This is what she told him: " your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make him look younger, thinner and with more hair." "what is he?" I asked her " a hair dresser or a freakin witch doctor?" So now, for the first time since about 1982, I am sporting a new hairdo. I actually kind of like it. And I really like Blaine. 1) Super location in the Palisades, free on street parking minutes from Georgetown. 2) Blaine is a really cool fun guy and he told me lots of stuff I did not know - like how hair gel has alcohol in it and I need to use water based paste, and if I wear my hair longer on top you see the bald bits better, so shorter on top actually makes you look like you have more hair. 3) Only $40 for the haircut, which took almost one hour, so it is actually more value for me than the $15 10 minute quickies I was used to. 4) Oh yeah - the new do - well, I like it. I feel like a new man. The funniest bloody thing was when I came home and the kids saw me, without knowing where I had gone, Thing 2 goes " OhmiGod Dad - did you actually go to see Blaine to get your haircut?"
