It looks like they put a bowl on my head, shaved everything below it, then clocked out for lunch. I didn't get a fade--I got a cliff. The transition from hair to skin is more sudden than my will to live after seeing the back of my head. The barber skipped "blending" and went straight to "good enough." My haircut looks like a medieval monk and a mushroom had a baby. I asked for texture, not a helmet. The sides are so high I can probably hear Wi-Fi signals now. I walked outside and birds started trying to land on my head. My own reflection hit me with a "bro... what happened?" Even my mom, who usually says, "It'll grow back," had to leave the room because she couldn't stop laughing. I showed my friends and one of them asked if I lost a bet. Another asked if my barber was using Microsoft Paint as a reference photo. At this point, I'm not waiting for my hair to grow--I'm waiting for a formal apology. The only reason this gets one star is because zero stars wasn't an option. Supercuts didn't just cut my hair... they cut my confidence, my dignity, and about three inches higher than I asked.

I have what would be considered dirty blonde hair and Jamie recommended balayage at my previous hair cut appointment. I spoke to friends who'd had balayage and an old stylist from where I used to live so decided to do it and told Jamie I wanted to go blonde blonde. She said yeah she's going to do that. When she started blow drying my hair I said it doesn't look much different and she responded that it'd keep getting lighter over the next few weeks, that to get to the color I wanted it'd take multiple appointments (something she didn't mention until I pointed out there was no change) and insisted she saw a big difference. (Side note: she started curling my hair, I asked her not to and she continued anyway which I thought was weird and in hindsight probably done to distract from the fact my hair looked almost the same) I gave it a month and it didn't get any lighter. Not a single person noticed I had my hair done and after $410 ($500 with tip) that was really disappointing. She ended up letting me come in to have it redone free of charge and what do you know it lightened several shades to exactly what I wanted. So much of a difference I seriously have trouble believing a lighter shade couldn't be achieved after one treatment like she said (friends and internet research agrees with me). I probably wouldn't be leaving this review if that was it but she was really rude and kind of scolded me at the end and told me no stylist would do this for free, that lightening to a noticeable difference is only possible after 2 treatments, and that hair doesn't actually lighten after unless you're in the sun. Everything she said contradicted itself so it was really confusing and misleading plus her attitude was crap. I obviously won't be going back and would not recommend this stylist to anyone. The salon is nice and the other stylists seem friendly though

Gerard listened to exactly what I wanted, was thorough in his execution, and I left feeling very happy - definitely NOT "meh". :) For reference, I had a partial highlight and haircut. My color may not look complex, but I am very particular about having my highlights blend naturally (zero demarcation line) and Gerard totally delivered on this.
