I've lived in this city for 8 years and had stopped here a time or two but with not many places to park we would never go in. Finally today was the day. My 10 year old and I went in to pass some time. We found a ramen Disney Stitch bowl for $3.00. A handful of shirts for $0.50 each! My daughter found a Disney Frozen snuggie. We found a bathing suit for the 2 year old we babysit 3 days a week. We found her a baby shark cup. My daughter found a few pajama pants too. Definitely worth stopping in. It's dirty and I had to climb over shit to get around, kinda feels like a hoarder's storage unit. There where some real characters in there too, I think they maybe worked there, but I couldn't be sure. We did find some oddball items tho. Prices are REALLY cheap, so that's worth it. Just not the best quality merchandise and you gotta be willing to dig and get dusty. We walked away with an arm load of stuff for $6 or $9 total. Plus the guy gave me this for free! read more

I'm seriously in love with this store. The staff were amazing, and the relationships that they built with their customers are the sweetest. Don't even get me started on these prices though! Walking in, I was expecting the usual; used, overpriced, seven dollar tee shirts. To my surprise, tees were only 75 cents! Needless to say, I left with an armful of clothes for less than 6 bucks. This store is one of my new favorite thrift stores in the Corvallis/Albany area :) on my most recent trip I found a denim dress with pockets, a matching jacket and skort set, a dress and suit jacket set, and some Christmas socks for my dog all for under $7. On a past trip I've picked up records (they're free) and even a 50 cent bright yellow skirt. If you're looking for a great deal check out this store (their free section and bargain corner are even cheaper) and you'll be sure to find some unique clothing pieces. They also have a ton of holiday decor and cooking items like mugs and crock pots. It's not the most organized but if you're ready to dig through stuff then this is a good place for you. read more

Very low prices. The building is quite large and they have a lot of stuff. But there is a bunch of garbage laying around too. Just piles of garbage laying here and there. Things were not that well organized but ok. read more

I have shopped here for many years but my last visit wasn't the best. Their prices are higher then they should be and if they need to sell the outside furniture then it needs to be priced better. Nothing outside is marked so they can come up with any outrageous price they want. The guy behind the counter wouldn't budge on the price. All of their items are donated and their workers are not paid all volunteers. Not sure if I'm going to go back any time in the future. I didn't see not one female worker in the store that day either... I think that was weird. read more

this is an amazing thrift store with outrageously low prices! there are two parts to the store: the main, well lit area is filled with some antiquities, clothes, and bric-a-brac while the home goods section is off to the left, and isn't as well lit and is fairly cold. in the home goods section, they have an okay selection of furniture with lots of desks and dining room tables, a few good pieces of couches, arm chairs, love seats. they have a good housewares section. their mugs are $0.25 each, and most household goods are fairly low priced as well. they have a wide variety of plate sets and utensils. i think that parts of the home goods section could stand to be more organized, but there is a lot there. they have lots of cutesy, retro knick-knacks in the main part of the store. i haven't looked through their clothing, books, and movies yet. this section is fairly well organized, and the knick-knacks are even organized, sometimes by color or theme! i'm not sure if they deliver furniture, but it never hurts to ask! also, the profits from this thrift store go to support the albany helping hands homeless shelter. read more

I have been a customer of the Helping Hands thrift Store for about a year or so and have really enjoyed my hunt there. However, the last two times I shopped there and went to purchase my items that I spent time looking for and picking out, the person working behind the cash register has questioned the price on the item and then not allowed me to purchase them. According to his thought and judgement they were not marked properly and shouldn't be sold for prices marked. He felt that the items were worth more than they were marked. These two trips into the store have been so uncomfortable that I will no longer donate or shop in the store. It's too bad that can't place him in the back marking the items and then let someone else actually sell the items to the customers up front. . Sorry to send in remarks that are negative but Kmart, Walmart and even Ross Dress for Less sells new stuff for cheaper prices than the new guy behind the register. read more

Hands down, the BEST thrift store in the Albany, Lebanon, Corvallis area! The prices are what you expect from a thrift store unlike the 2 "biggie" thrift stores in Albany. The employees are always friendly and willing to help you out. I have always been a recessionista before there was ever such a term and when I do my thrift store rounds, Albany Helping Hands is the first one we always go to and is usually the only one we end up going to. Great prices, friendly staff, clean store, (doesn't look like it's been hit by a tornado like Goodwill or St. Vinnie's) and 100% non-profit. All the money that is profit goes right back in to helping educate the homeless, get them jobskills so they can get out of the situation and help take care of them till they are in a position to be able to do so. You can't go wrong with helping an organization like that! If it weren't for Albany Helping Hands Thrift Store, I would have no furniture in my house. You have got to check this place out! read more

I have to say I was treated horribly not by every employee ,some were very helpful. However the manager, the person down from her and then a girl that works there were terrible. I had called yesterday and was told what the price is going to be for a piece of furniture today. I came more than 45 miles away to pick it up today and they told me that they were not going to honor the price . After I asked for them to call the manager the manager did not want to honor the price though I was told on the phone exactly what the price is going to be. After several minutes the manager text a girl and says to go down a little bit then I told her I was getting it for a friend in the friend only gave me a certain amount she said she would honor the price that I had asked for originally within $5 then I said I was going to go and get a bigger vehicle I'd be right back call and tell him I'm on my way they tell me that it's now not going to be the price they said it's it going to be more and I asked her why she didn't really have a reason so pretty much it was a huge run around for nothing I don't really know why they would do this that was my first and last time that I'm ever going to go in that store I don't recommend it at all read more
