Cabin

Generally loved our experience at the Alaskan Inn! The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included, which was perfect for starting the day. Clean rooms and cute cabins. It's positively dreamy during the winter or spring. The jet tub in the room is on the older side - not keeping the water hot for long and the jets are slower. Huge, comfortable bed. Love the twinkle lights outside. Definitely would recommend this getaway! And it's close to downtown Ogden if you want to go out to eat. Thank you!

We rode here from park city on motorcycles for a "staycation"..... SO glad we found this gem, I did NOT want to leave. Beautiful room called "gold rush" in the main lodge. Super clean, modern and cozy. The front desk guy was great and accommodating. Rooms include breakfast that you pre order at check in and then it is delivered to you when you call and let them know you're ready for it. There is nothing really near by within walking distance, but plenty of options that are drivable- either in Eden or Ogden. Make a cocktail and sit by the river with a cozy propane fire pit. A must visit!!!!

This is a cute, rustic hotel in the heart of Ogden canyon. One side of the hotel faces the road and mountainside while the other side faces the river. When you select your room or cabin, you can opt for which side you'd like. My wife and I stayed in the Gold Rush room, which faces the water. We opened the window at night to get some fresh air and cool off the room since we struggled to get the AC to work. It was nice to have the scent of the mountain air flow in. The hotel is Alaskan themed with rustic cabin walls, a deer mounted in the lobby and mountain themed furniture. It's cozy and quaint. There were a few things that made the stay slightly less comfortable such as no fitted sheet on the bed-chasing the sheet all night every time you move isn't a fun way to slumber. We had a hard time getting the AC to work and were very hot all night. The breakfast was ok, although it was pretty cold. I can appreciate that it's hard to prepare several different meals all around the same time, but cold biscuits and gravy is a bummer. Overall, this is in a beautiful location, which carries a lot of the appeal for the Alaskan Inn. I will probably drive a bit further up the road and pitch a tent at the nearby campground when I want to return and explore the area.

I was on a work trip and found this inn very close to where I needed to be early in the morning. I stayed here on a week night and arrived around 6pm to check in. I might have been the only guest in the main building and think they have about 10 rooms on the first floor. The inn is located right in Ogden Canyon and gorgeous views driving into the canyon, with rushing water through the river and a few waterfalls spouting water. Check in was easy and the attendant was nice and pleasant. I asked if he could recommend a sunset hike, and he provided me with an info sheet with local hikes. Breakfast is complimentary here and probably the nicest service I have seen in a long time. The attendant takes your order and breakfast is brought to your room from 7am - 10am. I called in the morning at 6:40am and breakfast came at 7:10am. It's a nice spread and the hospitality was old school, which I enjoyed. A few things were off about my stay. First, I could not get wifi in my room. It wasn't the end of the world as I was only staying for one night, and it helped me to just disengage. Second, there were two heaters in the room, and I could not find the remote for the second more modern heater. I did really enjoy the nice big bathtub and can see this coming in handy on a very cold Utah night after a day skiing. Bed was super comfy, and sheets were very crisp, the way I like them. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I think if I wasn't on a work trip, I'd come back again and stay here and just unplug for a while.

Girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple days. Cabin was cute and cozy. Staff were friendly. Had tried to contact them before we stayed via phone, website and Facebook got no reply. Their website needs a bit of work too. More online presence would do them good. Food was yummy. All around a good experience. With communication was better. Will come back.

I love love LOVE the Alaskan Inn! I truly can't say enough good things about this place. You can choose to stay in a private cabin or in one of their newer rooms inside the "hotel" area. You can't go wrong with either option. Inside rooms still have plenty of privacy and you don't hear the hallway or your neighbors. They also do room service so you can get a yummy dessert late at night. Another thing I love is that they include a breakfast for everyone who stays, which you order the night before. You can also order additional things for special occasions like flowers for anniversaries, an entire cake for birthdays, etc. And the service is always so great. It feels like they really know you and care about their guests. They also have large jacuzzi tubs in each room so you can relax. I just love being able to wake up, open the windows, and see the gorgeous mountains right outside.

So there is good and bad with the Alaskan Inn, To start with the good is, The manager Brenda is amazing and super friendly and so willing to help in any way possible, she was the best! All of the staff is super friendly, and always willing to help, the location is really pretty, especially in the winter, we stayed there in February. Lots of snow in Ogden Canyon is very pretty that time of year. My wife ordered roses and picnic basket, that was perfect! The food is pretty OK, breakfast is served right to your room nice and hot and anything that you order from the menu is on the tray. The not so good, the facility is not in good working order, our heater in our room is new and did not work so we had to use the old heater, if you're trying to fill the spot tub in the bathroom, the shower does not turn off so while you're filling the tub or if you're wanting to add water you're also taking a shower, The caulking around the tub is all cracked and leaks water everywhere, there's a constant dripping noise 24 hours a day that continues to drip all night long and will sound like Chinese water torture after a while, I did not sleep hardly at all the entire weekend because it was so noisy, don't recommend rooms on the canyon road side, super noisy day and all night. I had a chicken sandwich that came on a bun that looked like it had been sacrificed to the bread gods, the tomato slices were thicker than the chicken, more mayo than anything, I just didn't eat the bread. The bad, our room was on the road side so all night long you don't get any sleep because of the cars going up and down the canyon, some of them so loud, it rattles the windows in the room, this went on all night long, our dog was a mess from it being so noisy, she never settled down. We ended up leaving a day early... More good to finish, We got a massage and Brenda was so kind to check in on Duchess while we were out for an hour. For the staff we loved, for the facility not so much.

