I understand that this is kind of a last option place but in the world of COVID most places aren't…read moredoing pick ups. However, if I'm paying for a service then I expect to have my furniture taken if it's in respectable shape. The deal is $40 to pick up your items, in my case it was a fairly used mattress but clean. Perfectly good for someone who really needs a bed. They arrived, glanced at the mattress and decided that it was not worthy of their outstanding services. I asked if they could take the box spring and they said yes despite that being in worse shape than the mattress. I asked if they would call about a payment that I could process via my card but instead the employees stated "You can just pay us in cash." I regret paying them at all as it wasn't worth the time and certainly wasn't worth the money. All around wouldn't recommend this place if you're trying to get rid of a mattress as they'll only accept it if it is in pristine brand new condition.

If you buy from these people you're getting back to the world. As an owner of an old home I have learned all of the Habitat for Humanity secrets on how to buy around here. Albany really isn't all that affordable when compared to all of the other habitats I've been to hear and in Austin Texas. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't show up here at the Albany store. You can always find a gem at any of these stores. But I'll give you some helpful hints the store in Corvallis it's a place you should go for outdoor supplies. They don't have a shabbie list of shelving either. The Habitat for Humanity in Salem is known for having the best quality Electronics. Name brand machines like whirlpool and Maytag for a mere $30 you could walk out with a dishwasher a Whirlpool dishwasher and I have. I still have it 2 years later. Not bad. One of my first washing machines and dryers came from a Habitat for Humanity. I paid $10 for the washer and $10 for the dryer and they lasted me 10 years. I know what I'm talking about. The only one I'm not crazy about is the one in Lebanon but I think it's because it's so small. I think it would be a great place to go shop for knick knacks or cute antiques. Habitat doesn't just sell housing supplies they sell household as well. They also have customs sales every day of the week. 50% off for veterans 25% off lighting you just got to catch the right day and you're saving mad cash! Much of the stuff is so old and had less than half its life left. Plus you have to hunt for what you are looking for (unlike at a regular retail store). Time is money and it takes longer to find useful items here. The head cashier (manager?) and the guy in the back (with an eastern European accent) is always so grumpy. Everyone else I've interacted with have been nice though. Wish I had better experiences coming in here because I like to support local and repurpose things and keep them from going to the landfill.

The woman that came to the car was extremely rude and said what did you get all this stuff at a garage sale? She hand picked through everything and only took the items that she wanted and was acting really inappropriate for the fact that we were giving them a bunch of free stuff that they could sell and make money. We will never go back there. We will never donate to it again And will tell all of our friends not to donate there or go there because of this woman.

We were both amazed at the sheer size of the store. They have a great selection of books, clothes, household items, furniture, and much more. I found a pair of Nike workout pants for $4.99, several books, and a couple shirts for my husband. We spent less than $15 for everything. Employees were all very sweet and helpful. I needed to try on jeans, and there was an employee nearby. She told me the item limit in the dressing room, as well as asking me to lock and close the door when I was done. It's a store I will definitely go back to when I am in this area because of great selections, prices, and friendly employees.

I learned so much and was mesmerized by the birds. The Chimintini Wildlife Center is doing amazing work for all sorts of species of wild animals in the area, and by booking a tour you're not only signing up for an awesome experience and expanding your knowledge of these critical birds, but you're supporting the center's work caring for these birds and many more species that may come into the center. All the birds taken care of here are injured or otherwise wouldn't be able to survive in the wild, so the center uses them for educational tours.
