One of Albany's greatest gems! I visit ReStyle probably once a week and I'm always warmly greeted by one of their employees. Megan, the manager is SO kind, knowledgeable and offers fabulous customer service. My experience at ReStyle is always nothing short of exceptional. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years now and the group of ladies that are a part of the current team go above and beyond. They are welcoming, attentive, personable and it is obvious they genuinely care about my experience in their store. I typically walk away not only with some fantastic finds but also with a newfound appreciation for this hidden gem in our town. The prices on the consignment items are reasonably priced and I feel as though items they take from me when I submit for consignment equals a fair payout. The household and décor items seem carefully curated, reflecting a keen eye for style and quality. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of quality goods and outstanding service. Hmm...This is a hard review to write. The store is beautifully decorated and they have very nice clothing and accessories. The prices are slightly higher than most consignment shops but it is higher end establishment. My only negative really was that I didn't feel "welcomed" by the staff. They were busy working on their inventory, and so on. They weren't rude or anything, just not engaging. I appreciate a higher level of service to make my shopping experience more enjoyable. They do offer coupons in the Savvy Savor (which I appreciate). I'm sure I'll be back. read more

I had been wanting to stop in here for a while and finally got a chance the other day. I will definitely be coming back! Their resale area had nice clothes, but it also looks like they carry new clothes too. The shop was clean, decorated adorably and the staff were friendly and welcoming even though they were busy unpacking items. Some things seemed more on the expensive end, but I think that's what to expect in a shop like this. Very cute items and I am excited to keep coming back to see what's new! read more

I am a regular customer of this store, and I spend a lot of money here monthly. I purchased a pair of croc boots that were marked size 8 which is what I wear all day long. I go home which is less than a mile away, put on new t-shirt and the boots and the boots are clearly not labeled correctly not just small but WAY TOO SMALL. I jump back into car to return for an IN STORE CREDIT, I was told no the ONLY way was to consign them. I literally left 20 minutes earlier! I was so angry I left the shoes and said I will never shop here again. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT YOUR NEIGHBOR. read more

I am taking away some stars here because EVERY time I go in there is an issue with the amount I am charged. I have been charged full price for half off items, I have been charged ($86!) for items that I did not buy (this was cleared up but still a bit disconcerting) and I have had items flat out ring up for more than the amount on the price tag. Once I even made it to the car and thought I should double check just in case and what do you know! The price was wrong. As a bystander I watched a woman buy an item and afterward she realized it was not the price she thought. She wanted to exchange and the worker told her "Sorry. No exchanges". That poor woman was so bewildered! "But I haven't left the store" ... "I am sorry but the price on the tag is what I charged you and we do not do returns". There is either a computer issue or a training issue here. Either way, it makes me nervous. I will say this: The owner is always very nice and absolutely great! read more

I recently took clothing to this store to try and support a newish local business. I was dismayed to find that the staff was vaguely snobby and had about as much personality as a table napkin. I took in an entire bag of nice business clothes and designer jeans, of which only two items were taken along with a purse. I hoped for some insight as to why my designer jeans were not acceptable for them to attempt to resell but no comment was provided. In fact, as I tried to gain the sales person's attention, she actually turned around and left me to go back to her work when it was clear that I had questions I was about to ask. Upon walking around the store, however, it became clear as to why my items were not wanted. In a store nearly entirely full of clothes from door to dressing rooms, there was a meager rack bearing about 7 pair of jeans in my size (27). The same size limitation appeared to exist in all other aspects of the store from dresses and shirts to sweaters. The size range in the store appears to be great for pre-teen and under and for size 10 and above. There was literally not one thing in the store that I could have even tried on due to the odd gap in sizing. To top it off, clothes smelled bad, showed stains and rips and were priced as high as if sold new. Do not waste your time unless you like rude sales people, smelly clothes or absolutely nothing between size zero and size ten to try on. read more

I have had great, consistent experiences at this store, by far my favorite resale establishment in the valley. ReStyle always has fresh, well chosen choices at extremely reasonable and competitive prices. The merchandise is generally branded, like new and immaculate. I have never walked out empty handed. The staff is friendly, helpful and genuine. Management is quick to address and handle professionally any inquiries. As a consigner, the process is easy, and I'm able to keep track of the account online at anytime without having to call the store. I HIGHLY recommend a visit, you will be pleased. read more

I noticed when trying clothes on in the dressing room I looked really good in the mirror and I was complementing myself on how good I looked after I'd lost a few pounds. I suspect there's something going on with the mirrors in there.I noticed it at the time and was going to ask a sales person but forgot when I checked out. When I got home and tried on the clothes they looked awful. Of course there's no return policy! Several months ago I bought a beautiful, long black open cardigan. When I got home I was very dismayed to see there was a very long "run" in the stitching that ran down one side. Again no return policy. This makes me very sad because I do like their clothes and have made several purchases here. I'm not sure if I'll go back. read more

On my Christmas list this year was a red Vera Bradley purse. I didn't get it. So, today I went to a store where I had seen it in the window. I found it on a shelf and was disappointed in the price, $88.00. I left-too much for me. I went to Albany looking for a sweater, and to my surprise-there was the red purse at Restyle (just like new). Price was $42.00. My coupon brought it down to $36.00. Happy with my red purse and the savings! read more

I LOVE this shop and have frequented it in the past. I LOVE the new store, but I will have to agree with Lisa J., the review before mine. The young girls working in the new store are NOT personable and ignore you when you come in. They were too busy talking about their private lives to even recognize that I had come in. I even said hello loud enough to be heard and was totally ignored. I miss the personable-ness of the old store. :( Hopefully our posts will make a difference, because I like this place and want to continue being a customer. read more

From the first time I used Restyle Resale I was frustrated. I take great care when choosing my items for resale. When I sort my clothes I usually have a "Goodwill" pile and a "Resale" pile. That said, I felt like RR was really inconsistent on what they would take and what they wouldn't take. I even questioned the owner's husband as to how it's determined what they will and will not take and how the employees (have always been young women) are trained as to know what sells (they passed on my leather-practically brand new ((with boxes)) Steve Madden pumps & peep toes) and he didn't really have an answer for me. I continued to use them because I wasn't sure where else in the area would sell used clothes but each time I went in I left frustrated. At one point they informed me they were no longer taking certain "too common" brands aka "less expensive". I found myself combing my closets looking for things I could sell even though I wouldn't have gotten rid of them otherwise. I brought in items that they donated that I specifically asked for back if they didn't sell. Like the other reviews, I have always found their employees to act stuck up, distracted and unwilling to go out of their way (ie customer service). They change their mind on whether they want you to stay and wait for them to go through the items or to leave them and inconvenience you to have to come back and pick them up. The last time I went in was the latter and I probably had a total of six items. I even asked her to go through them and she said she was "too busy". There was one customer in the store, she had a co-worker and there was no one at the front counter. They did call me and let me know to pick up the "rejected" items and I was appalled to find they "rejected" a pair of buttery leather black pointy toed boots - they were recently re-soled and the leather was perfect. They were a common size 7, it's Fall season, the zipper worked and they were from Nordstrom. I could find no reason why they would reject them. I ended up giving them away and my colleague was super excited to get them and they looked adorable on her. Their loss, her gain. That was the final straw. I just am sick of dealing with them and being frustrated every time I walk out their doors! The only reason I give two stars is because you do get a decent return on your items. btw - the last time I checked their Facebook page they mentioned that they got a Louis Vuitton bag in... is it possible RR is getting too big for their britches? read more
