a nice lunch. We ate at Don Don Tei located in the food court. Good food with generous portions. Overall, great store and food court! Will definitely be back when in the area.

Having been to other Mitsuwa locations, especially the one in Torrance, I found this store to be very cramped and dark by comparison. I also had trouble finding many of the items I normally buy at Mitsuwa--they simply didn't seem to be stocked on the shelves. The prepared foods were another disappointment. The selection didn't seem nearly as appealing or extensive as what I've found at the Torrance location. I ended up picking up a few things, but was surprised to find that they were more expensive than similar items at another Japanese grocery store in the area, which I visited afterward. Overall, I'd choose the Torrance location over Irvine based on this visit. The Irvine store just didn't have the selection, atmosphere, or value I've come to expect from Mitsuwa.

There are aunties offering samples throughout the market. My only complaint about this location much like the other newer locations is with how large the floor plan is you can tell that they put the same items in multiple areas just to ensure that everything looks fully stocked and they're making use of all the space. It can get pretty overwhelming and at times just frustrating to actually locate a specific item that you're looking for. Today I spoke with Tommy and gave him the customer's name for the order I was picking up. After waiting about 10 minutes, he came back out and asked me for the same name again. It was confusing and didn't inspire much confidence that anyone knew where the order was or what was going on. I understand stores get busy, but this feels more like a General Management issue than a staffing issue. When operations are consistently backed up and disorganized, that responsibility falls on leadership. A good manager steps in, rolls up their sleeves, and helps get things back on track. If you're ordering delivery or planning a pickup, I'd strongly recommend choosing another Albertsons or a nearby Ralphs instead. This location seems to struggle with basic order management, and unfortunately it shows.
