My wife loves to buy from their bulk area. She's always using the ingredients to make us something awesome in the kitchen. I went there yesterday when picking up out-of-town guests from the airport for a work meeting. We stopped by to pick up some water or other beverages, along with snacks, for three days of work meetings. I haven't needed to use the customer service team yet, though there are plenty of staff members available should I need anything. There is also plenty of parking nearby to make it easy to park, head inside to pick up items, and then take off by using a self-checkout counter or an aisle with a staff member working as a cashier. I recall visiting Safeway, and Albertsons had their annual Monopoly game way back when, and then the Flavor Adventure through the app a few years ago, too. While I haven't used the curbside pickup at this location, I know it is offered here. I do have a membership for FreshPass (which I got this past year at the 50% off promotion). There are great sales from the weekly doorbuster sales to daily promotions to Friday or weekend promotions to general sales prices. The cashier was an Asian woman working at Register/Checkout Lane #3, as confirmed by the supervisor. This was actually the second time I have encountered the same cashier, and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The first time, we purchased a large number of items. After scanning our purchases, she placed the items to the side and left us to bag everything ourselves. Even after the transaction was completed, there were still many items left to bag. She had already finished the checkout and had time to stand there waiting for us, but she did not offer to help. Today, we encountered her again. We actually tried to avoid having her check us out, but she ended up being our cashier again. Once again, she did not help us bag our purchases. We stood there waiting, and she simply stood there as well. Eventually, she told us, "You can just put them in there," making it clear that she expected us to do the bagging ourselves. I would like to ask: How are your cashiers trained in customer service? Is assisting customers with bagging not part of the expected customer service at your store? What concerns me even more is her overall attitude. There was no smile, no attempt to communicate with us, and no effort to provide basic customer service. I understand that different stores may have different policies regarding bagging, but basic courtesy and customer service should still be expected from someone working directly with customers. I have now encountered this employee twice, and both times I have had the same experience. If this continues to happen every time I come to your store, I will continue to report it. In my opinion, someone who consistently shows no warmth, makes no effort to communicate with customers, and does not provide basic customer service may simply not be suited for a customer-facing position. I hope management will take this complaint seriously, review the situation, and look into how this employee is being trained and whether she is meeting your store's customer service standards.

If Linda wants to take her job so seriously, maybe she should move to produce and deal with the moldy fruit and rotten vegetables that sit on the shelves here instead of harassing paying customers.
