I'm very picky but I met Princess Tuazon 2 years ago through friends and she has been doing an amazing job with their hair and so I got curious and took chance to get my hair done & ever since she became my hair & make up artist. She has always done an amazing job & enjoy her comforting personality. Fast forward to today, I went to visit her and get my hair done at Célia's Salon, she started working here for couple months now. The place is gorgeous and everyone there are very friendly. I was kind of skeptical going in any salon due of COVID19 but this place definitely takes my worries away. They observed social distancing and everyone was wearing masks at all times. And I tipped $20 for $280. Yet when I complained that it felt like a ripoff bacuse the work was so poor, he invented this new story that: (1) I received a "retouch on my roots" that I should have paid extra for (2) in a perfect world I should pay EXTRA (WHAT?) for bringing my own dye in (because Arctic Fox is so controversial??!?) (3) that "the area is expensive" (4) that apparently i need an ongoing longterm relationship to have a dye job that doesn't leave me feeling ripped off (5) that "we always have free dialog" so that "you can alawys get alterations to your service complimentary of course" -- this is the biggest sticking point. Oh really? You have a dialog for complimentary alterations? When I messaged my complaint directly on Yelp, there was no response. The same inbox that booked my appointments suddenly went silent. Why was I not offered free alterations if I don't like my service? BECUASE THAT'S A STORY YOU TELL ONLY ON YELP. THAT OPTION WAS NEVER GIVEN TO ME. This is a man who tells one story to the public, and another in private. Personally, I call that LYING and DISHONEST. ---- He then said "i DID WHAT WAS NEEDED" to explain a bad job that was unsatisfying. So was MICROWAVING FISH AND EATING IT IN FRONT OF ME needed? Because most of the work wasn't even done by you, it was done by a subordinate. Anyone with 1/2 a brain should be able to see the level of ego just dripping off his response. Now go look at the other people with unsatisfied balayages. They were smart enough to take pictures and you can see how terrible some of them are. I'm tempted to go dig up my pictures. ORIGINAL REVIEW: tbh i won't be returning after that $280 dye job + cut where you used the scissor to make like 2 cuts, and where i had visible roots walking out of the place, where it was obvious y'all just wanted me to go because you closed up afterward and were rushing me out. Yeah... as friendly as y'all were ... Visible roots?!?!? No discount for bringing my own dye? Literally every time a friend has come to my house i've had less roots than the one time i paid So what was the point of paying? There was none. I had a wedding emergency and a friend who stole hair products from me. I had no choice but to find SOMEBODY that day. Everyone loves my hair, but i feel ripped the f off. P.S. I don't need to go to no fancy hairdresser. Finally, after lots of attempts, the Honey got me to go to Blaine. This is what she told him: " your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make him look younger, thinner and with more hair." "what is he?" I asked her " a hair dresser or a freakin witch doctor?" So now, for the first time since about 1982, I am sporting a new hairdo. I actually kind of like it. And I really like Blaine. 1) Super location in the Palisades, free on street parking minutes from Georgetown. 2) Blaine is a really cool fun guy and he told me lots of stuff I did not know - like how hair gel has alcohol in it and I need to use water based paste, and if I wear my hair longer on top you see the bald bits better, so shorter on top actually makes you look like you have more hair. 3) Only $40 for the haircut, which took almost one hour, so it is actually more value for me than the $15 10 minute quickies I was used to. 4) Oh yeah - the new do - well, I like it. I walked in this salon with chunky blonde highlights, horribly cut bangs and a choppy haircut from a previous salon in Clarendon (No it was not a Jon David Salon) I asked Naz to bring me back closer to my natural soft brown hair with a red undertone and she did just that. Naz was able to thoughtfully consult with me about my hair goals and analyze my natural wavy texture. I was amazed how diligent she was and she did not rush through the haircut which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, the woman that shampooed my hair had hands of a goddess giving the best scalp massage. The woman at the front desk was kind and attentive to all the customers.