Went here for our honeymoon, the theming is great and the staff was super nice. My only complaint would be that on our check out day we didn't receive our breakfast and we're rushed out. (Our honeymoon was a few days before Memorial Day and the weekend.) we could tell they were gearing up for the holiday weekend but that's sad we were pushed aside for it. :( Other than that there isn't any complaints. Although my phone service was practically non existent but my husbands wasn't and we're on the same network with the same phone. ‍ so just be warned you may or may not have phone service and working wifi.

My husband and I came here for a staycation for our first wedding anniversary. This place was everything we wanted. The staff is very nice, the cabins are so cute, each room has their own theme. The location makes you feel like you are at a far away get away. The rooms were clean, had complementary sparkling cider. The jet tubes were awesome, makes me want to get one for my home. The breakfast that is served to your door was surprisingly really good, it made me look forward to our second morning breakfast. Overall a great experience and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful lobby!

Absolute amazing find! We spent the week hotel hopping and this was our last stop. Our only disappointment is that we didn't find it sooner! We will definitely be back!

Our stay was just what we needed! Our family was visiting from Arizona for a funeral and we needed a little time to our selves. The cabin was perfect for the three of us. My daughter slept in in the bunk beds and was thrilled. Our bed was comfortable and soft. We were spoiled with sparkling cider and chocolates . Breakfast choice was wonderful! The only small complaint we had was that our breakfast was cold, We were so looking forward to it so that was a bit of a disappointment. We will be returning for sure!!

We will try to stay here again when passing through. It was the best! Leash off pet runs for both large and small dogs. Plenty of other unimproved areas as well as an expertly manicured awesome waterfall, pond and real grass garden behind the joint. The garden area is isolated from a busy train track by a large berm but you can definitely tell the trains go by. There's a couple of gas stations as well as a 7-11 just a block away to top off the tank and get a slurpee before you get back on the road. Breakfast was a typical free menu but I noticed they had a rotating feature each day. The hotel grounds and room were very clean and orderly with plenty of parking just outside of the first floor rooms. The pet friendly room had hardwood flooring so it was nice to walk around barefoot instead of putting on shower shoes just to go to the bathroom. The room was very clean and nicely adorned with necessities. An excellent pet friendly stay. Dicks

Super unfortunate when trying to take a shower because the tub kept filling up, I kept having to grab the drain every 30 seconds to lift it up manually - which kept making my hands slimy. Even getting the drain to stay up momentarily, the tub still backed up. After having a look under the drain I now understand why. The tub in general just looked unclean, with a greenish stain surrounding the drain area. It looks almost like there was an attempt to clean, but not a great one. Additionally, the water was warm (not hot) at the hottest setting for less than 5 minutes, then the water started to get cold again. The luke warm water would also fluctuate in pressure when it was warm - super strange. Was also not a huge fan of the body wash, "Argan Oil Complex", whatever the scent is smells straight up like play doh; "fun to play with, not to eat" (or wash your body with). The bed was not super comfortable, somehow stiff AND springy. I found myself tossing and turning trying to find the "sweet spot" and just couldn't quite get there. Not up to par for $100+ per night. The staff was friendly, and helpful when it came to the check-in process, but the experience of having to try to fix things, or deal with them rather, just to make staying here manageable was not awesome.

Called in the AM and were informed "someone should have told you when you checked in our air conditioning is down". Except it wasn't down it was only down in the guest rooms. Contacted the front desk because we were not informed of this at any point prior to check in or when checking in. It was mid-80s during the day to the point where we had to leave the small cracked window open (with not screen so this was not possible at night due to bugs flying in) and the door to the hallway open while they hosted a Narcotics Anonymous event all weekend downstairs while traveling with kids. It was at least 90 in the room during the day and mid 80s overnight we couldn't sleep and kept waking up. We traveled out of state for a job for our teen daughters who assist at a convention and everywhere within the vicinity was sold out so we couldn't move hotels. I tried to get the management to refund us part of the nightly rate and they refused and gave us a "generous" 7000 bonvoy points "toward a future stay." So I have to spend more money so hopefully the next franchise treats us better. Ridiculous. Never again and probably never in a Marriott again since they aren't corporate controlled anymore each individual property manager can choose how they treat their guests.

The room has a good size built-in luggage rack that will fit 2 small suit cases or one large. The desk area with lamp was a good size with a comfortable chair. The chaise lounge is comfortable and will fit 3 people side by side. That side table was very useful. The King bed was too soft for my preference. Felt like I was in a divit. Large fluffy pullows in a variety of soft and firm. Sheets are soft and comfortable. Aircon controls are inside the unit. It was a bit loud but not outrageous. Everything was clean and tidy. Lotion and hand soap are mounted on the wall. No small soaps. Three bath towels, two face and hand towels are soft and absorbant. The faucet is installed so far away from the sink, water barely falls into the bowl and everytime it is used makes a wet mess on the vanity. Toilet is clean, worked well and had two rolls of tp.
