My cousin and I made a last-minute reservation at the establishment in question and I would like to provide a candid assessment of our experience. It is important to note that this venue is primarily a bar, and not a restaurant per se. Unfortunately, the food was quite underwhelming. We selected the Spicy Toro, which had an overly fishy taste and contained cartilage in nearly every bite. The Prosciutto Focaccia Di Recco was the highlight of our meal, impressively crafting a focaccia flatbread with parmesan and prosciutto. For our fritti, we opted for Calamari and Zucchini Flowers. The Calamari was overly breaded and chewy, while the Zucchini Flowers were passable at best. The accompanying sauce for the latter was overpowering and detracted from the dish's subtle flavors. Of the four items we sampled, only the Prosciutto Focaccia Di Recco was noteworthy. However, the drinks were expertly prepared. We ordered a Calabrese, which had a mezcal-inspired profile, and an Aperol Spritz, which was quite enjoyable. In conclusion, while the establishment primarily functions as a bar, we were disappointed with the food quality, particularly given their association with Cucina Alba. We would only recommend this venue for drinks. read more
