When I have had to have my hair blown dry in a different city, the hairdresser inevitably states that they love the color, a compliment hairdressers rarely give each other since most would like to have the client return to them. The salon is impeccably clean, and mask wearing is required. The prices are definitely not unreasonable as one reviewer stated, and I doubt any salon in Georgetown, Bethesda, or downtown DC would be less. She is 100% up front about pricing, and has never up sold me. If Celia moves again, I will follow her wherever she ends up.

She has always done an amazing job & enjoy her comforting personality. Fast forward to today, I went to visit her and get my hair done at Célia's Salon, she started working here for couple months now. The place is gorgeous and everyone there are very friendly. I was kind of skeptical going in any salon due of COVID19 but this place definitely takes my worries away. They observed social distancing and everyone was wearing masks at all times. And I tipped $20 for $280. Yet when I complained that it felt like a ripoff bacuse the work was so poor, he invented this new story that: (1) I received a "retouch on my roots" that I should have paid extra for (2) in a perfect world I should pay EXTRA (WHAT?) for bringing my own dye in (because Arctic Fox is so controversial??!?) (3) that "the area is expensive" (4) that apparently i need an ongoing longterm relationship to have a dye job that doesn't leave me feeling ripped off (5) that "we always have free dialog" so that "you can alawys get alterations to your service complimentary of course" -- this is the biggest sticking point. Oh really? You have a dialog for complimentary alterations? When I messaged my complaint directly on Yelp, there was no response. The same inbox that booked my appointments suddenly went silent. Why was I not offered free alterations if I don't like my service? BECUASE THAT'S A STORY YOU TELL ONLY ON YELP. THAT OPTION WAS NEVER GIVEN TO ME. This is a man who tells one story to the public, and another in private. Personally, I call that LYING and DISHONEST. ---- He then said "i DID WHAT WAS NEEDED" to explain a bad job that was unsatisfying. So was MICROWAVING FISH AND EATING IT IN FRONT OF ME needed?
